She was very rude even though the sign lists all of the flavored ones as "classics." The Free one is just one of equal or lesser value. They had ready pretzels with jalapeño and pepperoni and just pepperoni...but no sweet almond or just jalapeño on site. She was very reluctant to have us order that saying they don't have it. She also had just plain and the cinnamon one. I said other locations can make it I don't mind waiting. She was so angry at that! It's like okay..it's on the menu though so...why are you giving me so much attitude for ordering something on the menu? This is a combined Cinnabon and auntie Anne's and Carvel by the way in the topmost floor of the Del Amo Mall.

Review #988 2026-058…read more Pretzels & Drink Order: Original with Salt Pretzel $6.36 Pepperoni Jalapeño Cheese Pretzel $7.42 Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel (birthday freebie) Original Pretzel Nuggets $9.54 Cheese Dip $1.84 Blue Raspberry Lemonade $5.99 Auntie Anne's is a franchised pretzel shop chain located in Del Amo Fashion Center near Din Tai Fung; best entrance is by Luna Grill & 85°C Bakery Cafe. I haven't been back to one since my college days; I visited the Glendale Galleria location so often that I had stamp cards that I redeemed almost quarterly. Auntie Anne's partnered with T-Mobile Tuesdays as part of T-Mobile's customer appreciation program, offering a freebie pretzel. I came in for the 1st time after 2 decades for an Original, & also picked up my fav: Pepperoni Jalapeño Cheese Pretzel. The Original is soft & chewy, with added texture & saltiness from the salt crystals. The Pepperoni Jalapeño Cheese Pretzel is tasty, but a tad greasy from the pepperoni. I love the added spice kick from the pickled jalapeños! While you can see the cheese, it doesn't add any "cheese" flavor. I was iffy about returning when Auntie Anne's dropped a couple of coupons in April to my loyalty account: $1 lemonade with pretzel nuggets purchase & free birthday pretzel. I redeemed the pretzel nuggets with a medium Blue Raspberry Lemonade. The cashier asked what flavor dipping sauce I wanted with the pretzel nuggets, & I chose Hot Salsa Cheese to add some heat; I didn't find out until later that it's an extra surcharge. Aaaugh!! \(`0´)/ Though his tone implied that the dipping sauce is an accompaniment to the pretzel nuggets like a dipping sauce for "chicken nuggets." For the amount & price, it wasn't worth it, especially since the small tub ran out before I was 1/2 way through the cup. If they had the Cinnamon Sugar flavor, I wouldn't need a dip since it's already flavored/crusted with cinnamon sugar. The Blue Raspberry Lemonade is a vibrant blue that's so bright, I can see/taste the artificialness. It's lemonade mixed with an artificial blue raspberry syrup, & is sweet & slightly tart. For the taste & price, I would probably never buy this at the original price, & made an exception because of the $1 coupon. I prefer Hot Dog on a Stick's lemonades more, or Sip Fresh's fruit tea lemonades. My birthday coupon expires in another week & asked if I can redeem it at the same time; he said it would be ok if it was rung as a separate transaction & picked Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel, my fav sweet pick. The pretzel has been sitting for a while so it's not quite as warm as a fresh baked one. It's slightly charred/burnt, still soft, & loaded with loads of cinnamon sugar that you're reminded of a churro but without that crunchy crust. Savory & Sweet Dipping Sauce (1.4 - 1.7 oz.) options: Caramel, Cheese, Cream Cheese, Hot Salsa Cheese, Honey Mustard, Marina, Sweet Glaze. There's a surcharge for the dipping sauces. Their pretzel menu consists of classic pretzels, pretzel nuggets & buckets, pretzel dogs, dips, & drinks. Price points are on the higher side in comparison to another pretzel franchise chain that's also located in this mall. Service is friendly & quick here, I waited a few minutes with a dozen customers ahead of me; I docked a star for the dipping sauces surcharge. With the random execution issues, I'm doubtful that I'll be making repeat visits without the T-Mobile offers.

I had a $5 off reward to use on my Wetzel's account, and it was going to expire in a week. I was originally planning to use it at the Lakewood or Cerritos locations, which are much closer to me. However, after catching a movie at the nearby Regal Cinemas, I spotted this standalone Wetzel's Pretzels and figured why not use my $5 reward here instead? And also to see how it would compare to the locations I've been to inside a mall. When I came in, the first thing I noticed was how long the front counter was; it ran almost the length of the pretzel shop! In the back was where they made the pretzels, and you could see a little bit of how they roll the dough into the pretzel shapes. Faith was the employee who rang me up, and her service was more like whatever. Like she was helpful in answering my questions, but she had more of an eh kind of attitude that I think she would much rather have been watching a movie at the aforementioned Regal instead. As an example, I asked Faith what the three-fingered orange symbol was next to some of the menu items, and she had no clue (or maybe pretended?) as to what I was saying. I had to be more descriptive as if English were her second language, and she finally understood what I meant. Those orange symbols signified menu items that were available only at this location. And just when I was considering getting a Jalaroni pretzel, which I've gotten several times at the Lakewood and Cerritos locations, I was sold on trying an item that I could *not* get at either of the malls. The two Twistz, Pizza Bomb and Triple Grilled Cheese, were both exclusive to the La Habra location, and even when there was a photo of the Pizza Bomb, it was hard for me to make sense out of what exactly it was. Faith's response to my initial inquiry of the Pizza Bomb simply was to look at the photo, but I wanted her to clarify more about what it was. Since the Pizza Bomb felt like a Triple Grilled Cheese with some marinara and pepperoni replacing some of the cheese in the Triple Grilled Cheese, I went with the Pizza Bomb. With my $5 off, the Pizza Bomb came to about $4 plus tax, and Faith asked if I would like some dipping sauce to go. When I asked her how much it'd be, she said a couple of dollars, which would have been half of what I'd pay for the discounted Pizza Bomb. Since I didn't want 1/3 of my total cost to be a dipping sauce, I passed on a sauce, thinking that the marinara and pepperoni inside the Pizza Bomb would suffice. Faith did mention to me that they are made to order, so it would be about a 15-minute wait. I appreciated her mentioning that to me so I wouldn't be sitting there wondering why it would be taking so long when they already have a display case of baked pretzels that are ready for the taking. They have five small tables and chairs by the pickup counter facing the window, so I sat at one while I was waiting for my order. At the pickup counter, I noticed they had a bunch of copies of coupons for $1 off Oreo Bitz and $1 off Mozzarella Stickz. However, I noticed the fine print of the Mozzarella Stickz coupon indicating that it had expired in August of last year! Why give out expired coupons? To deceive the customer?! Even though the Oreo Bitz coupon wasn't past expiry, I didn't take one since the Oreo Bitz looked overly sweet to eat them all in one sitting. After a 20-minute wait, Faith handed me my takeout bag while mentioning to be careful since the Pizza Bomb was still hot. I grabbed a handful of napkins from the napkin dispenser on the pickup counter to prepare for the amount of grease I was expecting from the Pizza Bomb. I was hoping the Pizza Bomb would taste bomb, but it unfortunately bombed instead. The pretzel dough was overly thick so as to overpower the taste of the marinara and pepperoni. I would have tasted much more pizza had I gotten a Jalaroni Pretzel with some marinara dipping sauce instead! I kind of regretted not getting the Triple Grilled Cheese because I feel I would have liked that much better, even if it wouldn't exhibit a pizza-like taste. Their loaded bitz are also exclusive to the La Habra location, but they sounded pretty rich and heavy, like enough to call it a dinner. Overall, I'm glad I tried this standalone Wetzel's Pretzels location, but I don't think it's that much different than a mall location. I certainly didn't hate my experience here, but I definitely didn't love it either, so I think 3 stars is fair, even though I would have been pretty unhappy had I paid full price for that Pizza Bomb.

I understand that Shappy's is not Canter's where the pickup was for that day. But I had a bad experience with my pickup. The people working at Canter's were incredibly rude and kept bouncing me from one counter to the other. Please note: these counters are across from each other and it seemed like the employees had some kind of interpersonal conflict. They were rude to each other, to me. I finally went the host to get help and he brushed me off and said I couldn't pick up here. Fortunately, one woman came out from the back, a server, and she got my order for me. Of course, she was immediately reprimanded for helping me. I would definitely go again to Shappy's if the pickup was anywhere else. Update: Shappy's reached out to me about my above issue within 30 minutes of posting and they took the time to talk and make things right. That's customer service right there! I will put up with Canter's to support Shappy! GO BIRDS!
