Picked up dinner for two and first order was a #1 medium with onion rings and a sprite for the drink. Second meal was a pattymelt large with fries and a coke for the drink. Someone, please tell me why when we sat down to eat there was not a meat patty in the #1 meal. (I know, your asking where are the pictures but I was so mad that we thru the meal away without thinking of taking pictures). People check your meals before leaving. Unfortunately not being from the area I definitely didn't feel the Texas charm. Dining room closed at 1030, I ran up to the door at 1031 to use the restroom the employee ignored me. I signed I needed to use the bathroom and they shook their head and didn't even bother to come to the door. I planned on going through the drive through, but after that incident I didn't even want to give them business if they couldn't bare to talk to a customer. read more

So we came last night and ordered a kids meal chicken strip combo along with a whatachicken combo. After taking the first order the person paused us and made us wait a couple of minutes to finish our order. After that we made our way to the window to pay. Our total came to be around $15 and I was kind of surprised, we ordered one combo and a kids meal so it shouldn't be that high. Then the drive thru person asks if we had the 2 chicken strip, and we're like yes... only to realise she meant 2 chicken strip combos not the 2 chicken strip meal... DONT GO!!!! Three girls in their 20s had Uber drop them off to grab a snack before heading home as hours are Saturday til 4 am. We were dropped off and refused service because their security guard did not show up. We requested to wait inside for our next ride for safety and we're refused and laughed at by the manager. Why is whataburger such a big thing in Texas?? They seem to be on every block and everyone has a long line. Even at midnight there was a dozen cars in front of mine in the drive through. I ordered a bacon cheese burger fries and onion rings. The burger was really processed and the bun was huge. The meat to bun ratio was way off and felt like I was eating a bun over a burger. We love Whataburger. We have friends in from Chicago and HAD to bring them to a Whataburger. We had a great experience at this restaurant. Our friends ordered their son a burger kids meal but we forgot to tell them it came with mustard. We asked for a new bun and they offered to replace the whole burger which made their son much happier. The employees were all attentive and polite and checked on us frequently. The manager offered the kids some cool color changing cups as a souvenir to make up for the burger. Over all it was a great experience! read more

so I'm just a regular uber deiver picking up food for my customer, and they took over 30 min. When I got to my customer to drop off the food, I saw that it's incomplete. I realize that its my faule because I didnt check the food, so I have to come back for it. so I called them(Wataburger) and they told me the food is "still ready" so I came back and had to wait another 10-15 min. After a day of snacking and honky tonking at Billy Bob's Texas, pumaposse found themselves STARVING around midnight. Ever since landing in Texas, we had been discussing Whataburger... the sweet siren call of a fast food joint unavailable to us in California was just too hard to resist... and OH GREAT JOY, Whataburger is open 24/7. Halle-freaking-lujah! AMBIANCE: Um... its a fast food place. What do you expect? At 12:30am the place was deserted, with the exception of two cops on their (extended) break. SERVICE: Again, typical fast food place... although the guy working the registered seemed real flustered when he was confronted by 7 hangry little Asian girls all gussied up in over the top (interpretations of) cowboy outfits (hey, give us a break, we were just at Billy Bob's!). This flusteredness translated over into completing our orders incorrectly-- we didn't have to wait too long for our food, but there were several errors in what was brought out to us (and even a thick curly hair in JF's vanilla shake... EW!). The staff were very apologetic and quick to replace our orders with the correct items, but it just turned into a standing joke within our group. FOOD: We ordered a variety of items off the menu (sense a theme here for our Texas trip? haha), including an all meat burger (no veggies whatsoever), the Whataburger Jr (tasted like a hamburger from McD), and Whatachik'n bites. - Whatachik'n Strips: I was initially brought out an order of three strips (I had ordered bites). These were NOT good. Stale and lukewarm, they were dry and tasteless. No amount of sauce could rescue them. - Whatachik'n Bites: These came fresh out of the fryer and were delicious. Extremely juicy all white meat, they were crispy/crunchy, finger licking, tongue burning delicious. I imagine the strips would've been just as good if they were also fresh. The fries were so so; KS also ordered onion rings, and seemed very happy with them. FYI for those of you unfamiliar with Whataburger meal orders, the standard size drink included is a whopping 32oz (everything is bigger in TX!). Quite shocking when we realized a "small" was 24oz (a medium/large in most other states). OVERALL: A perfectly fine choice for fast food... even better that they're open for whenever the urge to indulge in unhealthy munchies strike. read more

I'm not a reviewer but I've had multiple bad experiences with this particular whataburger. I went tonight to get chicken tenders and the chicken is always burnt and they are nuggets. That wouldn't bother be if it was the first time it's happened but it's not. Rude, awful cashier and staff. A girlfriend and I were from out of town and our phones died. After walking for more than two hours in the middle of the night after bars closed trying to find a charger or something so we could call an Uber we happened upon this Whataburger. We explain our situation that we are lost with no phone to Uber and we don't have the address to our hotel because it's on our phones. The cashier casually says "we can't do anything. Ordered a number 10 which is a What a Chicken Sandwich meal with a sweet tea. We waited 15 minutes at the drive thur and gave my order it was old fries and they gave me a burger and on top of that one of the employees was eating right in front of me. I come to this Whataburger all the time. It's just as good as any of the best ones out there. The reason for the 5 star review, which I never give fast food places, is because of their current manager, Hope. Two weeks ago I received the wrong order at this establishment. I was upset, but it happens. Today I came back to this Whataburger and placed the same order. Without me saying a word, Hope remembered that I got the wrong order two weeks ago and wouldn't let me pay for today's. Now that's some good management. read more
