We were happily surprised by this place! It took a little while for our server to come to our table but once he did he apologized very sincerely and then turned out to be one of the best waiters we've had in a while. Personable, easy to talk to, helpful. Took the time to walk me through gluten free options on the menu and although they don't have gluten free bread, they DO have a fabulous gluten free bun. So if you're craving a good burger -- this is your place. I also dipped the burger bun in our whipped ricotta app which was very yum! Looking forward to coming back. read more

The food was mediocre at best. The bolognese was pasty. My wife's pasta came out way over salted. They did fix that but the portion size appeared to be cut in half. 4 little pieces of pork belly for app. The food was way over priced. Westsiders is definitely our new go to spot for a nice night out. Staff was on top of their game, ambience was great including the sound and lighting (a rare treat round these parts). Westsiders is exactly what the Westside needed. It's great food, atmosphere and service. I had the seared tuna app and the cucumber 3 ways and my husband had the coulotte steak. Everything was really good. The tuna had an orange sauce that I would put on everything and the potatoes that came with the perfectly cooked steak were equal parts creamy and crispy. It's the type of menu that is not too big and you want to try everything, so I know we will be back. I kept looking at what people around me were getting and I wanted to try everything I saw, even the house salad looked special. The location is perfect with ample parking. It's a great date night and I would be surprised to see any kids there. They have a brunch on the weekends that I can just tell is going to be great. It's a very pretty restaurant and has the West 25th vibe without being West 25th pretentious, perfect for the Westside! read more

Had the coulotte steak, it was delicious and a very nice portion. My whiskey soda was great, citrus with a perfect subtle whiskey hit to finish. Atmosphere was fun and fresh with good service. Prices are appropriate for the level of quality in the food and drink. Look forward to going again. read more

Had a very good dinning experience the other night, luckily for me I was with friends that like to try everything and share everything. So for the three of us had an equivalent of probably what six people would eat and trying at least six different cocktails. Service at the table was excellent with all needs taken care of. Food presentation on all appetizer and entrees were very artistically presented with lots of bold and tasty colors. Every drink came in its own unique glassware with beautiful garnishes. The food was fresh and delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. The only very minor thing on the food for me was that a few items were slighty under season for my personal taste. I would highly recommend giving Westsiders a try. Sorry no picture, we were all so hungry and the food look so great, we dove we right in without hesitation. read more

Highly recommend and can't wait to go back to try more entrees and drinks. I visited for a Saturday brunch. Parking was easy, and our group was seated quickly. The cocktail menu was full of both classic and unique, craft options. They also had a fantastic bourbon selection with nearly all of the big names. I would come back for the drinks alone. Pretty standard brunch options but everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Special shout out to the fried chickpeas and breakfast potatoes. I could eat my bodyweight in both. read more

Good tunes. Went during happy hour. $3 off a warm draft beer. Ordered the "4 way chicken wings". Got 5 wings for $13. No blue cheese or ranch. Green goddess dressing that was crappy. Wasn't sure if the "4 ways" but my guess is 1) salt the wings 2) salt them some more 3) cover with "Shake and bake" 4) add salt and bake. Also ordered fries. Had to ask for ketchup. They brought me an aluminum cup filled 1/5 with ketchup. Had to order another one. Only thing west side is the address. read more

I wanted to like this restaurant. Pretty cool vibe. But the servers were cold, very nonchalant. And the food was average on average. The two guests who had pasta enjoyed it very much. But pork chop review was meh, salmon review was meh, and my hamburger was somehow tasteless - no seasoning at all. Lower than meh. Cocktails got good reviews and the appetizers were probably the highlight. We had a great time because we were all together, but Westsiders would not be a restaurant I would pick again when there are so many other better choices. read more

Great ambience and we had a wonderful server! It's awesome to go to a place that has an inventive menu, truly crafted mock tails, great service, and cool interior design. I would avoid the fried fish entrée. It was suspect that at the end of our meal, our server asked us about that one particular entrée kind of out of the blue. Like either, they were getting bad reviews about it or it was new or they knew it was dodgy if it would be acceptable. My husband said it was one of the worst things he'd eaten in a restaurant. My wife and I ate at Westsiders for the first time this evening, and we both loved it. The cocktails were sophisticated and the food was out of this world. I had the Mushroom Campanelle (with scratch pasta), my wife the Rainbow Trout. Both were delicious, nicely sized, and beautifully presented. Shout out to our wonderful waitress, Alex, and a special thanks to Sebastian, one of the owners, who came to our table and chatted us up. Roberta and I lived in New Orleans for years, and this restaurant would be completely at home in foodie-obsessed NOLA. Keep it up, Westsiders! We'll be back. read more

Food and cocktails were *excellent.* Decor and lighting are great too; very comfortable. Just 2 suggestions: lose the era-specific music - 80s. Maybe it's the demographic, but a little goes a long way. Quality music (curated playlist) at a low volume would be appropriate. And, if you're billing yourself as an upscale eateries, raise the dress code for servers/staff. T-shirts aren't going to cut it - this brings your whole image down. For quality food and cocktails (at medium to high priced), your staff needs to look the part. You're doing great, just tweak these couple of things! read more

Yes... there are still some new restaurant hiccups that they need to work out.. but overall our food was delicious and the cocktails were simply amazing! We tried 4 different ones and each of them were a 10/10. I've seen lots of reviews complaining about the noise/music level... the complaints are coming from people that don't understand the concept of this restaurant and have been in the suburbs far too long! read more

We really liked the ambiance to start off our evening. I liked their wine list and pleasantly surprised by selection. We had two of their pastas and both were amazing. We also tried the pork collar and that was some of the best pork I have had in a while. Our server was very knowledgeable, welcoming and perfectly attentive. I saw some reviews on the sound and we didn't have that problem but it was earlier but they may have also made some modifications to help with the sound. read more

Our server, Robin, was exceptional. Attentive, without hovering and helpful. I have celiac disease, gluten-free, and he had to ask the chef/kitchen, many questions on my behalf. We started with the beet appetizer. Delicious. Our friends had the chickpeas, which I tried, they were crispy and tasty. My spouse and a friend had the Bolognese, they said it was OK, other friend had the steak kebabs which she gave high marks. I had the rainbow trout, and they subbed out the cauliflower, I don't like cauliflower, with the Cacio de Pepe potatoes. Very good. However, options of modifications, on other entrees were not allowed. We sat in the main dining room. I don't care for the large TVs and music. . Unless it's a big sporting event, I'm not there to watch TV. Same for the music, I'm not there for the music. When You're Here, You're Family After several days without power, I visited Westsiders for a quiet Sunday dinner to regroup for the week ahead. I sat at the bar, where I was immediately greeted and recommended a cocktail to match my mood at the moment (something to both calm me down and fuel my appetite after a stressful day ... a perfectly mixed Negroni). I was informed of a pasta special by the general manager, Jacob, who just happened to be working and seated at the bar next to me, which I ordered, along with an exquisite chilled Portuguese white wine. The pasta dish was unassailable in its execution; scratch-made casarecce in a sauce that struck a beautiful balance of white wine, garlic, and fresh tomatoes (the chef advised me that the dish itself consisted of only 6 ingredients, but they were so expertly combined that his explanation belied its real depth). Moving on, I had my eye on a dessert, but needed a digestif to prepare for my next bite. Enter the general manager, once again, who turned me onto the perfect last drink; a twist on "Eeyore's Requiem," a drink popularized by a well known speakeasy in Chicago, as I later learned, that settled my stomach and got me ready for my next course. Dessert was a simple, rich chocolate cheesecake (the perfect size) with fresh whipped cream and candied lemon peel, served with a cup on restaurant coffee that, frankly, was better than it had any right to be (I later learned the restaurant created it's own proprietary blend with Stauf's in Columbus). To say I was happy with my experience is to grossly undersell what Westsiders has to offer. Since COVID, I feel as though we're all aligned with the fact that the quality of the product itself is, at best, half the battle. The remainder is hospitality, knowledge, respect, and atmosphere, all of which Westsiders has available for its patrons in abundance. I cannot recommend this establishment more, both for the quality of the product it offers and for all the other "intangibles" we're all looking for in a dining experience. read more

I had high hopes for this place because it sat vacant for so long after Bomba closed but I can't say I'll be back. Extremely loud, the server couldn't even hear us order. My cocktail was delicious but that was about the only redeeming quality. My fish was subpar, nothing I couldn't get at any other restaurant. The "cucumbers 3 ways" was not worth one of the ways being a plain raw slice of cucumber. The olives tasted like they ran across the street to Whole Foods and raided the olive bar. read more

Pretentious. The biggest take away was pretentious. The drinks were average at best, the atmosphere was as nice, the staff were friendly, but short. We ordered the Ricotta as an appetizer (it came last and the toast was burnt) which was also average, the pork belly (delicious flavor) was literally 75% fat however, the polenta was really good, the fried chicken bites were also average (had a deep fried fish after taste), the breading that we were informed was gluten free wasn't bad. read more
