Moo Goo Gai Pan is what I ordered? This is what I got. Umm No...Chef needs to learn his food. Where is my white sauce and bok choy?

This is not what I ordered. I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan. It is a dish with white sauce not brown !!! I've ordered it from here in the past and it was always a garlic white sauce. Very disappointed This isn't even good...

not best food in the area, but cheap the apps are ok and its a classic greasy spoon chinese hole in the wall. no decor, ugly and no view but the road. the wonton soup isnt bad, and they have some lunch specials. The staff seems friendly. I recommend bamboo down the street.

    Fried potstickers and Szechuan chicken.

I stopped by after visiting the nursery next door. The service was friendly. They make everything to order, which is awesome. They didn't have stuffed fried wontons-- only the plain wontons. So they suggested the potstickers fried, which was pretty good. But I had my heart set on crispy wontons. I also ordered the Szechuan chicken. The food stayed hot all the way home. It was very good.

They were always cheap but come on now this is sad . All the food we got sucked.

I'm done with westwood jade. I used to enjoy the food and service. Now both suck drivers can never find where you are and act as if its your fault. And the food has gone to shit it was always just ok at best but was a great cheap American Chinese food. I threw out half of what we ordered today 10/24/2020. Don't order from here I won't be again.

Best Chinese food in the area. Everything was fresh and the vegetables in dishes still had a pleasant crunch.

I would have preferred the apps first then dinner after but everything came out at once basically. It's nice and clean inside nothing fancy. We ordered pork strips, peeking ravioli, chicken fingers, orange beef, garlic lo mein, general gaus shrimp. The crab Rangoons were garlicky and delicious as always. The chicken fingers were a bit over cooked too crunchy for my liking. Usually they're light brown and lightly crispy. The pork strips were good. The garlic lo mein is usually spot on and comes with mushrooms, water chestnuts and pea pods. This time it came with green pepper which I don't like, so that was a bit of a disappointment. The green peppers usually come in the veggie lo mein. The orange beef had good flavor but the meat was tough, so that was unfortunate. My parents liked the beef and lo mein. The general gaus shrimp was tasty.

Reasonable prices . The ribs were surprisingly good, beefy, nice char and moist. Beef teriyaki had good flavors . The delight of three was abundant amount of food. I would have liked more spice or flavored to the sauce. The fried rice had a lot of beef in it vs. . Pork which was fine . I surmised that was the Japanese version of fried rice as they have Japanese, hot pot, Chinese menu. I'll visit again . The staff was very friendly, quick, accommodating and 10% cash discount over 20.00 vs credit card fees.

Did a lunch visit with a friend, going our own way with lunch combos and adding a couple of full-order appetizers. -- Spareribs on the Bone: St Louis cut ribs with ruby red glaze, just a bit of char, and a clear honey glaze to sweeten things further. Not the meatiest, not the juiciest, and not the most tender, but they got the job done, thanks to the very pleasing flavor. These have the potential to be stellar at night. As sampled, above average to well above average, even with the flaws. -- Egg Rolls: Extra crunchy exterior and a soft, stringy assortment of both cabbage and celery for greenery, accented with pork. Above average. -- Chicken Wing (the included appetizer on a combo): Not dark of skin, but still crispy. A bit dry. Kinda plain, with discernible but light marinade. Average to slightly below average. -- Hot and Sour Soup: Not many mushrooms or other fillers. Mostly thick, weirdly gloppy broth and some scallions. Spice present, flavors good, textures not so good. Balances out to average. -- Szechuan Style Chicken with Peanuts: Other than having the two ingredients listed in the name, it didn't seem like similarly named dishes or kung pao. Pea pods standing in for celery. Chicken was high quality and the flavors were appealing, with spice coming through and a hoisin-equestrian undercurrent adding depth. A little above average even if different. -- General Gao's Chicken: My friend's lunch combo. He said it was heavy on the breading and had one-note sweetness. A mixed bag, but a worthy visit if you need something in the area. Lunch specials at $11.95 have a more than fair amount of food, so a good value. But it's those spareribs that'll bring me back. Attentive service. Parking in back of the building.

Hot and sour soup with wontons was well seasoned. Chicken wings were crispy. Scallion pancake was a highlight. Well fried. I'll give them that. Not everyone fries their food so well. Potstickers had really nicely browned bottom. Man, that front door is heavy. You're wondering why that's in the review but if you go there, you will understand. Man, that's a heavy door. Fairly standard decor. Waitress was very nice, did not speak a lot of English but certainly competent nothing lost in translation. Overall it was fine. Would not rush back. Did get a pretty great fortune but rarely have found much accuracy in any confectionary based predictions.

Friendly, attentive, and everything came out in a timely way. But when it came to the food, it was just ok for me. I ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice and the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. The rice had decent flavor, but nothing really stood out. It tasted more like a safe choice than something I would go back for. The shrimp with lobster sauce had a nice portion size, but the sauce felt a little flat. It was missing that rich, layered flavor I was expecting. We also got the Bo Bo Platter to share, which is their appetizer sampler. It came with beef teriyaki, chicken wings, spring rolls, shrimp, and crab rangoons. A little bit of everything. Again, it was just ok. The flavors didn't pop the way I wanted them to. My husband had the Crispy Pad Thai which came with jumbo shrimp, chicken , and egg, stir fried with rice noodles. It had a nice presentation. The standout of the night for me was definitely the Fried Shrimp from the Bo Bo Platter. It was done perfectly. Light, crisp, not weighed down by thick batter. I honestly would have been happy just getting a plate of those. Overall, Bamboo is a beautiful space with solid service, but food wise, it didn't hit for me the way I hoped it would. I might try it again for something different, but this visit was just ok.
