The new Whataburger in Celina is off to a great start! The place is clean and well-maintained, which is always a good first impression. The staff, while still learning the ropes, is friendly and clearly trying to get everything right during this initial phase. It's exciting to have a new location in town, and it shows that the team is eager to please. I ordered the sausage BOB, my go-to breakfast item, and as always, it didn't disappoint. I love how he has come out of the kitchen to tell people they are averaging 15-20 min wait times.. then comes out every 1-5 min to talk to a friend while the very kind lady kept trying to take orders. If you stayed in the kitchen the food would be out quicker. Over 20 min wait time for me by the way. read more

This is the most consistent location Whataburger has. They consistently under deliver on service. I've completed an order every possible way app, pick up, drive up, and all in - you get the picture and I think they've gotten my order right only once and it was for breakfast. Management does not respond well. Today Alyssa asked us what we wanted her to do. I think, her job. Ketchup is always an issue, but I wouldn't write for just that. Today Alyssa said one of our two issues was due to their cola distributor and let us know we could come back. For what? They think it'll be fixed by the time I load up and drive another 10 minutes. It's closer but I'll head to the Gates at Propser where they tend to have way fewer issues. read more

I love Whataburger! However, much like the other reviews state this whataburger is very slow. I waited a significant time and all I ordered was a justaburger. Whoever the drive thru attendant was (young lady) acted like the job was beneath her and she hated her life. Couldn't understand her at the drive thru speaker as she muttered. We went thru the drive thru. We were in the second line. Nobody ever came on the speaker after several minutes, so we moved to the other line. The wait was ridiculous. Next time I will go inside. The burger was very good and the burger gets the star. read more

If you order pancakes, you have to ask for syrup...unbelievable...seriously I couldn't believe they actually said this to me as I had to wait in the drive through line after ordering off the app and picked up my order. Also, forget red salsa...it's on their app but it doesn't exist...I never receive it and when you ask for it they give you green salsa which is the complete opposite and tastes terrible. If you want spicy ketchup and select it on the app, beware...they will give you regular ketchup. It's pretty easy to use the app to order but apparently it's hard for the workers to read and actually select the food and condiments correctly...they actually forgot 3 sausage patties....3!!! Service is really slow in the evening. I just saw 4 cars back out of the drive through line. They need to have more staff or get a better process. I have stopped in the morning twice and they always mess up my order. It's better to go to the one down in Prosper. Food is okay if you get the right order. I haven't ever been inside and just normally do the drive through. Maybe it's just because they are new but I definitely could have made it to the Prosper location and been home in the time it took in Celina. read more

I've visited about 12 times. The first 11 times, food was good, although they often got the order wrong. E.g., no cheese omitted, too few patties, etc. The twelfth time the order came out way too fast. The meat was dry. It must have been cooked already and sitting their drying out. Of course, I would rather wait longer and get good food. They apparently were more interested in shorter wait times than the best food they could produce. Will give them another chance. read more

Ever since whataburger got bought out by BDT the service has been ass, not this location though. It was a long night and I had worked a long shift at the hospital. After I got off I was driving home and saw the whataburger in Celina. I craved a large fry. I decided to stop and get some food and Adrian helped take my order. I have been eating at whataburger for years and have NEVER experienced better service than what I did from this whataburger. Every request I made was delivered and done so with a smile. Whoever the management is at this location needs to resign and give Adrian their job. Adrian created a spectacular atmosphere and the ambiance was above and beyond. He even delivered our food to the curb since the cooks were taking too long. Adrian was able to deliver spectacular food and helped me to forget the shift I experienced at work today. Please give this man a raise because he is carrying you on their shoulders. The picture lacks the fry's that was delivered by Adrian. I couldn't let it sit there for too long. I bet Adrian made sure my fry was overfilled because it was when I got it. I ate a couple handfuls before I decided to leave a review so do not let the picture deceive you. read more

I went to this restaurant tonight and the guy who took my order, gave me my change and delivered my food did the most profoundly amazing job ever. Who is this night in shining armor you ask... his name was Adrian. What-A-Burger is now the best restaurant in the world in my book because of this saint of a man. I asked and he delivered, I wanted my meal whatasized and boy did he deliver. The amount of spicy ketchup he gave me did not go unnoticed. I pray my children grow up to be half the man Adrian is. Love this location. So clean and the customer service is Amazing!! We go often and have never had a bad experience. For the reviews that say they're slow, they make the burgers fresh and they're always hot. All the Whataburgers take a bit longer because of their quality. If you want something faster and not as good quality, then go to McDonald's. The staff works hard at this location and they keep it extremely clean. Brandon was awesome at customer service and made sure we had everything we needed. We also had a manager bring our stuff out and he was extremely pleasant! :-) read more

Well this new chain is not what it use to be for sure. However, they are consistently inconsistent as reviewed by the last customer. I remember the family restaurant claim when it started in San Antonio and have been to the first one in CC numerous times over my career in S Texas. We went to this one on S Preston in Celina last night after an Elementary school Christmas program. The idea of 'Family' owned business here is a thing of the past. In 2019 when the restaurant founders sold off to a private equity firm in Chicago it has never been the same and never will. When you walk in for dining and you are faced with a kiosk, there is NO customer service or care for you or the personal approach to ordering. The scanner did NOT accept the Wednesday 'free upgrade to large fires' on the App. Food was delayed as a result of issues with 2 other patrons that wee equally frustrate by impersonal approach to dining. The burgers for the children seemed smaller than I recall before and the cookie in the kids meal is obviously TOO large to conform to good daily food allowances, but it will definitely convince the kids to get the parents to cone back and they will become obese. But for myself I tried a cobb salad with spicy chicken, no egg which was brought out without the chicken and had egg on it! pardon the pun. Without actually making a big deal, I asked the Manager to review these issues and asked that he stop by our table if he had a chance after taking care of the previously mention other customer issues, but needless to say he did NOT even ever acknowledge that we were there! read more
