I bought my car here and do my regular maintenance here. The prices just ridiculously went up double for no apparent reason, with just months apart. They offer shuttle but upon their availability. Meaning, they cannot give that service to you if you more than a specific miles. Or even if you are 5mins away from the shop, you'll have to wait from 15-1hour. It's nuts!! When you go tell them your concerns, they make it sound like you're just being difficult and make you look stupid. I'm going to find somewhere they value their loyal customers rather than just not being treated right after they take your money. read more

I was very apprehensive when I saw the reviews here and it took me a few weeks to bring my Kia Sorento here... BUT, I absolutely had a very pleasant experience. Darin was my service advisor. He kept us up to date every few days. He communicated very clearly to us what was wrong, what was to be expected, and when the car would be ready. To add, my car was actually finished sooner than anticipated!!!! It was a complete engine replacement and we were warned it could take months. Absolutely horrific customer service from this dealership. Brought my car in for one thing and left with many extra issues without the original issue under warranty not fixed and turning around a couple months later needing an entire new engine. After replacing the engine was told needed new starter and O2 sensors and it would be 1400. These people are con-artists and they will scam you into buying a car with a warranty but break parts while your car is in the repair shop to turn around and make money on you. Please truly consider buying a Kia especially here. They do not have rentals and will not reimburse you when you have to pay for one while your vehicle is in their shop fixing anything under the warranty. They didn't put my shroud back on correctly that flew off on the highway almost killing someone. Parts were not seated correctly on the engine after first pick up with them. The second time in the shop I had to tow it out to get the starter changed and changed that and surprise more transmission issues after the car started. It was not drived after transmission was changed either. The gm is the owners daughter so she doesn't care about helping anyone it's one big scam there, I am now left with a vehicle that doesn't run properly and not safe to drive. The service manager is nice but the Kia customer care protocol is horrible. It's like they detest their customers. Scheduling is cumbersome and difficult. And the icing on the cake is Kia's 100k warranty is really only active if they feel like it. At 80k mi my car is burning oil, but it's "only" 1 quart ever 1K mi, so Kia thinks that's a-ok. Richard, service manager at Westside Kia is completely unprofessional, and inappropriate. Service Tech team misdiagnosed my vehicle stating there was coolant/water in my engine and would not perform warranty work. I immediately (5 days later) took to another Kia dealership (Archer Kia), and the service techs did not find any such issue as coolant/water in engine. I have been dealing with "Engine failure" for over 7 years and not a single of the 4 Kia dealerships performed warranty on my engine. I brought this up to service manager Richard about his dealership misdiagnosing my vehicle denying me of engine warranty. His response was I needed to pay again for diagnosis. Mind you I had already paid for diagnosis which was misdiagnosed by Westside Kia. He made some ridiculous analogies, and basically accused me of wanting something for "Free". I was not expecting "free" services, I was expecting a courtesy check, or courtesy diagnosis being that I received a misdiagnosis from his service tech team prior. We went back and forth on why I should have to pay out of pocket that resulted in him literally kicking me out his office. Very unprofessional, and inappropriate. To top everything off I said my peace (goodbyes), and said I would discuss with Kia Corporate and extended my hand to shake his, he then rudely, and unprofessionaly told me he was not shaking my hand. Not only was I left in shock, but I also felt as of I did something wrong. So much for customer satisfaction or even consumer respect. Stay away from this Kia dealership. Just had one of the worst experiences at Westside Kia. I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks ago to have a recall maintenance performed on my 2014 Cadenza. When I arrived I was informed they would need to order the part which can take another 1 to 2 weeks. I explained to the service representative name Chuck I made the appointment 3 weeks ago so why wasn't the part ordered at that time. Chuck simply said to me "they should've told you that when you made the appointment ". I feel this dealership only accept customers that's paying out of the pocket and not interested at all in helping consumers with their recalls. I am very disheartened by Kia Financial, Kia Classic of Beaumont and Westside Kia and I should have know better than to buy this foreign car. I brought a Kia EV 6 last year around this time. Last weekend, an ICU unit blew the system and shut down the entire electronic system in the car. I was informed by Sabestian that the part is on back order and its undetermined when this part will be available and he suggested I call Kia Corporate to ask about the buy back the car, rent a car because they could NOT provide a loaner. Kia allots $45.50 per day for a small compact car, I have a family of eight, two who are disabled, with two kids. No only do I have to make the monthly note of eleven hundred dollars, I now have to pay an additional $200 a week on the rental to accommodate my family. How is this fair? I have not received one ounce of support from the dealership or Kia. read more

The service department is unavailable. There are never any appointments, unless you are trying to book 4 months in advance. The website for this dealership does not offer any service appointments for the year of 2022. When you eventually get a person on the phone, they come off as less than friendly and irritated that you are trying to schedule maintenance on your car. Took my car in for service and they broke 3 bolts on the turbo, put my transmission back on loose and with lil oil in the transmission and the car has no leaks and never been touch by nobody but westside kia. Should have check my car before leaving the parking lot. Also service department lies about what was done to the car and could not prove or show were the damage was at. Should have been a warranty but had to come out of pocket to get it fix and when ask to show the damage nobody was around to show. Never in my life have i had this kind of bad service. Not even a lil. They took the cake for best of worse place to get it fix. ATTENTION KIA EV OWNERS: When you purchase an electric vehicle, most of us are aware this is new technology and understand that bugs will come up. Sadly, the Kia dealerships here in the Houston area in general, and this one in particular are NOT ready to provide service to their own electric vehicles. Additionally, Kia seems to be completely flat-footed when it comes to mitigating the inevitable inconveniences that owning emerging technology comes with. We recently purchased a pre-owned EV6. The 12V battery died and will not hold a charge. We are now going on day 18 of attempting to get this resolved. While the battery discharges every night, the 'tablet' continues to show that the battery is good. Kia apparently does not take the word of their own certified EV technicians and will only warranty it if the 'tablet' shows it is bad. However, each morning, it is completely dead and therefore cannot be picked up. The hold up seems to be the District Manager who merely has to sign off on approving the replacement despite the recalcitrant 'tablet'. However, for whatever reason the District Manager has elected to avoid answering the phone for the service department, us personally, and even Kia--allowing all calls to go to voicemail that apparently is never checked. Kia, the dealership in general, and the service department in particular could do A LOT more to mitigate the expected inconveniences of their early customers to this new technology starting with better communication. Although we are told we will be called, notified, etc., it never happens and we have call, wade through all the automated 'press x for such and such', sit on hold in order to be given updates. Secondly, we should be provided a loaner vehicle instead of having to rent a vehicle at our expense and then *hopefully* get reimbursed. We are day 18 and have only been promised *potentially* to be reimbursed I *hope* Kia will do the right thing and reimburse for the entire time that we have had to come out of pocket for a rental. I *hope* that the District Manager will do the right thing, trust her technicians over a clearly wrong 'tablet' and just approve the battery replacement already! This seems to be a relatively inexpensive solution so I am having a hard time understanding the foot dragging. It feels very much that Westside Kia resents electric vehicles and only begrudgingly provides service for them and then in such a way as to make this customer feel unwanted and unappreciated. Chuck took great care of my software upgrade needs, even upgrading my software for a separate safety recall I had been unaware of. That, of course, may already be Westside Kia's policy, along with washing the car as the cherry on top, but regardless of who the credit goes to, I had a good experience there. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I was not informed that the shuttle driver, Ken, may be unavailable when he takes his hour-long lunch, which is not at a set time. This almost proved very inconvenient for me, but I'm sure it will with someone else sooner or later. Also, Ken is a nice guy, but I'm curious as to why he's a shuttle driver when he has an admitted poor sense of direction. read more
