Money hungry. My girlfriend and I bought season passes. The season passes are these little wrist bands that are so fucking easy to lose. My girlfriend lost hers but keep in mind she still had the code to get one on her phone and she had her I.D. We took at picture for our seasons passes so they could easily just see it was us but instead this black lady wants to make us pay $38 for a new wrist band. That is absolutely the most stupidest thing I have ever heard of. They were also very rude and they had a attitude that made it seem like they didn't want to be there and hated their job. When you go to an establishment with people that act like that, that's not okay. Don't waste your money here. It's not worth it read more

First off, the parking was $10 which i understand but the lot was full. Then the lot was full which we had to alternate park which was like 30min.The slides are fun such as the new slides. But the park doesn't look attractive on the outside because of TOO MANY TREES! Like seriously its like a forest on the outside!Overall, it is fun and there is music and cool slides now..but if those trees were not there it would be more stuff..hopefully they would take down the trees and build more slides. read more

I was disappointed with the fact that you could not bring your own lunch into the park. The lazy river was very dirty and full of leaves, trash, and all kinds of bugs. My son received a horrible eye infection the day after we visited the water park. The restaurant service was absolutely terrible. It took 30 minutes to get one personal size cheese pizza. I was asked to wait at the table and they would bring me my pizza. I was completely forgotten about and had to go ask three different times for my food. On a brighter note I must say the slides were fun and the lines were not too long. All in all I probably will never return to this water park. read more

Customer service is horrible , I purchased a early bird season pass on their website for me and my wife . When we went and pulled up to the parking attendant, she said it'll be $10 dollars to park . I showed her my invoice for two season passes which comes with free parking . She told me you still have to pay and they will refund your money at the ticket booth . I argued the fact why should I pay when I have a season pass , the lady was really rude . I don't think we will be buying another season pass , I'd rather take my business elsewhere, some place that has better customer service. read more

Our family really enjoyed this water park. There was 7 of us at our visit. They had rides for everyone. I just wish they had more rides that kids under 48" can ride with their family. We packed a cooler, and had lunch at the truck to help save money. I really wished we could bring drinks in to the park instead of buying them there, at least water. The lines were long, but the rides were amazing!! I loved the brain drain, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a thrill ride!!! read more

Fun place to go and decided this year to buy season passes for my family price is very reasonable. Have been twice so far and we enjoyed it. We specially enjoy spending time in the lazy river but do wish they were more strict and paid more attention to people who like breaking the rules. The last time I went some grown man hit me and my 2 year old son while we were in the lazy river because he was hanging from the bridge it's very dangerous and I think employees should pay more attention to imature people who need to be babysat and have no respect for anyone or anything. It's irritating that even with a sign infront of them instructing not to do something people are so careless and still do as they please. I hope the next time I decide to go there are some changes made for others safety. I wouldnt like to go through this again it was very scary. read more

Pretty nice water park, it seems bigger than it looks from the highway. I don't like that you can't bring food in especially because when I went into the restaurant at the back of the park a witnessed a guy dumping grease on the old burgers sitting out for sale. love this park, but they have horrible communication, we had platinum memberships for early access but they decided to close and cancel the event without letting us know. we drove a long way for our whole weekend to be ruined by their terrible communication. atleast the guard was nice, poor guy had to break the news to everyone read more

This water park was definitely a disappointment! We got to the water park and was told we could not get our money back if rain or thunder (totally understandable) got on a few rides and enjoyed then the "clouds" came mere dark clouds appeared and we were told to get out the lines and to secure under shelter (no rain nor thundering) how frustrating and wasteful! 45mins past and we still had no update and so we felt to grab our belongings (my sister and niece and nephew) as we were approaching the lockers we saw a wave of ppl merge into the wave pool as no notice was given that things were back to operating. As we get in the line for another slide the rain began to pour down and still the attractions are still live and affect with the same dark clouding and now with rain (nothing has been shut down at this point) within the next 20/30 mins are so we are in the line for the Tornado (blue and yellow ride) we are the next to aboard the ride. Then whistles are blown and we are literally yelled at to get down and lines are closed! The associate that was guiding people down had to have been the nastiest, unprofessional, rude demeanor I have ever encountered within a professional place. We were exiting the "Tornado" I snapped a picture of the ride, and as my sister proceed to do the same the associate tells her clear as day "get it from your friend no pictures" it caused my sister to feel like she was in a hassle situation and felt disrespected and angered by the associates demeanor toward her. As they exchanged words the associate was remaining with the rude temple and caused us to feel unwelcome and as if our money we paid to enjoy the services and attractions was not good enough. I can honestly say this has left a terrible taste in my mouth about this establishment and will gladly be taken this review not only to the BBB but to anyone who will listen! read more

My family and I went here on the weekend. When we got here the parking lot was full. We had to drive to another parking lot and take the splashtown bus to the front entrance. This made the family separate as most of them had already parked in the front. This was a little disappointing. The rides were great and so was the food. The only thing that I really did not like was that the park closed down at 4:30 because of the weather. It was not raining. It was not even sprinkling. I found this very odd. We arrived at 1:00 and had to leave at 5:00. We did use coupons so we did not spend too much on the entrance. Regardless I do not feel we received our money's worth. Overall this place is pretty fun. I do recommend it however I didn't like the park closing earlier when it was not raining. read more

Just come back from San Antonio sea world, because the kids love the water park so take them to here, oh my.........the excrement is every where at the ground and toilet of the rest room, report to their people but after few hours still the same, I think they don't care. I rented 2 cabanas for my large group, 300+ dollars (not including entry fee and parking fee and food). One of the perks that comes with this high price is that you get wait service, theres a little button you press and the staff are supposed to come over and take your order. I was told that The buttons on both of my cabanas (13 and 14) were broken. So, every time i needed a drink or anything, I had to go on a hunt through this huge park to find some staff, and then explain my situation, and then hope that the person that I did find actually did their job. I feel like if I pay the same amount for a cabana that everyone else pays, then I should get the same service that everyone else gets. If not I should be compensated. I tried to tell one of the employees about this, but I was given the reply, "a lot of them a are broke." If that is the case, then I should have been told this BEFORE I paid all that money to rent the cabana in the first place. Attitudes of employees are HORRIBLE. We were waiting in line for one of the tube rides, so of course everyone has there tubes next to them on the stairs and theres not much room to get by. I guess there was a shift change, so the exiting employee was on her way down. She never once said "excuse me" or any other polite words, she would come to someone that was blocking her path and just stare at them until they moved their tube out of her way. We bought season passes this year and went for the first time this past week. It is ok and we will continue to attend this summer, but with caution. The teenagers running wild and breaking the rules were the worst part. Very little attempt to stop this by staff. We saw several hanging on the bridge in the lazy river and the lifeguard bobbed her head to the music and watched them. There is also some upkeep that needs to be done on the stairs and slide areas. Tips: go early, bring your own food and leave it in a cooler in your car, food is mediocre and expensive. Rent a cabana if you can afford it. read more

Not a fan of this place. This place is such a rip off. My husband family came from Birmingham, AL for a week because my husband was diagnosed with cancer. We decided to go to the water park as a family. Unfortunately we got there close to 4pm because my husband wasn't feeling well that morning. We were only there for an hour before they close the rides due to thunder & lightning which only last for 5 minutes. It never rain the whole time we were waiting. I end up buying something to eat from the family because we really didn't want to leave and waste our money. It's close to 6:30 and the park still haven't open the rides again. Then at 6:30 you hear the park will be closing in 30 minutes. I'm like really I thought it close at 8. Now I'm pissed because I work to hard just to give a billion dollar company my hard earn money for a serves that we didn't receive. After speaking to Joe who stated he was the Food and Beverage manager he stated there's nothing he could do no refund, no exchange and no raincheck. But I just hard him offer a couple the opportunity to come back on tomorrow free of charge. We left and I wrote review on Facebook. Rosie asked for my number and called to apologize . She offer me 4 free tickets at this time all I want is my money back. Like I mention to Rosie I have a husband with cancer I don't have money to waste. I could be using that money on his treatment. This place don't care about there customer. I completely understand that policies are in place for a reason but if you are going to put a policy in action then stand by your service. I will not just let this company just treat hard working people like this. If I have to stand outside and warn people I will. I want my money back and that's the only thing I will accept. read more

My grandchildren love this place. I don't like that they do not have a smoking area inside the park. Also the locker rental has changed to where you only get a standard locker when you pay for it for the season, it used to be the large locker for the past few years. I also think they have went to far with the "carnival" games that have been added this year. I am worried that they will start to go downhill with becoming too commercialized. I am not sure if I will continue to purchase season passes every year after this season. read more

The seasons passes are a great value if you plan on going a few times in the season. My chief complaints are the limited amount of shade in the park & not being able to bring your own food in. The concessions don't offer healthy options and the food is terrible and expensive. read more

We thought that splashtown was ghetto. We were proved wrong. It was clean and the lines weren't that long. All the water rides were open. The downside is that you can't bring food to the waterpark. You either leave it in the car and eat it there or buy their expensive food. read more

We purchased season passes this year thinking it would be a great adventure for us and our 3 year old. I do have to say all the renovations are nice and everything it repainted. There are some places that were lacking attention, lots of trash floating around in the lazy river and wave pool along with hairballs galore. Seemed to have too many "kids" and not enough leadership at the park. I do like the new area for the little kids being they are not tall enough to do the tube rides. I do not like the fact that they make you walk all the way to the top before telling you your "too fat" or your kid is a hair too short to ride. I witnessed a poor girl get turned away after having to stand on the scale and walk all the way down in a crowed staircase and we got turned away because our son was literally a thumbnail too short. If they are going to force these then someone needs to be at the bottom telling you this so you do not waste your time or having to explain to a child that doesn't understand they cannot go down. Then there is the parking situation.... Its all great when you get there at 10 plenty of parking and everything seems great! That is until you try to leave at 1... They do not have that all figured out and no one can answer anything, seems like they are reading a book and cannot help in any way. They have you leaving in the same spot they have the drop off people turning in and then they make you go into the park just to tell you there is no more parking and give you a map to the over flow lot so now your trying to exit with all the people leaving and dropping off just to get dumped back into the same line people are waiting to get told the same thing! Needless to say its a cluster and doesn't seem like they are going to do anything about it. I witnessed people dropping and picking up their kids off on the FREEWAY!!! Doesn't seem like a smart idea to me but I guess you do what you have to do to deal with a insane design. read more

Just a "normal" water park. It seems the park "nickles and dimes" you. Extra charge for your own tube, lockers are $10, food and drinks are expensive, you can't bring your own into the park - only water. One better have a season pass or else it would be a very expensive day. read more

This place is rediculously crowded even throughout the week. They don't cap the number of people they allow in the park and don't have enough for the amount of people they do. We loved the rides, but not standing in line for an hour to ride. read more

Man, you know, I really want to like this place because it's so close to me, but it just doesn't do it for me. The only rides I enjoy are the tornado and well really that's all. It's the only one that's up to par for my kind of "scare myself" ride and even then it doesn't do it after riding it so much. They have a new management team so it is cleaned up a bit more with a few newer rides. It may be because I'm older now, but I still think kids will enjoy this place. The only reason I have a good time is because I go with my family and they make it so much more fun. I'd suggest going early on a weekday because it does get very crowded and the lines can get ridiculously long. Luckily I've been able to avoid that more recently, but I had to learn that the hard way. Give it a shot if you want to go to a waterpark, it may surprise you. I'd prefer bigger and faster water rides myself, but if you aren't into intense rides then this may be the spot for you! read more

I like going to this location. Close to home where I don't have to drive too far. So far it is pretty clean and staff is pretty helpful.

SplashTown is a fun place, but we will never go without renting a cabana. The additional cost is well worth it, as it gives me peace of mind, an extra layer of safety, and comfort. Lifeguards are professional. We do have an issue with food running out, however. I have never been able to get a baked potato there, despite it being on the menu. Cabana service is often slower than it should be. Rides are often closed, however, and this isn't acceptable, considering the cost of admission (to include season passes.) Another gripe is the military discount. If someone is active duty and/or retired, their ID card should count for the whole family. Not all children of retired members have individual ID cards but they should benefit from the discount. Overall, it's fun, and we go several times each summer. read more

This is the first time for us to ever purchase season passes and I would definitely recommend doing that. I like the free parking with the season pass purchase as well! I had not been in 15 years and it's a lot more clean than it used to be. The lifeguards are alert and seem well trained. We've been 4 times so far this summer and had a great experience each time. I do wish they would allow you to bring snacks inside the park though. read more

We definitely won't be going back! We had 4 one being our 2 yr old granddaughter crazy expensive to get in. Hard to stay together because there is no lounger chairs available. It's layed out where it's hard to enjoy family time. We sat and watched our daughter and granddaughter play in the kids area since it was crowded we didn't get in to play with her in fact in the 5 hours we where there the only time we got in the water as a family was the lazy river which we walked it twice they had construction going on around us totally dangerous so we got out and left. The wave pool was nothing spectacular and our granddaughter obviously isn't old enough for all the water slides. The place is dirty diapers thrown on the walk way dirty pooled up water on the walkway restroom discusting. Wasted over 200.00 to get into a lazy river and watch our granddaughter play big big disappointment. And don't even get me started on the unruly teenagers running around. Lesson learned never again!!!!!!! read more

under new management-they've changed they wave pool so it doesn't generate waves. I suppose so they will have reduced liability. While they are at it, they should reduce the angle of the slides by 30 degrees so the downward force isn't so great, and not serve such cold ice cream, because someone might get brain freeze. The place needs maintenance. As we were waiting to ride the Big Kahuna we noticed wooden boards about three floors up that were unattached at the bottoms! My 8 year old could fit through the planks. We told someone the first time we were there and it was still not fixed a week later. On several other slides many bolts were missing. Rusted metal lined several of the concrete platforms. Most of their employees are young teenagers that are very casual in their duties. It would be in the best interest of all patrons for them to hire older and more accountable employees. My children enjoy Splashtown, but I am concerned about the lack of maintenance. My daughter came down one of the slides with scratches all over her back! She was crying hysterically and the young life guard yelled at her to get out of the pool. We will never not be buying season passes next year read more

My family of 3 purchased season passes for the first time this year. A mistake I will not make again. Our first trip was Friday July 3rd. We got there early around 10:30AM and the crowds weren't too bad. We stood in line for approx 30 minutes just to process our season passes so by the time we got into the park it was already getting very busy. Over the course of the next 3 hrs we rode exactly 3 rides. The lines were ridiculously long and moved slower than a snails pace. I could overlook the crowds and long waits due to it being a holiday weekend if the majority of the employees displayed even an ounce of interest in their jobs and made an effort to speed things along. The last straw was standing in line for fajitas for NO JOKE 45 minutes and moving literally 4 feet and watching the employees serving the food goofing off and chatting amongst themselves basically ignoring the 40+ people standing in line starving! Over that 45 minutes 12 people were served plates, that's how slow the employees were moving. Several of us guests in line, complete strangers mind you, watched in utter amazement and decided collectively that we would never again purchase season passes. We never did get a meal at the park, we gave up after 45 minutes and left the park and had a delicious lunch at Lupe Tortillas instead. We are going to attempt another trip to the park this weekend so we'll see how that goes... Don't really want to bother with it but I feel 1 more trip will determine if that first day was a fluke or if I am spot on. I will update this review at that time. after 3 hours of general splashtown activities with my friend and her two 7 year olds, a splashtown employee told me that my attire was not "swim appropriate" and asked me to purchase new shorts from their shop. it was really strange. my shorts weren't particularly provocative, and there were even men there in speedos. we asked them what their dresscode policy was, and they said they didn't have one. read more

i went with my daughter yesterday 5/03/2014 it was with her middle school band. i was a chaperone the 1st time experience was great for us i did not really get to do much because i wanted her to enjoy her time with her friends. we were given the option to upgrade to a season pass for only $44.99 each person which i thought was a super awesome deal!! so we will be returning back today as a family since we have season passes now. the park was great since arriving early with the group the parking was easy and lines were not too long until way later in the day i only remember the girls turning down 1 ride which they should have went for after 1st arriving. since we did not map out where was what we were going back in forth all over the park but since we arrived early the girls had time to do everything they wanted. they had a lot of different groups once the kids were free they were able to just run around and have fun my only thing was some of the ways the kids dressed and their rudeness i think being a pre-teen or teen going out to a public place they should be more appropriate. read more
