Fresh T-Bones and I think I saw Delmonico.Freshly cut filet mignon. Fresh cut up chicken or whole chickens they will cut for you. I heard from a hotelier I know Westside provides some nearby restaurants with their meats. This is unconfirmed so take it for what it is. I've noticed that there aren't a lot of delis in this area, so I had high hopes for Westside. We got a salad and wrap for lunch, and both were underwhelming. The salad was made with iceberg lettuce rather than mixed greens as listed. The veggies seemed fresh but the chicken was pretty tough. My partner was unimpressed with his wrap and said the avocado wasn't fresh. Overall pretty disappointing. read more

I've been here several times and every time it's been delicious. The ordering process is simple-choose your sandwich on a touchscreen and pay. The staff is friendly and while I was waiting for my sandwich, I checked out all the eclectic offerings on the shelves. Everything seems fresh and clean. I ordered the Godfather-thin sliced Italian pork, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers and sharp provolone. What a combination! I also bought a jar of locally made jalapeño bacon jam. An old fashioned deli with a great meat shop in the back. The meat shop has great quality and good prices. I've been coming here off season and what a pleasure. Bell and Evans are the best out there and the carry whole chickens and will cut them in pieces for you. Everything is very fresh. This is the store that supplies most of the meats to local restaurants. The food is really good and they do have a couple tables to eat at. The two time we came in for sandwiches during season, the wait was so long and there wasn't many people in there. Call in your order ahead. read more

I ordered 2 turkey hoagies today and at first, I thought they just got the size wrong (I ordered large and they made small) but there were a total of 6 mistakes in my simple order. I love this place! I have been coming to Cape May my whole life and used to drive by all the time. I recently have been making this my got to lunch spot. Their hoagies and to-go menu are legit. Great to pack up and hit the beach. Their breakfast sandwiches are also really great! They also have a small marketplace and a deli counter to grab meats, cheeses, rolls and such for the weekend! Great place to get your summer parties catered from too. Friendly staff and great general store ambiance complete with an old time tinkling bell that rings when you open the door & brings you back to days gone by. They also have a wholesale store in Rio Grande to stock up your freezer. The prices there cannot be beat. Whenever I visit Cape May, I have to make at least one stop at Westside. It's a great place to go to grab a cold cut sandwich to take with you for a trip to the beach. The sandwiches are delicious with really fresh ingredients and sweet/hot peppers that I crave once I'm home hundreds of miles from Cape May. They also make delicious breakfast sandwiches. This is a really great place to get a fresh, made to order hoagie. The prices are some of the best I have found around Cape May. I had the cheese steak hoagie and it was really good!! Westside Market is without question one of Cape May's best kept secrets. The food is wonderful, the prices fair, and the service quick and friendly. Do yourself a favor and get a cheesesteak (the best "Jersey Cheesesteak" you'll ever eat) or a cheesesteak hoagie (the aforementioned cheesesteak with lettuce and tomato), and a big old barrel pickle (if you ask at the deli counter they'll be more than happy to slice it up for you), and head on over to the little park on Madison Avenue to enjoy the deliciousness.
