With help from the bartender I decided on the surf and turf for my meal. I was told that the steak would take a while because the kitchen was a little backed up. Not a problem. I did wait for a while but it was well worth it. The steak was absolutely beautiful. There was a nice crust under a buttery chive sauce. The lobster tail on top was perfectly cooked and not rubbery at all. It was served with lobster dumplings that were delightful. It was possibly the best steak I've had in Tacoma recently. I'll have to come back to try other delicious looking things on the menu. I ended up talking to a person who sat next to me at the bar for a while and we shared the berry crumble for dessert. It was hot, classic and fresh, served with ice cream. I don't remember exactly what the cost of everything was but it was all totally worth it. The food, the service and the company were all amazing. I loved watching the bartenders make drinks and being able to see the chefs cook is also fun. Their new building is much bigger than the last and it's beautiful. Hubs ordered the Diavola pizza, with crisp pepperoni and pickled serranos. Either the serranos or red pepper sauce gave it quite the kick, not overly, but deliciously. It was perfectly crispy! Their beers are just so, so good and so different compared to when I first had them when I moved here. So if I break out of the rotation it's almost always to come here. My latest beers here was the Choco Bliss which is a Imperial Stout loaded up with chocolate flavor. It's barrel aged and a real boozy one. This was one I haven't had previously so it was a real treat to get one of those! Another really good beer that I haven't had before until my last visit was the Brown's Point CDA which is a dark ale. This had nice bitter and malty flavors to it. You can also get some fantastic pizzas here and we have gotten many over the course of our visits here. Our last item we had to eat here wasn't a pizza but a stuffed Hungarian pepper with rice. It's considered an appetizer but for us...at least for the current situation it was like having a light lunch. When I checked in, I immediately was greeted by Jace who was beyond welcoming in person as he was on the phone. He guided us to our table and made us all feel welcome. We then were presented with our hardworking and endearing Server Kat who was so patient with all of us, was proactive in setting up plates for our Birthday cake (we had brought with us - as we were granted with permission by the restaurant). Throughout our experience, Kat took care of our needs, fulfilled our delicious food orders with accuracy, and the other hardworking Server Ethan also ensured our drinks were filled. The cocktail choices are great, however, they were out of a particular cocktail my friend wanted to order. We started with the meatballs, not good. The sauce however was phenomenal! Meatballs were just very dense and dry. The appetizer came out not even 5 minutes after our order was put in, so they were lukewarm at best. When we ordered our pizza, they were out of the homemade sausage, this was Saturday night at 6pm???, so we ordered the foraged pizza as is. The pizza was delicious. My friends ordered the Marguerita - crust was a bit over done. Food was good- $30 a pizza good, not in my opinion.
