The one man team (Len) is less then desireable I went there for the first time, I had 2 documents to print because my printer is on the fritz and I went in, he asks me "What I need?" not "how can I help you?" I told him what I needed he pointed to a computer and said "you can use that computer over there" I go into my email I find my 2 single page documents and I print them out, I shut the email and go to pay, he tells me it will be $2.20 REALLY? for 2 printed copies of a document from an email, so I tell him, "I didn't want to buy the computer I just wanted to rent it" I then said "I won't be back" he said "that is up to you" I said "I know I won't be here again" and I go to leave and say "go F yourself" and then he starts in, He tells me to go do it to myself, he then flips me off all the way out the parking lot. what a real winner, I predict he will be out of business in 6 months. Long time customer at this mail center. All the employees have made me feel welcome. I get greeted by name. I've shipped items here on an almost daily basis and I also have my business and personal mail delivered here. Comparable rates for a P.O. Box without using the post office. Any time I need a package signed for they are always there to sign for me. on the occasion I need a notary there is someone here a few days a week to help me with that as well. Very convenient location and wonderful customer service, highly recommend their services. I know some people complain about the prices in other reviews, but they do need to make money somehow, and since the wait at most post offices, fed-ex, ups locations are long you find convenience of almost no lines or short lines and extra care of boxing items for you worth the extra cost. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. read more

I have used this service twice as they are the shipper for an auction house I buy items from. Their service is average. Both times I've used them, their costs have been outrageous. The last time they shipped a baseball glove. The charge was $20 to send from the west side of Phoenix to the east side. Their "protective packaging included putting the glove in a oversized bubble envelope that you can buy at WalMart for a dollar. I checked on USPS shipping costs and it was less than $5. By marking it up to $19 and change they experienced a 300%+ profit for about five minutes of work. I would never ever use them again. read more

Dishonest, unfriendly, unprofessional, zero integrity, Failing grade for customer service. Quoted one price on the phone, invoiced more then twice that for shipping several lots from an auction house andtold anywhere else would cost me three times that. The kicker? I have items arriving daily from auction houss across the country. The same types of items and weighing as much of not more. I just received three large boxes that each took two people to carry, from Florida! 152 items and my shipping as 630. They are charging me 1330! From AZ to WA state! 6 days after paying and and items are still there unpacked and nowhere near ready to be shipped. At this point we all know they are purposefully dragging their feet. I will be contacting the auction house to let them know I will no longer buy from them. At first I just requested a different service for mailing my items but I found out this goes on frequently after CONTACTING the BBB so if the auction house knows this yet continues using them, I will spend my money somewhere else read more

I originally went in a month ago (April 13) to return a package. A woman helped me, printed a new label to cover the one I had put on and told me USPS was the fastest/cheapest way to go. So it was sent. On April 21 I checked the tracking and found it was being returned. Not knowing if that meant to me or the store, I called the store. I spoke to a woman (different one) who I told me I would get it, that the original woman was new and they wouId "do right" by me when I came back in. I went back in yesterday. A man kept telling me that they always have the customer check the address before mailing. I said I had not. His voice raised telling me this was their procedure and it always happened. When I tried to interject again he said loudly "you can talk when I'm finished". I felt as though I must be in school, so I raised my hand. He kept getting louder about procedure and process. I finally asked if I could talk and again said I had not checked the address the woman had placed on the package before mailing. By this time his voice was quite loud and I admit mine raised also. He did not believe me. I took my package to another store where I paid significantly less to send it by UPS. I am 70 years old and do not need to be treated this way. I have not raised my voice to another human being in many years and do regret doing so. Someone needs to tell this man that not every procedure or process is guaranteed 100%. I did not expect them to compensate me for the problem but I thought an apology was in order. read more

I have been a customer for several years, primarily using a PO box, but have on multiple occasions used them for other services. They may be a little more expensive but are up front with those expenses. The owner and his staff have always treated me with speed and respect. For me this is a game changer, if these two items are missing. Having 24/7 access to my PO box is just icing on the cake. read more

Complete rip off. I won an item on a eBay live auction site and then got a call from Westside saying that the shipping charges would be $56.68 and the packing would be $48, seemed a little high but i agreed to the price. They then sent the invoice by email. An hour later i got a call from them saying that the $56.68 shipping charges were now $128.88. They refused to honor their original written invoice and told me if i didn't pay that new amount that i could go somewhere else. If i didn't live so far away i'd be talking to a lawyer right now. read more

Almost every reviewer mentions how they "won" an auction, only to be presented with an outrageous shipping bill, in one case $50 for a small box of marbles. This gives a good picture of the kind of scam Westside Mail Center runs. read more

If you need to mail something go see the owner of this place. He is usually there and is super helpful. I had used this store many times and he would help me tape boxes up, make sure my items are boxed correctly, jsut overall a helpful guy. He is a business owner that cares about his customers and he is worth the extra TLC that I won't get at my local post office. Give him some business next time you are in the area? New and town and Was really impressed by this place. There's a very nice, (handsome) young guy who works there who is great at this job, but more importantly, in making you feel like your needs have been met in a timely manner. I went here twice, both during the Xmas season and there were only a few people in line the second time I arrived and the three kind folks working behind the counter got everyone in and out with no hassle. I've only had copies made here, so idk about the rest of their services, however I can tell you the copy machine is the worst. It leaves a black line down the left side of the page on every copy. I use these copies for work and need them to look semi professional. I always try to support locally owned small businesses like thisone it's a shame I can't! read more

I like supporting small business and although the lady who helped me there was very nice I won't be using this mail center again. I was so shocked at the inflated price for mailing ground service 3 SMALL light weight boxes. $25 - 30 per box. $11 for a book of stamps. Almost $100 and that's with a 10% discount since she must have felt sorry for me. I know I was visibly upset at the high cost. I'll wait in line at the PO from now on. read more

Do not deal with these clowns. I bought some stuff through an online auction house and they use the westside mail center to pack and ship the items bought. first off, I understand them charging a fee to pick your items up and I understand a fee for packing and of course shipping the item. I bought a lot of about 8 wrist watches and 5 belt buckles. They charged me $48 (the cheapest option). This is obviously a racket, they hold the stuff you buy hostage then charge you insane rates to get them. Furthermore, when I got the package everything was thrown together in a ziplock bag and the 1 ziplock bag was tossed in the middle of a large box (3 times bigger than it needed to be) filled with packing peanuts. I could at least better understand the cost if they would have taken a few minutes and individually wrapped the items and packed it properly so they at least didn't bang together and get all scratched up during shipping. THIS IS A RACKET!!!!!! and I'm pretty sure the good reviews you see on here are paid ones trying to get their ratings back up. read more

I played phone tag with these people for seven days, and when we finally made contact the owner called me a liar!!! He never answers the phone during business hours and from utter frustration I used a different shipper, delaying my delivery again. Steer clear and save yourself the trouble. :-( read more
