Janet and Jaime somehow remember everything...your spouse, your kids, your job, your vacation plans, and probably what you had for lunch last Tuesday. They make every visit feel less like an appointment and more like catching up with old friends. Dr. Jorgenson is simply outstanding. He's incredibly knowledgeable, takes the time to explain everything, and never makes you feel rushed. No question is too small, and you always leave feeling informed and confident about your care. And Katie, my dental hygienist, is the best in the business. She's thoughtful, thorough, and somehow makes having sharp instruments in your mouth a pleasant experience. She's personable and easy to talk to, but also knows that not everyone wants a full conversation while someone's polishing their teeth. It's a rare talent. The office has seen me through regular cleanings, deep cleanings, Invisalign, and even a root canal. If there's a dental loyalty program, I think I've earned platinum status by now. He then asked if I wanted to remove and replace that tooth too but I would have had to pay for it myself. At that point, I honestly just wanted to leave because I was afraid more damage could happen. I originally went in for work on one tooth that only had a stain. Somehow, I was convinced to replace that tooth, but the process ended up involving shaving down the two healthy teeth next to it in order to place the replacement tooth in the middle. If I had known from the beginning that this was the plan, I would have never agreed to it. Now the chipped tooth has a white mark/stain that people constantly mistake for food stuck between my teeth. On top of that, I was told the dental work would last around 10 years, but it did not even last 6. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with this dentist. However, since moving to his new facility, I was treated by a new dentist without prior notification and his staff were not the same (ok, change happens.) Before leaving my appointment 10/2022 they requested I email a copy of my new insurance information. No problem, emailed it right over and requested an Invisalign payment plan. I never heard back about the plan. The billing coordinator dropped the ball... She NEVER entered in my new insurance information and billed the old insurance on file. Of course the claim was denied... Rightfully so. I caught the mistake and they were able to re-bill in June '23. They collected payment from my initial claim and then sent me to collections for my portion of said claim in less than a month!!! Once notified about my collections status I called the office clearly upset. The receptionist tells me there are notes of attempts made to call and collect the outstanding balance from me. I WAS NEVER CALLED. I ask them who said they called me "the billing coordinator" I asked to speak directly to this person. I do not haver her name, BUT I had a frank discussion with her about forging patient communications and that making fraudulently claims about contact before submitting to collections IS ILLEGAL. I worked in medical office management and billing for 10 years prior to this situation. I'm fortunate to have the knowledge base on how to handle these matters... Others may not be so lucky. I was able to call my insurance, verify payment to this provider, deductible and coinsurance responsibilities within 15 minutes. She apologized, waved any and all fees and had me removed from the collections account. I hope this review helps anyone to hold businesses accountable. This went beyond poor business and customer service... This was a violation in ethics. I haven't been back since and hope they have adjusted course since my experience.
