You won't be disappointed. Portions are fairly large, and the staff was very attentive to our needs. The ambience was perfect. It kinda reminded me of a romantic log cabin setting. Ample parking. Mama Luke's pizza is one of the better "Italian style" pies , where there is no shortage of pizza establishments in CT. Other great items on the menu are their salads. Their best app by far is the heaping portion of eggplant fries and tasty marinara sauce. The bar area is cozy yet vibrant, and the martinis are quite good. The bartenders as well as Allan (the Manager) go out of their way to make sure that your food and drinks are up to par. You don't wanna try new things and you want to enjoy a meal that you've enjoyed before and you want that consistency. The pizzas are excellent the garlic knots are fresh and doughy, buttery and garlic, the eggplant fries are abundant and just amazing sweet, and with a nice big bowl of sauce. We had the chance to customize the pizza with our likings. We placed bacon, mushroom and pineapple. It was thin crust and cooked just right. We also ordered carbonara pasta with shrimp. Creamy and delicious. Good amount - shareable. It was lunch time on a Wednesday. It was not crowded. Good selection on their menu. The waitress was helpful. Clean place and cozy feel. We went after 5:00pm on a Sunday night and the parking lot was jamming. We did find a spot, went in, they got us a booth and sat us right down. The ambiance is a log cabin open concept and looks clean. The place was three quarters full so it a little loud occasionally. The service is proficient, friendly and serves with urgency. I got the chicken parm and soup. It was pasta fagiole. It was tasty but thought it could have been warmer. When the chicken Parm came, it was surprisingly a large portion for the money . Stopped in with my daughter for first time. The food is delicious (try the eggplant fries appetizer). Enormous portion sizes! Leftovers to last several days and at a very reasonable price. Loaded potato pizza was good. Daughter had chicken vodka Parmesan, once again, absolutely enormous portion size. Mama Luke's, rebranded from heralded Joey Garlic's several years ago, still does numerous entrees great. Burgers are top notch and wonderfully customizable, and their subs (grinders) are awesome. I'm a giant fan of the chicken parm - which they'll do with grilled chicken if you ask. Also, their steak & cheese is the best around. Pizza is just ok these days. Thankfully, they are re-allowing call-in orders for take-out, vs previously forcing you into a tedious online ordering website (which made my family boycott them for a stretch). Martin was absolutely phenomenal. He was attentive to our every need, even knowing we needed things when we didn't realized. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions. We had the bottomless gnocchi special and the food was delicious. Large portions for a very good price. Desserts were tasty and the coffee was very good. Ive been going here for the last year and their pizza is very good. IF they get ghe order right....out of the probably 15 times I've been there in the last year....they got it right maybe 7 times. Not good odds for a $30...it's a crap shoot if they get the toppings right and if you say you want it for a certain time....it should not be ready earlier and by the time you get it home it's a soggy mess. Tried Mama Luke's for the first time today. The Buffalo chicken wrap and meatball grinder were very good, fresh. Once the server brought our food, that was it. No return to the table to see how everything was, and as we sat with empty water glasses, our server nowhere in sight, it became apparent she wasn't coming back so I got up, and went to the front, found a young man carrying supplies. I explained our server hadn't returned, and could we get more water. He promptly took care of it. About ten minutes later our server came back and asked if we wanted anything else. At that point we wanted to pay the check and leave. She did quickly and brought the receipts back and hurried away. We'll probably give them another try, but it's super easy to check on your table. read more

I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with pork, marinara and parmesan. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I had to look hard to find the three little pieces of what looked like sausage that was apparently passing for the pork. If you are not going to put a decent amount of pork in the dish, why mention it at all. I brought this to the attention of our server who said she would tell the manager. Nothing came of my complaint. Made what was otherwise a pleasant evening very disappointing. Stay away from this menu choice. It's nothing more than a serving of overpriced rigatoni. read more

Let us begin with the customer service, which was definitely on point. My waitress was great and very vibrant. Now I was only here for the Buffalo Wings but wanted to try a few items all the same. We will start with their parmesan fries. Lightly crisp with a great amount of parmesan and garlic spread about, even within the creamy dipping sauce. The fries were so good on their own, that the sauce just had a walk on role in this tasty little movie. Looking around, the restaurant was nice and clean. Plenty of space for seating and plenty of parking as well. Moving along to their garlic knots. Probably the largest I have seen in a long while. Nice and hot, fresh thick bites of garlic heaven. The butter was just dripping off of these bad boys and so prepare to be passed a breath mint if you do not have one of your own for the garlic is STRONG on their knots but that action packed flavor; is enough to keep you coming back for more. I wish that I could say the same for the Buffalo Wings themselves. I went to pick up my drum and it was cold to the touch. I took a bite and my own teeth tried to run away from my mouth. The meat was minimal and a bit overcooked too. The buffalo sauce needed jui-jitsu lessons for it did not have any type of kick. These wings were the frozen and forgotten kind, that should not be on anyones menu both real and or imaginary. If this review was for the wings alone, I'd give 2 stars total. 1 star for the wings and then 1 star for their customer service. read more

My friend and I decided to meet for dinner and I suggested Mama Luke's since my family and I go there for lunch and an occasional dinner. Well, I got there first and was greeted by a pleasant young lady - LouLou!!! FIRST time she served me - She had a great smile and I told her I was waiting for someone. She asked if I would like water and something to drink. She made me feel as though she was a grand-daughter I never knew. During our dinner, LouLou was attentive, on point and professional with our service [as well as with other customers around us]. And at the same time always smiling and pleasant and actually looked as though she enjoyed her job. As far as the meal, we both loved our dinner. The food was served hot and tasty, the quality and quantity were excellent and well worth the price. Highly recommend Mama Luke's for families and couple. I recently had some time to kill before a late afternoon meeting, so I decided to stop for a Happy Hour drink at their bar. Within a few minutes of sitting down, I recognized the belligerent drunk (Bob) sitting at the other end. He wears a green hat. I remembered him from the last time I was there a few weeks ago. True to form, he's talking to the person next to him shouting expletives within just about every sentence. The table of ladies behind me said something to the bartender and their response was that he was harmless and they would tell him to tone it down. The couple next to me was there for a celebration drink and they couldn't enjoy it because of this out-of-control loudmouth drunk. When the couple was leaving, they mentioned something to Bob about his demeaner and he apologized saying he was in the military and that's how he was brought up. The lady said it was very disrespectful to her and thanked him for his service. When the couple left, he was loudly calling her a stuck up b*tch and her husband a P*ssy for not standing up to him and taking it outside. His words, not mine. The whole bar heard it. It's very disgraceful that this guy is here on a regular basis acting like this and the management says nothing because they want his regular $$. I will be telling all my friends about this and recommend that if you see him sitting at the bar, you should do an about face and leave immediately unless you like to listen to a drunk complain about life and constantly dropping the F-bomb. read more

Great local restaurant! The triangle shaped crispy fried mozzarella is great! Their pizza is always good and the grinders are pretty epic! The entrees are huge so we've never had a chance to try the desserts. It's definitely a place we like to come to again, and again and bring out of town guests. Grateful this is nearby! read more

I could only say good things about Mama Luke's. We took my mother there for Mother's Day. And what an amazing time we had the food was really good. We had the eggplant fries and the fried calamari with the hot peppers for appetizers. We all enjoyed them. For our entrees, we had chicken picatta, chicken marsala, chicken saltemboca, goat cheese salad, Alfredo, kids chicken fingers and fries and side salads.
