This company was sent out through my home warranty company. The service call was to prepare my built-in microwave. My son was here while the technician came to do the repair. The technician told my son that the handle was broken. My son doesn't live here and would have no way of knowing if the handle was broken. It was NOT broken previous to the technician coming. There also is a chip in my stove top okay when I left a voicemail regarding these damages he says that that's impossible. He admitted to me that he had to remove the entire casing so how is it not possible that a chip could happen something could have hit my stove top a tool could have banged against it. Once I informed him that neither the handle or the chip was there before he came he stopped responding unfortunately I'm a single working parent and needed to be at work and was not able to supervise him so he's taking full advantage of this stating that he's not going to fix these. I had no issues setting up service for my dryer that stopped spinning. The guy made it same day, which was very helpful. He was very polite and didn't mind answering all of my questions. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 instead of 5 is due to the cost. My dryer turned out to be fine, a piece inside fell off. It was 60$ for the tech to just put the piece back in place. It did take him about 25 min to get it put back on and the dryer back together, but I still feel like 60$ was a lot for just putting a piece back in place. Just my personal opinion. The tech did offer a 90 day "warranty" if the piece falls off again, they will put it back on for free again or put that 60$ towards the replacement of the piece, so that is very nice. I'm a yelp stickler, otherwise I would have given a 5 stars probably. Great service, just think 60$ was a little high. read more

I called Maricopa Appliance Repair to come out and see what was wrong with the bottom freezer. it was building up ice and the door was out of alignment. i wish i could remember the young mans name who came out. he was very courteous and knowledgeable, it took 2 minutes and he knew what the problem was. so i scheduled an appointment for the next day. he came out with a second young man and fixed it no time at all. when they left the area was cleaned and the refrigerator was back in place. they also impressed my 91 year old father. if any one need an appliance repair call Maricopa appliance. I have used Maricopa Appliance Repair several times for things that need attention in our house. After unsuccessfully attempting to repair our decade old washing machine the decision was made that it could not be repaired without the costs being prohibitive, so I was only charged for the service call, and advised to buy a new machine. My dryer went out and I called and requested a diagnosis from Gary last week. He checked out the dryer and ordered the part and came back today to install the part. Gary is friendly,helpful,very knowledgeable and always shows up in the two hour window of time. If you have an appliance go out give the company a call and have them check out your appliance and see if it is worth fixing. There is a $45.00 service call and if you decide to fix it that goes towards the repair. If not you pay the service call and you are done. He was courteous, knowledgeable, repaired my dishwasher, following a protocol of the easiest fix to the most complicated. Happily the complicated fix worked and we are up and running. My experience with this company has been a nightmare from the word go. They sent a repairman out to repair the fridge that was in the property we are renting. The repairman decided that it was going to cost about $500 to repair, and the property manager that handles our rental told them they could send out a used one to replace rather than repair. By lunch the next day we had heard nothing from anyone as to when we would have the replacement fridge and I was told I was confrontational when I called them to find out what was being done. The fact that they did not contact me to keep me updated was not reason enough for me to be angry with the poor service. That was all bad enough, but then they delivered a fridge that was all dented and had been spray can painted to try to cover some of the damage. The price they were charging for it was outrageous considering its condition, and the fact that a brand new one that would have fit properly could have been purchased at a big box store for just 30 more than the price they expected to get for the used one. The fridge was too tall for the space, and instead of trying to find another fridge, they left it and said they were going to send out a carpenter to cut the cabinet to fit the fridge. This was not authorized by the landlord, but rather just the property manager. The fridge was left out in the walkway between our counter and island, where it still remains. They were not authorized to cut the cupboard and it was requested that the original fridge be returned. They have told the property manager that it cannot be done before Friday. The claim is that due to where we live that is the soonest they could get it out here. I will NEVER use them in the future, and I have already begun telling friends and family of the extremely poor service, bad attitude, and outrageous prices they wanted to charge. read more

So this is an update to my previous review, which was a 1 star, as I was so disappointed with the service! Not to mention the diagnosis which couldn't have been any more wrong. With the help of FB group, I was able to correctly diagnosis the problem (faulty self defrosting component) vs leaking coolant by the service tech! Fast foward to the Monday after my review... I received a call at 8am from the owner of the company, Gary, who had read my review and wanted a chance to make things right. I must say i was caught off guard by the phone call, but I am all about second chances, so I agreed to meet him at home at 1pm. This meant leaving work half day, but he was so sincere, it was hard to say no. He was prompt (arriving before me). He opened the freezer, saw the frost, and immediately got to work, removing the items and took off the back panel. Just as i expected, it was covered in ice! He got his steam dryer (if i got it right), and in a few mins all the ice was gone. He said he would be back on Thursday with the part (thermal something), and I should be good until then. The temperatures in the freezer and the fridge would climb back down. The total cost would be $140, and no payment was due until the work was completed. He apologized profusely the entire time, for the incorrect diagnosis by his technician and mentioned that he would review the issue and correct troubleshooting process with him. The whole visit was about 1/2 hour. Sure enough, the temperatures climbed back down (freezer to about 22 and fridge to about 43). Thursday, he was again prompt (getting there before me again, as I had to rush home from work). I emptied freezer, he took back panel off, turned on his defrosting equipment, and set to work to replace the faulty part. 15 mins later, he was all done!. Within hours, my freezer was down to 0 and the fridge down to 37!! I was ecstatic!!! I was definitely impressed with his work, his knowledge, his professionalism, his customer service, and most of all, his sincere efforts to improve his company's reputation, as seen through my eyes. I will definitely use his company again, for any appliance repairs! I was helping get my daughter's newly purchased re-sale home in shape for her move-in. I ran the self-clean cycle on her GE Profile oven. Two-thirds of the way in the cycle the oven started beeping and flashing an error code. I turned it off and followed the instructions in the manual. After re-connecting and turning it on it still did not unlock the door or the controls and was now showing a different code. I called Maricopa Appliance and they sent Gary out for the estimate. He was very prompt, polite, and professional. He ran a diagnostic and said it needed a new control board (or something to that effect). He returned with it exactly when he said he would and installed it. Unfortunately, the new board was apparently defective as it did not work. At that time we decided, because the part itself was almost $500 that we would get a new oven. Gary understood, said no problem, gave us some good advice and his card. I was so impressed at how this was all handled from the initial phone call to the end. This company is easy to work with and it's obvious that they want to help you get the best results.
