Great Ace hardware store. Pretty much everything you would need. Friendly staff too!

Last year we bought 11 sets of "Celebrations" brand Christmas strings @19.99 each. Loved the colors, but this year when we plugged them in NOT ONE SET worked. We changed the fuses on 5 of the 11 sets, and still nothing worked. We took a set back to the store to show them and they said they wouldn't do anything because we bought the set last year. They were only used for 45 days over the Christmas season and now they don't work. We are out over $200 and have to buy new lights this year. We've had our other, less expense lights for many years and they work fine every year. Stay away from this brand of lights and don't expect good customer service from this store. read more

My new neighborhood hardware store. I live in The Nab area of Westford and I try to stay away from the route 110 congestion on weekends. I used to go to Hone Depot it Lowe's in Nashua for everything, but this Ace is much closer. If I'm going for big ticket items I still oh go Nashua, but for all the small stuff this Ace is my place! The help are all friendly and helpful. They're always willing to answer questions and help find items. The store is big and well lit and always well-stocked. I've met the owner and she's the bird person. There are cockatiels and parakeets in cages all around the store. read more

Always excellent service when I go into the Ace on RT 40. Everyone drops what they are doing to be helpful, explain options and help you with a few different ways to complete your process. My company rents A/V equipment, so I am always Jerry-rigging stuff, and these guys are always patient and ask a lot of questions. I have never had anything but an excellent experiencewith them. read more

The personnel at Ace Hardware are always extremely helpful, and they have a pretty amazing inventory. They will go the extra mile to help you find a difficult part for a lawnmower, coach you through lawn maintenance, painting, fixing an appliance or toilet--whatever. Once, I needed to duplicate a smart key. They didn't have the right equipment for the job, but were very helpful in pointing me to a place that did. I can't say enough good things about this store and the people who work there. It is in my neighborhood and saves me a lot of time, gas, and hassle. read more

Knowledgeable people with quality stuff to fix or update just about anything you'll need for house or yard... and and closest big box store another 1/2 hour away... what's not to like... :) read more

Great variety. I can almost always find what I need here. My only complaint is that the employees are a little too friendly. I prefer to ask for help if I need it, rather than have to say "I'm all set" half a dozen times every time I'm there. read more

Update: Downgraded rating to 1 star. Had the crappiest service today. Young staff was rude and expected me to follow him like a puppy with no verbal command or hand signal. Made me walk the store back-n-forth for nothing. Didn't hear one word that I said and thought that he knew better, wasting both of our time. Worst customer service at any hardware store yet. Original: I want to like them. I want to support local B&M stores. But their selection is typically less than the 2 big boxes with higher prices too. This place's service is hit-or-miss. I've been a customer of theirs a few times over the years. I don't mind dealing with the rude guy there, because they usually have what I am looking for. But yesterday(4/21/2018), they brought their arrogance to a whole new level. I won't be back. read more

I agree with the other reviews. The staff at this store are just the best. Exceptional service. So knowledgeable. Always friendly and willing to help. Ben, Dale, and Dave are the best!! We make it a point to always come here before even considering a trip to the big box stores. read more

I don't know what this reviewer is talking about, unless they staff has majorly changed. I always get fantastic service--yes, of course, there is less selection than the giant Lowe's/Home Depot in Nashua. That is probably due to the fact that Ace simply has less surface area. But I can't recommend them enough for quick purchases. read more

The capable guys at Ace helped me repair my 20 year old Webber grill - as opposed to spending $500 on a new grill. Turns out the regulator actually failed. It's a $25 part, and I walked in expecting the worst. I am happy to recommend this Ace location - what a great team they have. The staff went above and beyond to help me. best service I have ever had at any hardware store in my life. Most the staff is young but are so knowledgable about their selection its like they have been working in the store there whole life. Everyone has common sense, thats hard to come by these days. read more

These guys are the best. In a era when mega stores are replacing the local shops, these guys are surviving by carrying pretty much everything I would shop at the big stores for. But the biggest plus is there are always people there that can help me. The prices are competitive. They may be a bit higher, but a few cents more far outweighs the shortcomings of shopping at the mega stores. read more
