One Star Is Too Generous .Avoid at All Costs. This place is an absolute disaster from top to bottom. The building is filthy, and it's clear they have no idea how to manage appointments. I had a 9:00 AM appointment (the first available slot of the day) and arrived 10 minutes early. Despite this, I wasn't called back until 9:50. Then, unbelievably, I was completely forgotten about. I ultimately walked out without receiving any service, and frankly, I'm glad I did. The exam room I was briefly shown into was dirty and clearly not sanitized between patients. As if that wasn't enough, the front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and seemed genuinely happy to see me leave. If you value your time, your health, or basic respect, go anywhere else. This place shouldn't be operating under these conditions. read more

Terrible experience Jessica has a terrible attitude unprofessional she told me to come in at 10:30 but I wasn't seen till 12:10pm mind you THREE people came in AFTER me and were seen BEFORE me, Then once I did get seen Dr.Patel was very unwelcoming and rude not friendly at all I waited 3 hours just to get told i have to wait 3 weeks to get what I actually came in for this entire office is rude and unprofessional. The Western Dental on Madison - 3485 Madison Street, Riverside - their customer service has gone down the drain into the sewer. I have tried for over 5 weeks to get the approval of dental work - found out today the insurance company needs more information - and all I could get was we will wait and see when they approve - the thing is that they will not approve because they are missing information - and all they could say was we are to busy to give them a call. Overall this place is just okay, this is one of the few locations that takes my insurance in the area. Pros: Technicians and front office staff are very nice and courteous. They are also open on Saturdays which is a huge plus. Parking lot also has lots of spaces and right in front which is good cause it's not in the best of locations. Cons: (BIG ONE) Definitely make sure you check your co-pay breakdown on your insurance website before paying. I was almost over charged $800+. Luckily i caught it right away since I've had the procedure done before. The staff apologized and said their system can be wrong sometimes. The dentist I've experienced here did not have the best bedside manner. I've come a few times and not once did i get after care instructions post procedure or even a run down of what to expect each visit. In previous clinics I've been too the dentist take a few minutes to do this so maybe this place just doesn't? They also always seem busy so im assuming they are just trying to get people in and out. but if you a new to a procedure or don't know what's happening it can make you feel a little uneasy. read more

I am being well cared for at Western Dental. My primary dentist was friendly as always and explained what was going to be done. My appointment was a follow up cleaning; no pain and everything went smoothly. I forgot the hygienist name but she was very professional. She made sure I understood my instructions. Parent Alert: Heads up for parents. They have a policy that you can't be in the room with your child who is a minor, even if your child requests it. My daughter had a bad cleaning experience our first visit. I then requested to sit in on the second appointment due to the bad experience, and I was treated hostile and my daughter who is a minor was treated rudely like it was a ridiculous and unheard of request. The supervisor asked my daughter condescendingly "I don't mean to be rude, does your mommy go to school with you?", right in front of me. We told them that if the policy was that important that we were ok with going somewhere else. They said it was, and we left. As a parent it's crazy that you can't request this. read more

The managing director here is a fine, intelligent gentleman. The two associate dentists I dealt with, unfortunately, were atrocious. There is a Dr. Patel who is an absolute imbecile. Never have a met a more narrow-minded, tunnel-visioned dentist. There was two instances of plain outright idiocy and another of borderline negligence. She provided a filling of a large cavity but neglected to tell me I would likely be in pain for an extended period of time. Not a word, in fact. I ended up coming back and meeting with the managing director, who was patient and explained to me I might need more than 5-6 weeks for a complete recovery. I went back and she had the nerve to interrogate me why I was bringing my child in for a checkup. I had to explain that she's had major work done and I couldn't even explain that the previous dentist under my old dental insurance policy had recommended a quick follow up because she was so intensely furious. I asked her if she could just talk a look at my child 's teeth and she paused twice in outright refusal to proceed. Amazing! And then she refused to proceed in any shape or form wasting my entire family's time! I don't want to spend any more time on this review, but this dentist should apologize to me firstly for negligence after treatment and separately for being an impatient, narrow-minded and unprofessional service provider. Not family friendly. I am new to town. Simply said that I tried hard to make the dentist work because we have had a great experience with the Orthodontist, but the experience is completely opposite on the dental side. After several terrible appointments, absolutely poor customer service, and wasted time. To whom it may concern,   I am very disappointed in the lack of service I have received from your office. I had an appointment on 7/27 at 11am and still had to wait over 3 hours to be seen while watching other people be taken in at their scheduled appointment times. I showed up at 10:45 to make sure I filled out any necessary paperwork that would be required. I was appalled by the rude demeanor me and my daughter had to endure. The lack of respect in that office is beyond concerning. My daughter is 6 and was told she could not eat before her appointment so she was unfortunately starving by the time they finally took us in. The appointment lasted only 30 minutes only to realize she could have eaten this entire time but had to wait another 2 hours to eat. So you are telling me my 6 year old went starving for over 5 hours just because your staff incorrectly provided us with information. I waited until 11:30 to initially say something only to be told she would be next however I constantly saw other families be taken in before us. Finally after an hour I became concerned as it seemed excessive only to be mistreated by your staff members. It became apparent that the families being taken in before me were related to the office manager Christina, this is incredibly disturbing that favoritism is apparent. I felt like our appointment was extremely rushed especially after getting home to find out that her cap had come off, how is that even possible. My daughter did not eat until 6pm keep in mind my appointment was at 11 am had she been seen on time she probably could have ate by 3pm. Not to mention she fasted before because I was told that needed to be done. The lack of professionalism and the fact that your staff things it is ok to be rude to me in front of my daughter or at all for that matter is astounding. Then to have to go back and possibly endure the disrespect all over again because her cap fell off is unacceptable. I am writing to you in hopes to be contacted because someone needs to take the responsibility and acknowledge the lack of respect that the office currently holds. The fact that they did not even attempt to apologize and had no lack of remorse is an issue. If I do not get a response I will be reporting the business to the BBB for the lack of moral, unprofessionalism, mistreatment, and favoritism. I brought my wife to get her wisdom teeth extracted, when they brought my wife out she started crying she was so upset the dental assistants (two men) were asking her what her favorite beer is and asking if she does cocaine. They were using profanity and behaving in a very unprofessional way! One of the dental assistants wheeled my wife out in a wheel chair and he was wearing a baggy Simpsons t shirt. Doctor Patel is efficient and talented as a dentist. Had 3 cavities and a root canal done within a month. She is attentive to patient's needs and requests. I've had plenty of dentist since a kid and initially I was apprehensive with WD but Dr. Patel did a great job and made me feel confident in her work. You may have to wait some extended time because she does work on a few patients at a time, but trust me it worth the wait as my experience with other dentist would reveal. read more

This place is pretty decent. The wait didn't take too long, but I think the reason why is because my appointment was in the morning. After getting a consultation I feel like the dentist found things that she recommended to do in order for the company to make more money. Honestly, I totally understand that side of the spectrum, but I most likely won't be doing all the things the dentist recommended. Side note: Adrian, the dentist, is a cool guy! We had good conversations about food, go pro, and photography. I recommend you to ask for him when you go in for a cleaning.
