I've come here twice and spent $1700 to still have the same issue. Each time my car isn't ready on time and they don't explain a thing. To start I went in for a leak. They told me they would look and call me back. After a text I get the price and confirm. I then get a follow up call saying when the part came in it cost more so i had to pay the difference. Since they already had my car I had no choice but to pay it potentially deal with an issue. They didn't explain the work or options. It's very poor in customer service aspect of things. Despite their name, these guys do not know how to work on German cars. I took my aging BMW there for an oil change, coolant flush, and, transmission flush, all routine maintenance items. They literally screwed up all of them. They put in the wrong spec engine oil in my car, which they could've found out with a 30 second Google search. My car takes 0w30 or 0w40, they put in 0w20. My coolant system was working fine before but when they did the coolant exchange they broke a clip on the radiator and now its leaking. Oh and they had the audacity to charge me for the part they broke themselves. I managed to get that refunded after some arguing. I took the car back to them and they said they fixed it but its still leaking, albeit slowly. My car takes 7 quarts of transmission fluid and they tried putting in 9 quarts. Again something they could've found out with a simple Google search. The extra transmission fluid were literally leaking into a puddle on my driveway. I took the car back to the shop and the tech said he sucked out some fluids and everything should be fine now. I had another shop check it afterward and they discovered that my car was missing HALF of the required transmission fluids. I mean seriously do those guys check their work at all? I am writing because I wanted to share what happened to me. I went to this Westbahn Auto to have some mudguards placed on my vehicle. They pulled the car around and I waited in the lobby. When the car was pulled up my driver door was facing the business door. I was distracted by the mechanic that put the mudguards on with flimsy conversation so that I wouldn't walk around the vehicle. I went down to the Kroger gas station down the street within a few minutes and got gas. As I walked around my car I was horrified to see the gash of paint that was missing from my rear right corner bumper. I immediately flew back down the street to this place and I stormed in demanding someone take accountability for this. I was told that they didn't do it and the bay that my car was in there was nothing behind it and I must have come there with my car already like that. I knew that wasn't true because that morning I had taken the trash to the curb on the right side of my car and that wasn't there. The mechanic that moved my car looked me in my face and told me he didn't hit anything. Once I demanded that they review the cameras they then saw that this smug face lying mechanic backed my car into a John Moore truck. I wanted to have my body work done at Lexus but they insisted that they could do the job. I should have listened to my first mind and had it done at the dealer. I had to take my car there 3 more additional times for them to correct the paint job they had done and it still wasn't right. I had them paint something else for me that I wanted to put on my car just to call it even since they couldn't get the bumper exactly right after 3 tries and I couldn't keep spending my extra time dealing with this. When I asked about the other item I had them doing for me just to call it even the owner got snappy and told me if I couldn't wait I could take it elsewhere. Meanwhile forgetting had the lying employee not damaged my car I wouldn't be there anyways. I found it extremely disrespectful especially since I didn't press charges for the initial damage. I don't trust them and will never deal with them again. Attitudes are horrible and while I was sitting there one of the many times they tried to correct their paint job I saw how they were giving one customer ( because they don't have many ) the run around on their vehicle. I came here to get an oil change because they had a great deal on a groupon. They ended up charging me more because they said my car needed a specialty filter. I called before I arrived and I was told I could come anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 and then when I arrived I was told since I didn't have an appointment it was going to be a long wait. It ended up being about an hour wait. Everyone was pretty friendly but the technician did give off the impression that he didn't want to service my car he kept saying he didn't have time and they didn't have the right filter. The main thing that concerned me is when I left they didn't give me a car report print out like most places do where they tell you about your tires or your windshield wipers or your air filters or low fluids they didn't give me an update on any of that stuff they just gave me my payment receipt and sent me on my way so for the amount of money I paid even with the Groupon you literally only get your oil and filter changed they don't look at anything in the car they don't give you an inspection report it's just new oil and new filter and that's it. While I was there another guy waited maybe an hour and finally questioned his vehicle just to find out it had been done the whole time and parked on the side of the building so there's definitely a little communication issue here. I've been coming to this shop for a while now. Good mechanics are hard to find and they have always done me right. I even have them work on my classic car (Bel Air) which can be a real racket if you bring it to the wrong shop. They have fixed just about everything from timing to wheel bearings. This auto company share a parking lot with Anna's crawfish and I just did a quick park to ask about prices. The owner came over and told me to move the my car. I told him I'm just getting prices and he yelled at me "move it!" I love the way anna cooks crawfish but the way I was treated my the auto shop owner was unacceptable. I'm giving this business a review based on the 2 times I've been here to get my vehicles state inspected. They are fast and convenient plain and simple. Every time I come it takes less than 30 minuets to have my keys back in my hand from the time I give it to them on arrival. I never have to wait behind of bunch of other vehicles getting who knows what done because they have a dedicated state inspector. I went here for a full synthetic oil change on a Groupon and I was told I had a leak in my radiator. They showed me I didn't have any fluid in the container. My car is only three years old, and I've only had it for a total of eight months as it is new to me. I've never had any problems with it before. I decided not to get the work done here, because I still have a warranty and would prefer the dealership. Anyway he couldn't show me the leak and wanted to run a diagnostic, I let him do it and was told I had a leak in the top hose. They did me a favor of filling the liquid before I left. I went straight to the dealership and was told I didn't have a leak and for weeks now my liquid has been full. I don't know what type of game they're trying to play there, but it's not funny and it's not fair to customers coming in. I was told I had to pay $100 out of pocket to get the flush that was necessary to replace a hose. Anyway after all that the mileage for the oil change was only 3,000 miles. I expect more, this isn't my first oil change and I pay extra for synthetic. I'm not even sure that's what they put in my car. Listen I know I came in on a Groupon and I saved money by doing so, but please don't try to steal from your customers. Shady business would never come back here again. read more

I've come to this local auto shop for some basic stuff (inspections mainly). With the pre-defined services, they are good (quick turn around since they aren't usually that busy... hmmm). I had a check engine code come on, and decided to have them check it out. I encountered their $40 minimum fee to do anything. Turns out that the easiest path to fix was a gas cap... another $40. So, when my check engine light came on again a week later, I wasn't happy. Hint for all of y'all, I went to Autozone and they have the device that looks up the check engine codes, and they do it for free! He even offered to print it out. Anyway, it was the same code as before, so, I went back to Westbahn. I told the owner that I had the issue again, and he said "You have to take it to the dealer". There wasn't, let me check the cap for you, or anything helpful. I asked him to check the cap to be sure. Begrudgingly, he agreed. When the monitor was on, he had me go to the back with him. His manners are in need of help, since he just walked thru the door to the shop, and let it close on me. At the monitor, he just stood back and pointed at the screen indicating that the cap passed the pressure test. Professionalism - lacking Customer service - abysmal Attitude befitting a business that warrants return customers - hardly Note: if you deal with any of his staff (his sons?), they are generally cordial. The person at the desk said they could not make the decision and would get back to me. I left my phone number and waited for a call. Two weeks later still no call, so I again drive to the shop. Upon entering the waiting room is completely empty. I wait 20 minutes before someone comes up to me. I explain that I was supposed to get a call back about getting a bumper repainted over two weeks ago, but have not heard anything. No apologies, the person walks past me outside, closing the door on me. At first I wasn't sure if I should wait inside or follow. I decided to follow. I was told that I need to move my car 2 feet over (mind you the parking lot is empty) to get a quote. While moving the vehicle he disappears. I stand puzzled. Comes out a minute later and tells me it will be $600 to repaint a bumper. I asked what happened to the $300 quote I received 2 weeks prior to which I received a reply of "600" as he started to walk away completely. Needless to say again, very unprofessional, rude, and poor customer service to say the least. They do not stand by their word and what can only be assumed from that, their work. read more

Where do I start?.......... I came in because my Car was running hot. I was told it was my thermostat and I had also needed my spark plugs changed which cost me $650. I was told the work came with a 12 month warranty. I got my car service on Nov 15 and today is the 18 and my car is still running hot. Not only did they not even look at my car to honor the warranty the owner and workers were very rude. I am a single mother that couldn't even afford to get my car service but I was able to borrow money for a so call professional mechanic shop that I trust to fix my car and do what they promised to do but instead they blew the head gasket and did not want to touch my car or honor their warranty . And what is most shocking all of this happen within three days . I think I was taking advantage of because I was a woman . I do not recommend anyone to get service from them and they should be shut down . I will be filing a lawsuit because now I am out of a car for service that was rendered and that was incomplete and they refund me for the thermostat and seem to think that it covers up for their mistake in the service that they did to my engine . Water was coming from my tail pipes and also smoke After I pick my car up and when I told them that that my car was not smoking or water was leaking from the tail pipes before I bought it I was told the night that I brought the car back that he knew what had happened and he was going to fix it. Instead everything got covered up instead of them just saying they messed up and fix the problem again they just threw me to the wolves .They are the worst and I will make sure to spread the word to our community, at all of our neighborhood meetings, also I will make sure not to refer business their way from Allstate. Stay away from this place unless you like sub-standard work done on your vehicle. The owner is belligerent and has the worst attitude I've come across in the car repair business. I've frequented Westbahn for many years because it was convenient but there are too many other places that can do superior work to this shop and actually appreciate you as a customer. Don't let the parking lot full of vehicles fool you that this is a thriving business, it's actually just the opposite. I'd give them 0 stars if I could!! I wanted to love this place because it is so close to my house. Went in due to Groupon for oil change. I'm always wary of Groupon auto deals but I decided it's just an oil change, I've been through a hundred oil changes with no problems. I WAS WRONG! Oil change took over 2 hrs despite me being only person there. After they changed it, they tried to tell me I had a leak under my car but couldn't tell me what. I thought this was strange as I have never noticed any leaks in my parking spaces plus I had just had it serviced by dealer 2 weeks prior and they didn't mention it. Anyway, Two days after oil change, I went out to my car and noticed a huge puddle of oil on the ground under my car. Called them, they sent a tow truck which was cool, I felt like they were taking care of a situation they messed up. They had my car for 4.5 hrs and never called me, I had to call them to see if they were going to have to keep the car since they were set to close in 30 mins. The guy was like, I was just about to call you, then proceeded to tell me there was nothing wrong with the car, the oil change was performed correctly and the puddle was just some residual oil that spilled when they changed it. There was nothing "residual" about a fucking puddle of oil. When I asked why they had it so long if nothing was wrong, he didn't have an answer for me. I wanted an invoice of what they performed and the diagnosis and they did not want to give it to me, when they did, all it said was courtesy check. These people are shady as hell and don't care about the quality of work they do. They did not want to admit that they fukked up a simple oil change. I have now lost the peace of mind I had with my vehicle because I'm constantly checking for leaks and wondering if my engine got damaged from driving around without oil.
