New plumbing, drains and underground wiring. They employ an impressive group of sub-contractors with specialized artisans to bring the project together. Notably, Pitbull. Besides the pool, outdoor kitchen, jacuzzi and patio we used them for a new driveway as well. Construction is always a big inconvenience but the end result was stupendous. When we decided we were ready to re-do our backyard, we contacted several pool contractors for proposals. We were immediately impressed with Will because he 1) listened to what we envisioned, 2) gave his opinion and advice based on his expertise, and 3) created renderings of our yard and revised them until we were happy. The project went as smoothly as one can expect - there will always be hiccups during the course of a construction project, but Will worked with us to find solutions when issues arose and work within our budget. He was very responsive from the beginning and through out the project. He helped with coming up with a great design taking our input and converting that into 3D visuals. The project was done on time. The whole project was done in 2.5 months. We had a strong deadline and they met it. There were times when we would have 6-8 workers on the site even on Saturday and Sunday to finish the project on time. They were very thorough with contract, flexible with payments depending on progress, helped in choosing right materials, providing appropriate documentation to get HOA approval etc. They are also responsive to some of our queries even after the project is completed and final payment is done. Westmod is the absolute best! I met with I think six designers and builders before selecting them in 2023 and it was the very best decision. My new backyard is a dream come true. The old backyard was ripped out entirely and now I basically live in a resort and it was an almost painless process. My priority was to make as few decisions as possible, to be needed for input as little as possible, to oversee nothing. The attention to detail paid by Westmod was extraordinary and I had to pay attention to almost nothing. Any time I was asked to make a decision I'd get an email from a very nice person clearly laying out all my choices. Or someone would come to my house and present me samples and I could pick on the spot. Or any samples I wanted mailed to me would simply appear. It was amazing. Nate was my designer and Eric was my project manager and they were both with me every step of the way providing top level service and communication. Always kind and smart and funny and responsive and totally delightful to work with. I got a pool/hot tub/baja shelf, outdoor shower, patio cover over tiled floor, walkways of concrete and pebble elements, a sauna, bbq, a lower terrace with retaining walls, and multiple planting areas. Everything looks highest quality super top craftsmanship AMAZING. It definitely falls into the "you get what you pay for" category. For our new home in Porter Ranch we had high expectations for the back, side and front yard design and construction. We selected WestMod after speaking with a number of other companies to deliver on these expectations. The design process started with WestMod paying close attention to our ideas and concepts. Finally, after a few iterations we were pleased with the final design and I conveyed that if the actual work came close to the design we saw in pictures and videos we would be quite happy. After a few weeks of permitting process we eventually broke ground. Pool, spa and associated plumbing is quite a complex undertaking as we learned by closely watching every step of the work. Blueprints, materials and other design choices, inspections, craftsmanship, procurement and delivery, timeliness and quality control...the process is quite detailed and demanding. After several months the project started to take shape and like a Polaroid image the back, side and front yards came alive with wonderful water features, pool, spa, fire pit, TV walls, Bar counter, floating benches, planters and landscaping. It's unbelievable that this company gets such high reviews. The level of unprofessionalism that I encountered is beyond baffling. I contacted Westmod based on its excellent Yelp reviews and set up an appointment with William. On the day of the appointment, he never showed up. I texted him and he replied that something else came up and it slipped his mind to text me. I figured everyone makes mistakes and should be given a second chance, so I rescheduled with him for another appointment at a later date. He showed up on the second appointment and we went over all the things that I was looking to do: pool remodel, new concrete, new pavers for driveway, a block wall, and landscaping work. I had prepared a sizeable budget for the entire project. He indicated that everything on my list is within the scope of his company's work. He promised to get the estimate to me in a day or two. I hadn't heard from him for almost two weeks despite several texts and phone calls to his cell phone. Finally, I decided to call the office to find out what's going on with him, maybe there were extenuating circumstances for his delay in getting back to me. A couple of hours later, I got a text message from him saying that the project "isn't something we would perform." I tried to find out what is the reason and have yet to hear back from him. All in all, I wasted over a month trying to work with this company. It's mind boggling to see all these glowing reviews in direct contrast to my disappointing personal experience. As I am wrapping up writing this review, I just got a call from Nick, the owner of the company. He apologized for my awful experience but could not explain any of William's behavior. I am truly thankful for these guys! They played a huge part in building our dream home for us. Their work sparks joy for our family on a daily basis. And we've been able to spend several days and evenings (and so many more to come) hosting family and friends enjoying good times! We bought a toll brothers new construction in porter ranch in the westcliffe community. We love the house, but they literally deliver it you on dirt - the entire front and back yards are literally just dirt. We've never built a pool/yard from scratch, so it was definitely a learning process. There are a handful of contractors that build the majority of yards in our neighborhood and we spoke to a few of them. We met with Nick and knew early on that he was our guy. He understood the look and feel we were going for, he was patient and understanding, was organized and thorough, and he wasn't pushy at all. The product - we loved the 3d design, but the finished product exceeded our expectations! They were able to bring it to life like no other. The attention to detail is really something else. And unlike some of the other providers out there, Westmod does not cut any corners - every aspect is high-end including all the materials and the building techniques/processes. The experience - was truly high-touch white glove service from start to finish. Honestly, my biggest hesitation when I went with them was that I might get overlooked as our project was likely an average sized one for them at best. They work some projects with endless budgets and ours was not one of those. However, I felt like our project was getting tons of love and the VIP treatment, which says a lot about how they treat all their customers. Their team was understanding and responsive while we had endless questions and some decisions to make along the way. Execution and logistics - we know that in general there are 2 things you can expect with any construction/remodel project: overbudget and extended timelines. It's awesome to say that ours was done on budget and within the timeline given at the start! I was in constant communication with the team and they're really good about giving you a heads up on things. The total price did end up going up slightly, but that was only because I added a few things and upgraded some of the materials, otherwise the price didn't change at all from the contract. Previously I have used several different companies with my pool work and equipment upgrades, but this time around I decided to give Pool Logic a try, from seeing all the positive reviews and all the pics of great work that they have done. I needed to remodel my entire pool with new pebbles and to replace the tiles throughout my pool and spa.  When I reached out to the company, I was able to talk to the owner, Nick.  He was very friendly and professional, and he showed great expertise and knowledge in this business.  He was very detailed in explaining me step by step with the process of what I would be expecting.  He provided me a quote showing a very clear breakdown in pricing structure.  After that, I contacted three other companies for quotes, and none of them came close to what Pool Logic provided me in what I considered a very fair and reasonable price.  So I decided to go with them.
