So many bad things with this place For starters they scheduled my appointment at 8 and didn't even open until 8:30 then I wasn't seen until 9:30 Second I was asking questions towards the end about the payment plan and the numbers didn't seem to add up but the older receptionist was rushing me out the door so I left. When my husband looked at the numbers he was confused too so we went back into the office and the lady told my husband she wasn't going to help us because she spent an hour with me in the morning so she said to come back the next day. I went inside the office to see why they won't explain to him as he stayed in the car to watch our son She then rudely told me "no im not going to help you I spent a whole lot of time with you in the morning already I know there is a mistake but you're going to have to wait and come back tomorrow and no IM off tomorrow so until Thursday" I told her so you are aware you made a mistake and won't help me figure it out? She kept repeating no she's too busy so I have to wait. I told her "im not going to wait because you guys made a mistake and you know it and this is my money we are talking about I don't mean to be rude but if this was the other way around you would want an explanation about your money won't you?" and not only that but the fact that she told my husband they would call me tomorrow and in the end she lied because she said she didn't work tomorrow? So what customer service is this?? She said she spent an hour with me at the end so I told her what was the point if you didn't do your job right and didn't get this done right? That hour was your fault and your loss because if she would have done her job right she wouldn't have dealt with a customer asking information about her bill. I don't care if you like me or not but if you can't separate your personal opinions from your job then you need to go work somewhere else. Customer service is very important I know because I have worked in it for 8 years now. You can't kick someone out because you "don't have time" you make time and if you are those people that just want to clock out when the time is up then fuck the paperwork and clock out but priority is the customers concern especially about money. Nobody is going to come back if you don't prioritize answering the patients concerns especially about their money. Now if I waited patiently and changed my whole schedule to be there from 8 am to 11 then why can't she address the error she admitted to making? I have proof I was there that long so if my time was also waisted why did she have to be so rude? She was an older lady wearing black with a faded yellow blonde hair dye Be respectful especially when you made the mistake. Neither my time or your time would have been spent rudely if you didn't make a mistake and I know mistakes can happen so just own up to them and fix them don't be an asshole and expect people not to defend themselves. Liars looking for money instead of caring about the patient. I went on December 11th with pain in one tooth and my gum was swelling, and they told me I had Periodontitis and that if I didn't get treatment right away, the infection would spread to my bones and per consequent my teeth would fall out. They offered me treatment, but I didn't have the money, so they helped me to apply for a CareCredit card right there on the spot. Christmas came and I have to go to a different dentist. I did a Tomography, and I have my images with me. I have the proof in my hands because I have the images and the dentist's note declaring I do not have Periodontitis like the dentist @Western Dental told me I had. I went back to talk to them and cancel the service that I haven't even received and they said they Cannot cancel it. Today February 5th. I am walking out of that place with the treatment they' are making me pay for a treatment that I don't even need. PLEASE, if you go to them, don't believe them right away and have a second opinion. Be careful with your decisions because they just want your money instead of a happy and loyal client that they just lost with me. read more

I waited three hours for a schedule appointment and was eventually told there was no time left to see me. So I lost half a day's pay, wasted a bus ride, and still never got treatment. Here's what happened: 1. My appoint was booked for 12:45pm through Western Dental's corporate call center. They told me to arrive 20 minutes early, but this office is closed from noon to 1pm. So I didn't begin paperwork until around 1:30pm. 2. When I checked in, the office entered the wrong insurance member ID number, which led them to believe I wasn't assigned to their location. I had given them the correct information, so I ended up calling my insurance company myself and had them fax my info directly to the office. 3. Only the office manager was able to operate the fax machine and they weren't in the office. The receptionist didn't know when they would be back. Once they got back in, they misread the fax, again believing I wasn't assigned to this location, and used a tone and expression that didn't match the situation, as though the issue was a misunderstanding on my part. They offered to reschedule me but the next appointment wasn't until next month. I took it initially, but at that point, I realized if I was going to wait until next month, it made more sense to just switch my insurance assignment to a different dental office altogether. When I told the office manager to cancel this appointment, she simply smiled and said "okay". There was no acknowledgment of the three-hour delay, no attempt to retain me as a patient, and no reassurance that this was unusual or would be handled differently in the future. The staff didn't seem overwhelmed. They were calm or even on their phones while I waited. Maybe they're just undertrained. The wrong insurance ID, the misread fax, and the lack of communication throughout this fiasco make it seem like they just never learned basic procedures. The experience came across as indifferent, unprofessional, and avoidable. I'll be switching to a different dental office next month and hope this review might let others know what they might experience here. read more

I DON'T recommend this place. This place is HORRIBLE. I'm a new patient and I made an appointment at 1pm. They took me in at 1:45pm the dental assistant did my X-ray and he said to wait for the dentist to tell me about the X-ray result. It took 20 minutes for her to arrive. She told me about the result and left without saying what's next. So had to wait AGAIN. I noticed someone came in and got assisted right away the same dental assistant and the dentist help the other patient right away while I was waiting even though I got there first. There was no privacy you can see the other patient on your other side. When it hit 2:30pm I decided to left. I went to the front desk to cancel my appointment. Didn't make a scene. I calmly told them to cancel my appointment cause it's taking FOREVER. She said do you want to wait for another dentist? I told her no I waited for too long already. She then asked me if do I want to make another appointment I said no I'll find somewhere else. The fact they didn't even say sorry about what happened is crazy. That's when you know the customer service is BAD! There's no point for making an appointment. They take FOREVER. Appointments are nonsense to them. They didn't even tell me why it took them so long. Waste of time! This place is dirty, so outdated and small. The thing they put on your mouth for X-ray is dirty you can see the stain. Read the 1 star reviews they're all true! read more

After looking at my xray, the dentist here at Western Dental asked me if my wisdom teeth were bothering me. I had my wisdom teeth removed over a decade ago... They then claimed I had cavities (which I don't...) and gingivitis and would need a deep clean... which I didn't. All this took me 3hr. I was then taken to a back room where an "office manager" (who was just meticulously sanitizing dozens of pens? Really weird) tried to upsell me on everything from braces and custom mouth dams. They were going to try to sell me $600 worth of stuff. I left very angry and mistrusting of dentists in general. The ADA needs to look into this place. AND they never take down their Halloween decorations... I went in February and they were still up. Should have known right then when I saw this to high tail it outta there. read more

I previously had gone to this location for an emergency that my son was having. Well, I went today to have his procedure done. While I was in the waiting room I overheard a conversation about one of the dentists there and how he had taken out another patient's wisdom tooth the day prior and how he was being arrogant and he had hurt the patient as well. He had not told the patient that there were medicines they needed to go pick up. That made me nervous. When I went to voice my worries to the staff in the front I was told oh he's not here today, He works only in ortho. But when I asked to be in the room while my son was getting his procedure done I was told no. Mind you my son is a minor. I was told no and that I could sit outside watching. The office manager Patty was very rude. She even said oh my god to me in frustration for making the simple request. After I made my concern known I was told that my son could not get the procedure done due to the tooth being too close to the nerve. I had to wait 1 whole month to get the approval from medical to be just told that I had to go somewhere else. They referred me to the Loma Linda hospital and turns out Loma Linda is full and is not taking new patients. I went back to ask for maybe another location and once again Patty was very rude and unprofessional. The only person I felt was willing to understand my worries and calm my fears or even understand where I was coming from as a mother and her name is Jessica. She's a dental assistant. read more

He Extracted 4 teeth today in less than 20 minutes with NO pain, I was surprised that it wasn't excruciating like my brain prepared me for. I thought it was going to be a murder scene with a violent end but he took his time being gentle. The after care that Dr Patrova gave me sent me home with a warm feeling. A simple cleaning left a huge bruise on the left side of my face on my jaw. Due to the doctor giving me too many injections . After my procedure I could feel my cheek swelling. And when I asked the medical assistant (in English) if I could show the doctor or speak to the doctor , she left the exam room. Following that . The rude office manager came into the room and hurried me out the door. This was exceptionally unprofessional. Next day I called and expressed my concern about the growing bruise on my face. Reception told me to come back in to see the doctor. Next day I did just that. As the bruise was showing even more, there seemed to be a lack of understanding or even concern on the part of the medical assistant that brought me into the exam room. When I showed her my bruise she seemed as if she did not know what to do, as if she didn't understand why I was there . I told her that the receptionist suggested that I come back in. Then she went to get the doctor who worked on my cleaning. She came in and again I got an almost non-understanding if what I was trying to tell her, even showing her the bruise. Her only response was that she'd never seen that happen before . I don't even recall if she gave me any medical advice as to how this could be handled . I think she did tell me to put ice on my bruise. In addition; there was a rude, pushy Latina woman with a trashy demeanor that came into the exam room, trying to sell me a procedure to whiten my teeth, which would have cost me several hundred dollars. This was a separate business aside from the actual dental business. Since going there, I've been told by more than one person that western dental is the worst place to go for dental work. I'll never go back there again. And by the way, I have been to professional kind dentists in the past. So I do know what I'm writing about. read more

I just went to the office on 12th St to have my cleaning and a filling. The doctor was very nice and caring. She did a great job on my teeth. I was nervous since I'd never been there but she put me at ease. She made sure I was doing OK during the procedure and said if I needed a break to let her know. DO NOT COME HERE. They declined my request to just have a regular cleaning during my appointment since I needed a deep clean, but I was unable to provide payment for the additional service at the time (an extra $150 deductible that was randomly sprung on me... As a college student, I need to prepare in advance for dishing out that amount!). Instead of doing a regular cleaning as planned and rescheduling me for the deep clean at a later date, they refused me any service altogether. They claimed it was "illegal" for them to do so. How is it better to provide NO cleaning at all and let more buildup occur than simply scraping a little plaque off in the meantime, while I reschedule my appointment? Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting treatment, it made zero sense to me. This office does not care about actually providing real dental care but instead is focused on squeezing the most money out of patients that they can. I came in for a regular cleaning appointment, was offered Invisalign (I've already had braces) AND a plaque tray during the hour that I was there-- and didn't even receive my scheduled service! I felt like I was on a website with multiple ads screaming at me to buy something. Just service patients and let them leave! I have never received such terrible treatment from any institution before, let alone a HEALTH CARE facility. The receptionist messed up my appointment time prior to this as well, and when I called to confirm the second time, no one even answered the phone. I had to have a deep cleaning done Amber was the one to do it, she was excellent I'm a hard person to get numbed up, but she was able to make it work I didn't have any pain. She explained everything that she was doing before she did it so it was a nice experience because normally for me it's not. She works at the one that's on 12th Street Western Dental. So far everything that I've had to have done there they have some good people working there so if you're a little sketchy with dentist then they take most everything that I know of as far as insurance there might be a couple that don't but it was a very good experience recommend it to anybody who's in need of a dentist. read more

Worse dental office I've ever been to. First of all the place is filthy and super run down. The staff always looks miserable and they are always short handed. They only have 1 dentist. She has worst "bedside" manner ever. I went for a toothache and they sent me to a specialist to get a root canal because it was a far back molar. Had to find my own specialist too. Then I got a root canal and went back and dentist still couldn't do crown right. So I went back for an adjustment and she was like, " that's as good as it's going to get. If it still hurts then that's the root canal people not us". State dental board needs to go see what a dump this office is. This place needs to be shut down. read more

After being charged & paid, I have not received my single tooth Bridge! It has been 6 months and many excuses such as: Lab made a mistake and does not fit after 10 visits. Western Dental has not done the teeth cleaning or polishing. The Dentist stabbed me in the mouth with the instrument and has not healed after 6 months! New patient at Western Dental Riverside, Ca 12th St location. Friendly front desk staff. Could polish up on their mix ups with scheduling. Xray tech friendly and informative with my questions. Dr. Was also very friendly. Today, had my 1st 1/2 of deep cleaning. Roshanda was friendly, engaging, informative and did a great job with numbing injections and deep cleaning. Zero discomfort. My only gripe would be staff coming into room letting my tech know that another patient had arrived and was waiting and asking if she was almost done with me. Although my tech didn't rush, it still felt that she may have to. Scheduling correctly should prolly solve this. Overall, very good experience. read more
