Quick, good CS and reasonably priced. The only reason that they received 4 stars is because their company policy indicates that if a customer uses a "rewards" (Visa, MC) card they are to be charged an additional percentage for the transaction to cover the higher transaction fee they are charged. As a small business owner I have never been charged an additional transaction fee for accepting a "rewards" card, except Amex and suggest the business owner shop around for a new credit card processing company. Luckily I had a debit Mastercard on me that I was willing to use otherwise I would have had no choice but to go somewhere else!!! read more

Very quick ...took less than 10 minutes. Two downsides: 1) Cash or debit card only 2) An unusually high Electronic Transmission fee of $5.80. Normally this is $1-$3. My coupon specified the smog test cost + $8.25 for the Certificate--no mention of a Elec. Trans. fee. read more

I came in all excited to use my coupon that I found in the penny saver and the clerk crumbled up my coupon and threw it in the trash. What the hell? I'm not sure if they always honor the coupon price regardless of having a coupon or not. It ended up being $44 for the smog with electronic submittal to the DMV and with tax. They were done within 15 minutes and my car passed and that's all I cared about. The clerk was informative, it wouldn't hurt if he smiled a little, but hey my car passed, so I'll take that. You also have the option to pay for your registration, so you can get your tags on the spot for an extra $20, or you can just go online and pay for the registration and wait a couple of days for it. Worst customer service on the planet, the smug little tech was so rude, and wouldn't even give his name He failed me and instead of giving me the heads up so I could go and get the issue fixed and come back and pass. Today was my third time using West Valley Smog over the past three years and as usual, these guys never disappoint! I showed up to their shop around 10AM this morning and was happy to see there were no other customers waiting. I was immediately greeted upon arrival and invited inside their shop. There were two employees present and one of the guys took my car inside the bay while the other employee started the work on the computer. Within a few minutes of my arrival a few other customers arrived, so I was feeling good that I arrived when I did. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I was told my vehicle was finished and good to go. I had only been in the shop less then ten minutes and I was on my way!
