There aren't a lot of Wetzel's locations in the city, so I'm glad this one is conveniently located at Atlantic Terminal. It's right outside the doors to the main mall area near the LIRR, and every time we've been there, service has been quick. My kid loves the Wetzel Bitz (their pretzel bites), full of salt and butter, and they have multiple types, along with the usual pretzels and drinks. I would also recommend signing up for the rewards program for the loyalty points and birthday discount. read more

Stopped by and got a pretzel today while I waited for my train. The associate was really nice and told me about reward points I can get by signing up my number. The pretzel was okay. I got the almond pretzel. It tasted like it needed to be marinated a little more in the almond flavoring because it tasted more like a plain pretzel. I'm also not happy about inflation. Aunt Annie's aint got nothin on Wetzels Pretzels okuuurrrr! Not too much flavor yet the perfect amount. I had an almond cinnamon pretzel which was tasty! I'd give it a 4/5. Service is always swift! Ambiance is grab and go. The only issue I have with them is $3 sauce... I get it. Pretzels are Pretzels, but I do know every Pretzel is made differently. This is the second time I grab an Almond Pretzel when around. Not my favorite like Aunt Annie's Pretzels. I will explain why. The almond pretzel at Wetzel's does not have the semi sweet taste the almond gives. Doesn't even have that slight taste or smell of almond like Aunt Annie's almond pretzel has. The pretzel at Wetzel is good when still warm. If you let it cool down the pretzel will be solid like a rock. I typically won't know if by placing the pretzel in an oven will do the job. On the other hand, Aunt Annie's is different. This location does have other pretzels and drinks. The location is inside the Brooklyn Terminal Mall. A few steps away from the Long Island Railroad and next to Starbucks. The space is very small. They do have a few staffs working there. Every time I pass by the establishment always seems like no one stops by. Always empty. At least the times I have passed by. The establishment is always hot hence why the door is always open. I won't know what summer is like there, because I only stop by when in the mood for an almond pretzel. If you are an Aunt Annie's pretzel person I say try Wetzel's Pretzels and try the difference for yourself. read more

How great is Wetzel's Pretzels? Very great, to the point that I am upset that I worked upstairs and in the office many year's ago and do not remember them being in that location. A small very clean shop with a great-friendly team. We were headed home and the last time I bought a pretzel outside I regretted it. So... we headed to the train and I had to stop. There were two in the bag and I assume it's because we were minutes from them closing. I went downstairs to wait for my train and started to eat one. It was an OMG experience. This was one really good pretzel. A little crunch on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. I mean, isn't that what there supposed to be and why doesn't everyone understand that. It also tastes great. Good thing I had two as I could not stop eating it. I am looking forward to my next trip to Brooklyn so I can indulge on the way home. I am not a big fan of such food. Just because I had my work out in the morning and was running all over downtown Brooklyn for christmas presents, I decided to try pretzels. I knew there was Auntie's Pretzel next door but on my way just as I waked into the building I saw these pretzels and decided to try. Almond crunch bites were the excellent choice! Pretzel bites itself are very soft, combination of sweet cream and crunchy almond (it is really crunchy) is perfect. The portion was so big that I didn't expect it recommend, at least to try once, at least almond crunch bites. read more

I absolutely love Wetzel's from when I used to live in California - like them way more than Auntie Annies which is way more common on the east coast. Decided to drop by when I saw there were a few locations in New York. This one is a little difficult to find. It's not actually part of the mall itself which is why you can't find it on the directory. It's technically located in the lobby outside of the mall in the LIRR station. Hard to find if you don't know where it is. This particular Wetzel's serves exactly the same food as the other locations in California - the cheese sauce is slightly more tangy and cheddary than the stuff that Auntie Annie serves, and their hot dogs aren't as salty and dried out. The menu is a little more basic with less options. Prices here are a bit steeper for a pretzel. Frozen lemonade and sweet cinnamon options also available. read more

Earlier last year, I was heading to Atlantic Mall when near the entrance, a lady handing out pretzel samples stopped me from walking further. It was a pretzel with almond crunch and glaze on top and oh my god, it was delicious. I never actually buy something from tasting samples, but this pretzel was so amazing that I walked in the store to buy a whole bag full. In addition to that I also bought a cup of pretzel dog bites which were equally amazing. One bite of sweet and one bite of savory; to me, that was the perfect pair. Recently, I stopped by again to make the same purchase, the dog bites I bought were so burnt on the outside. The dough layer on the inside that wrapped around the hot dog was wet. I had to take out the bread and just eat the mini hot dogs. After reaching to the last 2 or 3 hot dogs, I noticed that the bottom of the cop was really oily. On a good note, the almond crunch pretzel bites were still good but not as great at the first time I had it. Their food are on the more expensive side, but when it tastes good - it feels worth it. read more

Yesterday, I tried the ~20 piece bag of mini pretzels (I'm not sure what it's called). Quite frankly, it's not that good. The pieces were warm and soft. However, they had a slightly bitter taste. That's in stark contrast to Auntie Anne, which has a subtle sweet taste. In addition, it's borderline overpriced ($6.29, including tax). There aren't a lot of dining options in the area so if you're in a rush for the LIRR and are craving a snack then this is a semi-decent option. read more

So this place is in the same spot as the cookie place was and another pretzel place which shall be nameless. I was super happy to come across this because Target had no popcorn and my brain wished for a pretzel of Atlantic Terminal's past. As I rounded the corner to exit the "mall", behold, a brightly lit corner that had pretzels. Lots of pretzels. If you're like me, you have never heard of this company..or maybe you have. They have several large screens animating what they have but no menu...the menu is small and right in front of the register. I asked the woman behind the register what sets them apart from the "other pretzel company that will remain nameless" and she seemed flustered. I can say the price seems to be more, with a small lemonade coming to almost $3.75 and a pretzel around 4 bucks. I feel like it's airport pricing but no one is asking me to eat bread and fake cheese, are they? I won't lie, I'm too happy that there is a pretzel place back in the "mall". Can't wait to buy their $15 bag of pretzel bites (kidding). Oh and the young woman was saying you get more food versus the other pretzel spot. But you definitely pay more, so I'm not sure if thats a good comparison. I hope they put the pricing up on those screens because it will bring more people in. read more

This pretzel place is closer than auntie Anne's if you're close to the subway/lirr, as well as cheaper. For the most part they're just pretzels... So I decided to come to this place than auntie Anne's because t just newly opens. I ordered the pretzel dog bites and it was about $6 for like 8 pieces... which is kinda pricey. The dough was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside (some were burnt) the dough seems undercooked and didn't rise. This Wetzel's pretzel is the second one I've seen and they don't have their app scanner yet. read more

The pretzels are ok. Not the best. Aunt Annies is definitely better. But t was worth a try. I find they're too salty. The amount they give is a lot! But it had flavour just too much salt and butter. Nice location though. read more
