Today I called to make a grooming appointment for my dogs. They told me that one of my dogs is categorized as geriatric so it would be $25 more($108 total). I said ok and scheduled the appointments. Then Larrisa called back and said that since it had been 5 months that there would be an up charge for matting of minimally $18 or more based on the size of the dog. My dogs were last groomed by Woof Wash on November 16th which means it's been 3 months. Also, I have my dogs shaved so there is no need to brush them out since any matting would be sheared off. When I asked to speak to the owner, Larissa said that she is the owner. She wouldn't tell me her last name so I am not sure if that's true. I would like to support small business but not one that nickels and dimes me. read more

I had been taking my dog to a large chain and was very satisfied with the groomer, Larissa. She left but I didn't find out where she went. After 2 mediocre jobs by the chain, I finally found out she was at Woof Wash. My dog loves her and got the works today. The job she did was excellent!! And Cloud is happy. Thanks Larissa! read more

Love this little shop! Dawn, the owner, is very accomadating and so good with our 2 dogs. Prices are very affordable. The self service tubs are so convenient and the staff is always willing to help you lift your dog into the tub if you need some help. Plenty of towels, hair dryer, fragrant sprays if you choose to use (lavender for calming etc). We have been going to Woof Wash for awhile and love it! Parking in front on route 31 is a little dicey, but there is some parking behind the building also. Note: they only take cash, debit, or check. No credit cards. read more

I just love these guys! They are so patient with my fearful dog. For anyone who has an issue with times or appointments, you really need to call ahead and make understood what your needs are. Everyone I know that grooms uses this place and they all are very satisfied. But, can you get same day? Probably not... They are busy all the time and budget their time carefully. Dawn is old school and won't candy coat how your dog did, or what YOU as an owner need to do to make it go better (ie: brushing) I cannot recommend them highly enough, tell them Buster and Baylee sent you! read more

Really happy with how my pup turned out after! I could tell he loved it and he smells so much better. Took my very anxious smelly mastiff in today. She came out smelling fantastic, which is nothing short of a miracle since she's an old lady and well....a mastiff. She came out so happy and considering it took some serious persuasion to get her IN, I'd say they know what they're doing. Thank you for being so patient with my old lady. If it was possible I would give this place no stars let me start with I took my pikapoo mix here to get his haircut a day after his vet visit he was perfectly fine. Well we dropped him off at about 10 the next day and didn't get him back until 2 (4 hours later) he was cut very cute. well we brought him home without inspecting his ears we had notice how much he was shaking his head which was a red flag because he never does this. Well when I looked he had two big scabs one on each ear we were beyond furious. So we called the owner and complained because any caring dog owner would be upset well she honored the money back . Which was nice of her and I appreciated that until she failed to be accountable for what her facility had done while my dog was in her care, she had said it looked like an ear infection....... Well yeah obviously it's infected but it's because your groomer, well we got into it right there in her place of "business" with her "wonderful" customer service , her lack of consideration for my dog was unbelievable but you work with dogs with this attitude no wonder it's such crappy service. So I left that joke of a place I went straight to the vet who said that it could have been when they showered him and getting water in his ears or if the put a powder on him that didn't agree with him or that it could have been when they pulled hair out of his ears. My dog has continually been to petco and has never came home like that let alone with a vet bill. She offered to cover the vet bill if the vet had confirmed that it was because of the groomer...... Well she said she had spoke to the vet who said " it had nothing to do with the groom".... I don't believe her nor do I trust this lady with my dog or any dog. I will never take my dog back here again stick to what you know or you may leave with a sick dog or one you need to take the vet. I know that Batavia is a small place with a lot of dog owners which I know plenty of people I would never recommend this place to anyone EVER. Word of mouth goes a long way. read more

A couple of weeks ago, on a Sunday, I was in desperate need of a wash and nail trim for my 2 dogs. I knew it was highly unlikely that I would find a groomer with a same-day appointment but decided to give it a shot and called Woof Wash because they are a local business and I like supporting local businesses. My boyfriend called to ask if they could fit in our 2 dogs. I heard him answering her questions - what kind of dogs we have, how much they weigh, what they needed done. To my surprise, she said sure, bring them in today. So we drove over, and we say we just called for our dogs to be bathed/nails trimmed. The woman behind the counter said "Oh, you mean for the self-wash?" We said No, to be fully groomed. She said we needed an appointment for that ... we said, well, we thought that's what we just did. At the last minute, yes, but why ask us all the questions about breed/weight, if we are doing the work ourselves? At no point in the conversation on the phone did she say we could do the self-wash (which would then still leave us with needing their nails trimmed). So, we left and found another local business who was able to fit them in on the same day. I was not upset that they couldn't fit us in - I realize it was very last minute. It was just the ridiculousness of the phone conversation and leading us to believe that an appointment was available. read more

this place is awesome!!! They give you everything you need, lend a hand, and smile while doing it. I would call ahead just to make sure they aren't real busy, as it isn't a huge place, but its small, locally owned business that has a genuine love of animals and providing a great service to the community. PS. its WAY cheaper than pet smart, or any other grooming your place, but it is DIY :) read more

I've been to Woof Wash twice now. I have a 60lb. mix breed with shorter hair, so I prefer to wash him somewhere other than my bathroom! I love that Woof Wash has self-service. They have two wash basins, one in a larger enclosed (fenced) area and one smaller area. It's first come first serve, but I usually call ahead and they say they'll reserve it for me. Self-service is $12 and there's no time limit. It includes shampoo, or you can bring your own. They have a scrubber, which is great for pulling off the stray hairs. They also have ear cleaner and cotton balls, as well as towels and a blow dryer. The wash basins have the safety collar and stairs you can set up to get your pups up there. The girl at the front desk is very friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that I wish the place was a little cleaner. There was a lot of other dog hair in the drain at my second visit, which I had to pull out to drain the water. A lot of hair in the brushes. The caulking on the wash basins have some black (mold?) stuff on it. Generally it seems a little run-down, but I don't expect much for a little self-serve. Overall impression: Reasonably priced. Good hours and availability. A little run-down/out-dated. read more

i've been taking my dog too woof wash for the last three years, since she was a puppy. they've always been so good and patient with her. they let me bring oatmeal shampoo for her when she gets groomed and she always looks beautiful when she's done. they're super accommodating and can usually fit us in for an appointment within a couple days. thank you dawn and team for everything you do! read more

We took our previous dog to Woof wash for years for nail clips. The dog was very sensitive to having her feet touched and they were very gentle with her. We've been bringing our Std. Poodle in for grooming since she was a pup. Dawn & staff do a great job. Definitely recommend. read more

Woof Wash has very reasonable rates for self service or full grooming. Self service MUCH less than Entirely Pets. If doing self service, they can often - but not always - do nail trims, Depends on whether a groomer is available. Groomer generally on premises M-F & Sat morning, but often NOT on Sat afternoon & Sunday - hey, everybody needs a day off. Bring your own shampoos or they will provide, including oatmeal based & grooming sprays. Self service has appointments most days, but walk-ins too or call & see if they have space. Customers seem to be very weather driven (muddy Spring days, packed, dry winter days, not), so hard to predict availability. read more

I love Woof Wash. I use the self serve tubs and it is so much easier than trying to wash a dog at home in a tub or sink. They have leads for you to clip them to the tub and to the drying tables for safety, aprons for you to wear while bathing them and all the supplies you need for washing and drying. You will leave dry and smelling like a human and the dog can leave smelling less like a dog. read more

I have a large breed dog and the poor guy got sprayed by a skunk. I scheduled a deskunking treatment with woof wash... had to wait over a week to get in but that wasn't the problem. My issue was that I've taken him to groomers before without any issues, my old place in wicker park loved seeing him and said he was great. I don't know what woof wash's deal is but we dropped him off only to receive a call saying he was "trying to bite them" and they refused to wash him. When I asked if he was wearing a muzzle they said yes. Not a problem even though my old place didn't have to muzzle him. But I don't understand how they felt threatened by a dog who was muzzled. If you ask me they're just not good with large breed dogs. Not only that but my fiancé said that the woman who was washing dogs in the back was full of complaints during drop off. That is poor professionalism and speaks to woof wash's level of compitance. If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't go there unless you have a small novelty dog which makes their job easier and more cost effective. Otherwise they will likely complain and show you and your beloved K9 the door. read more
