I don't normally go to Wetzel's Pretzels, but I decided to give it a chance since my boyfriend wanted a little treat while we were at the mall. We ordered a strawberry lemonade and an order of Cin-a-Bitz to share and everything came out super quickly. Our cashier was nice, helpful, and made the experience smooth. The Cin-a-Bitz were decent, soft with a good amount of cinnamon sugar and the lemonade was definitely on the tart side, but still refreshing and tasty. Edwin is not helpful at all, I was unable to get a refund from being charged pretzels they told me were free. Edwin told me to come back in 3 days if my refund never went through and when I went back he denied giving me my money back. He asked him to write his store name and number for me, as he went to grab a pen changed his mind and was trying to refrain from giving his name and store number. I just want my 15 dollars back. We ordered a pretzel pizza and mini hot dogs. The mini hot dogs were so old! It's been sitting on the rotator under the heating lamp for a while. The hot dogs turned a different color, dry and the dough looked different and oily. I understand businesses are needing to sell all the food but there has to be a cutoff or boundaries on when old batches of food can be sold. The flavor of what I was craving for a while. Pretzel cinnamon bites with a side of glaze, perfect for dipping. The line went pretty quickly. We waited only a minute or two to get all our food. Also got the pizza, pepperoni bites. My son wanted the cheese to dip, we forgot to order the cheese dip. The line was a little longer , so we waited a bit for that. They had a promotion that day, we did get a free strawberry lemonade. It would be nice if the mall had small tables and seats near there to enjoy the food sitting down. It's disappointing that this location only offers pizza pretzels. You can't even get a plain pretzel, much less a cheese pretzel or a cinnamon pretzel. When we visit the Mall this place is a must!! My kids love it here and are so upset that I made them go to the other pretzel place!! He spoke to me nicely with a great attitude and confidence. Very disappointed with this location . Went with my daughter to buy the the little hotdog bites. First of all its an expensive item to buy and the fact that it was raw dough and my 8 yr old daughter thought it was cheese until I saw it was raw dough. Do not support this location. The higher-ups do not give the staff their tips! I purchased food & drinks and paid with my card, when I attempted to tip, the staff member ringing me up stopped me & told me to save my money because they don't ever get those tips. Beware!!! If you're using a card to pay please be aware that the cashier is reaching over to select they're own tip on the credit card machine. Don't double tip by putting cash in their bucket or if you're not a tipper PAY CASH! I visit this location frequently because it's my daughter's favorite stop when we visit the mall, I always noticed that the cashier reaches over to select an option but I never knew what it was until yesterday... I inserted the card and noticed there was a tip option non in which are ZERO and before I could make my own selection the cashier did it for me.. then i realized that each time I visited this location the cashier had been reaching over to make the tipping selection for me ( not by choice) very disappointing! First of all the girl that was working there today 9/17 @4:04 has a horrible attitude and bad customer service. The guy that took our order asked her to make it and told her bits and she handed me a pretzel, I told her it was bits she rolled her eyes and asked him and he told her yes it was the bits. I absolutely love Wetzel's Pretzels... Usually. Today we came to this location because our usual is closed for renovations or some such thing. My fiancé and I each got a bag of bits and a cheese dog and the dogs are the only reason they get two stars instead of one. The bits, which they told us would take 10 minutes to make but ended up taking more like 20, were the worst I've ever had. Usually when you order bits they are rubbed with butter and tossed with salt, which is delicious for a treat. This time they were completely dry with barely any salt. I was a little miffed, but figured it wasn't that big of a deal... Until I started eating them. The larger ones were all raw in the middle! My fiancé also mentioned to me that he had to remind the girls working there to give him his food, as they seemed to have forgotten he was still waiting for it. Arrived at the Montebello location just after 8 PM on Free Pretzel Day. The Wetzel's Pretzels website States "*One free Original Pretzel per customer. Only valid on 4/26/18". Our family arrives, there are five of us. One customer leaves with her Pretzel. When we ask for our "...free Pretzel Day Pretzels..." She tells me we have to "...buy a drink or a dip for $1.49..." Confused, I explain to her the company website states it was one free pretzel per person. She still refuses. Confused, I asked if we came up individually one at a time, she would give us each a pretzel, but because we're a family of five we have to buy something? She confirms. I interject that bait-and-switch is against the law, but she still refuses to relent. After a few minutes of further false advertising, I was able to get her to give me "one" pretzel but still wanted me to buy a drink and/or a dip. I told her no thanks and took the pretzel and left. The manager's name is apparently "Sofia" but she wasn't on the premises. So I went up and asked the manager if their hiring. Immediately she looked at me and said no sorry we are not. So I told her didn't you guys put an add up stating you guys are hiring.
