We have made a tradition to always stop at this place when we go to Arnold. He always share samples and my girls love it. The flavor and quality is amazing. If you are on highway four don't hesitate to stop. I really recommend this place. He not only has a great personality, but he has a good variety of jerky. Our favorite is traditional buffalo, although my girls like teriyaki. I find all of them full of flavor. The shack is a total focal point, you won't miss. It is very cute. The owner 's personality adds a great experience to your stop.

Good doesn't do this Jerky any justice! Its the bomb

If you heading on route 4 east bound Definitely try and stop by this stand it is something you don't want to miss. I have to go back and restock from 2 days ago from all the goodies he had! He had all types of jerky and they all were good I am regretting the fact I didn't grab some more but hey gives me a reason to go back this way. Definitely took the three to 4 bags and couldn't decide i grabbed the habernaro and pork cause I like heat and sweet. I love how they are sealed and packaged, gives it fresh and moist jerky The guy behind this is a guy name Mike super chill and awesome dude and has a cute pup by his side BESIDESSS THE JERKY THERE WAS THIS TOFFE OMG THEY WERE over the top yummy!!!!

    it's REALLY REALLY good :)

My girlfriends and I saw the Jerky4U stand on the way to Yosemite for our annual girls weekend & on our way back we decided to stop. Little did we know that stop would make our whole day :) Michael & his dog, Jack, make a great team! He was nothing but kind & offered us to try different jerky flavors. We had great conversation & you could feel Michael's passion for his quality products. I bought the cactus jacks sweet & spicy beef jerky & the western sky's red pepper Buffalo jerky. These jerky's are so flavorful & best of all- I can order more online, as many as my heart desires! These jerky's are preservative free & fairly priced. It really is REALLY REALLY good :) - highly recommend making it out to this cute stand, and if you can't visit the location you can order at https://jerky4u.com . #SupportLocalBusinesses

On my way to Angels Camp I ran into this adorable location selling Jerky. We had the best experience with Michael. He shared different samples with my husband and I, and I loved them all lol!! It was definitely had to choose. We left with Venison and Black Pepped beef today. I just found my favorite jerky spot and I will be making regular trips back. If you're in the are, o highly suggest stopping here for some amazing jerky.

Great place for jerky! The jalapeño buffalo and red pepper jerky are supreme! Great flavor especially if you like something a little spicy. We also got the sweet and spicy and peppered that are awesome! The guy manning this spot has a great personality and sense of humor which will have me coming back, even though I live far. Good news, he ships these products! Great service will always keep me coming back. Thank you for your kindness.

    Jack the wonder dog!

Mike is a hoot! Jack the dog is a sweet girl who will steal your heart. We tried the Elk jerky which was great and took home some honey and buffalo jerky as well. I would recommend stopping by this gem of a stand. Have a chat with Mike and tell Jack she's a good girl, you won't regret it!

This little shack o jerky is a great stop for fans of dried, exotic meat. Little samples led us to bring home a buffalo jerky with a rich, smokey flavor, from Montana ($12 - 3 oz.). Also delicious was the kangaroo, which we did not end up purchasing, but learned about the high protein value. An habanero buffalo was our second pick ($8 - 1.75 oz.) and was just the right amount of spicy. If you happen to be driving through Stockton and see this cart, you should definitely stop and find a unique snack to take home!

Nice spot i found while riding, wild game jerky and free samples!

Interesting stand I came across riding through the farm land backroads close to my house. Jerky from every land and air animal you can think of! as well as some reptiles and bird you didn't think you could eat! Flavorful, tasty, free samples, friendly service and prices. A must try if your in the area and need a protien snack.

Mike is the man! Me and my bf pulled up I stayed in the car and he gave us a couple of samples before purchasing which was really nice of him. It was so good I decided to get out and actually check it out. We bought a few and it is really good quality jerky. Great service, great jerky! Stop by when you pass through

Meet Michael. Great guy selling GREAT jerky. Make this quick pit stop whenever you're in Stockton. Talk to the jerkaholic himself AND you'll get the chance to try some unique jerky.

    The jerks

This is the best hidden jerky site ever! The owner is such a cool and nice guy, and he has some of the best and most exotic jerkies I've seen. The bison usually sells out first, so get there early. It's worth it. The deer and elk are fantastic, and if you are looking for just plain old cow or turkey, he's got that too. My favorite is the duck and the wild boar. Love the gator and kangaroo as well.

Very nice worker and really good jerky highly recommend my personal favorite was the wild boar but the teriyaki Buffalo or the alligator are a close second.

The jalapeño cheddar sausage was made in house and amazing, we loved the bite of the casing. We also ordered a banana cream pie cup and the vanilla wafers were really soggy, but the pudding consistency was great. However, I had the opportunity trying out one of the more well-known butcher shops to serve San Joaquin County. This is none other than "Fagundes Meats & Catering" which has been a staple in Manteca for decades. Their actual brick-and-mortar location is off of N. Main St/E. Louise Ave in the heart of Manteca while their food truck ventures out to various locations for a variety of community events. In this case, I saw them serving hungry patrons at the Manteca Watermelon Street Fair that took place during the weekend of 6/6/26-6/7/26. To those that know this business already is that they are famous for their tri-tip. In addition to that, they also have other amazing protein options including rib-eye, brisket, pulled pork, Italian sausage, linguica, chicken, and the order I went with, their pork belly. I ended up going with their "Pork Belly Kabobs" and went for the combo deal which included a side (I went with their macaroni salad) and a drink (I opted for a Diet Pepsi). Total price for everything was $17 (which included tax + tip); not bad especially at a public outdoor event. I will say that the pork belly was quite delicious; a little bit on the salty side but nonetheless still a fairly decent portion in each and every bite. I paired it up with their homemade BBQ sauce which had a sweet yet tangy flavor. The macaroni salad was just average for me as it had too much of a vinegar taste while lacking a whole lot of flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this meal as it held me through the majority of the afternoon. I am definitely curious to try their other meats if I end up visiting their actual butcher shop. Overall, the service was excellent considering I was at a busy outdoor event. The line moved quickly while the prices were quite reasonable, even these days where meat prices have become quite outrageous. With that said and done, I am giving the mobile food truck portion of "Fagundes Meats & Catering" an above average four stars. Hopefully I can make a future visit to their butcher shop in the coming months so stay tuned!

I'll be back around to try more menu items but for now, I'd say around a 3.5.

When you cook them it's amazing how lean they seem to be. There isn't any extra fat in the pan that usually comes from other sausages you cook from grocery stores. The taste even shows the quality of meat. I read in other reviews that people were treated poorly while here. That wasn't the case for me. The person who helped me was extremely pleasant and didn't get upset that I kept adding more and more items to what I wanted to buy. Something new I found out today is that they also make salami and even slice it for you for sandwiches. I purchased the garlic salami today and it is amazing. Sometimes a line can form outside so it's best to go early in the day as only 6 people are allowed in the store at a time. It's a very small area inside so it's understandable. The atmosphere reminds me of something from way back in the old school days. Well I supposed that's because of the building being so old anyways. The entire situation is an experience that's pretty cool. If you haven't been to Lockeford Sausages you really should take a trip out and get something.
