I love a good taco casa. It's probably my favorite fast food restaurant. Relatively gluten free as far as I can tell, as long as you stick to corn tortillas. I usually order a super taco and frijoles. And hot sauce! It's decently priced fast food that tastes fresh enough. Always a crispy taco and a cold Coca Cola. The staff always seems nice, too. I eat here occasionally as I work close by but today was one of their 'special' days here. I was greeted after a moment when we walked in. The girl behind the counter was surly, she did not articulate what she was saying very well. Just not friendly When I asked about how much the tea was, she added 2 lg teas to the bill. I said no, that I would just want water. Guess what? Water is $0.99. she just didn't hear me ask and gave me no choice to say no water. They also advertise that if you pay cash, you will get 3% off. She rang me up and did not give me the cash discount. I asked if she had given me the cash discount. She looked at the register and said "no". And walked away. she did not try to make it right. Did not say I am sorry. Did nothing, just walked I am not worried about the whopping 30 cents. I could care less about that. I do not like being lied to and dismissed. Didn't get to take a picture since we were hungry. We got the super burrito, which was yummy, flavorful and a pretty big portion. Definitely something I would order again. We also got their new chili burger sandwich and well, it was kind of a let down. Wednesday night I had to go to McKinney. It's a lot longer drive than I realized and by the time I got home I was so exhausted and hungry because I had not had dinner. It was just a few minutes till 10:00 and Taco Casa closes at 10:00 so I hurried to the drive-thru. They had already shut it down and was locking the door. I told the lady standing outside that I was hungry and that I needed dinner and why were they closing early. SHe laughed at me and said that sounded like a personal problem. I was so shocked. I left and it's not likely I'll ever go back. I understand them not opening the store, they've already shut everything down, but to have that type of attitude...no thank you. The burritos and tacos are really good. The prices are a little high, but it's worth it, but I don't like that. They overfill my cup with tea and when I my it, I ended up with a sticky console in my car. A little common sense goes a long way. Rudest person ever in the drive thru. The entire time it was attitude. Then he gave the guy behind me a "give me a minute" when he said hello to make his order. It was not a nice please hold on it was attitude. At the window he said the price, I handed him my card and he shut the window. Opened it handed me my food and car and just looked at me? Love taco casa but this location I had my first bad experience. First the line was long and moved very slow. Lack of sense of urgency or short handed I don't knows. But when I showed up to pay the woman and the man were just talking the whole time. Not even paying attention to me. But what was worse was the food was cold I had to heat up when I got home and the burritos were not wrapped properly and failing apart. I won't return to this location for sure. A new Taco Casa just opened a few months ago been there a few times and the service has been very good the food hot and fresh. This is a very nice looking store and a good location on the North Eastside since there are no other Mexican fast food chains around. I like Taco Casa the food has great taste with plenty of meat, and cheese in the tacos. Not like some places that put very little in the tacos. The burritos are big and loaded with beans and cheese. One negative is the soda machine is behind the counter so you have to ask for re-fills on your drink. I like that they clean off your table when you are done nice touch. The menu is limited they only focus on a few items but that is ok with me. Taco Casa is a good addition to the fast food chains in DFW area. read more

The newest Taco Casa outlet has landed in East Fort Worth. The exterior of the place looks great; the interior -- like all the rest in the local chain -- is bathed in hideous orange and yellow colors. It cheapens the look of the place. But hey, they've built 75 of them so far, so they must be doing something right. The food is good and fresh. Tacos top the mostly limited menu. I wish they could expand the menu offerings more. The chips are very good quality for a fast food outlet. I wish they had some spicy salsa to go along with them. read more

Soooo glad that there's another option for lunch close to the place where I work. Taco Casa is a pretty common chain around Texas, but I had never been until today. Vowing to never go to Taco Bell again, this was a great option for me for a quick burrito that was close by. While looking at the menu, the options for non-meat items were rare, but there were a couple. I ordered the nachos minus the beef, and a bean burrito to go. I really like the way the nachos were packed. You get a box of chips, and each of the other ingredients are packed separately! I love this so your chips don't get soggy and mushy before you start to eat them. The cheese sauce was cheese sauce...nothing more, nothing less. The beans were ok..a step above TB, but still fast food beans. The burrito, which was made with the same beans, was decent as well. Taco Casa is exactly what you would expect from a Fast Food Mexican spot. Don't get me wrong, it's a step above Taco Bell...maybe hovering a little higher than your Taco Bueno range. I didn't have any complaints with my food, and I'm thrilled that there's another lunch option in this part of Ft. Worth. read more

I go here all the time and I've loved it until 08/15. I ordered my normal taco lites and got EXTREMELY sick 30 minutes after. Pain from front to back it was horrible. I thought back to the staff and experience. None of the normal people were there. Then I remembered telling the person receiving the money that he had cheese all over his arm. He looked at it and just Brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal. He didn't wash his hands or anything i remembered him going back to the food table and helping the next order. First of all when I walked in I almost fell because there was so much water on the floor with no wet floor sign . I was picking up a doordash and all the woman at the register wanted to know was how did I get in the store because their about to close . As my tips states, go into this place with this mindset: You get what you pay for. There isn't anything special about this place and I think the only reason people rave about it is because it's a "classy" Taco Bell. LITERALLY have heard this expression from people several times. The bad thing is, they don't nearly have the variety that Taco Bell offers...Sooo it's more like a nice building that serves Mexican food. All of the Taco Casas I have seen have a nice brick building so it does seem like a "classy" Taco Bell. They are in locations where there aren't many other food options around, such as by my work. I thoroughly enjoy Taco Casa. I used to go to Bueno 2-3 times a week in college, but I haven't been much at all in the past few years since I learned the wondrous ways of the House of Tacos. I usually go here because they have good food and service , how ever I went here at bridgewood location in Fort Worth Tx on March 30, 2019 I spent 38.18 I got 12 tacos , 12 pack bean burritos ,gallon sweet tea, and 2 unsweet teas in cup because my son and I are both diabetic well the unsweet tea turned out to be sweet tea also , even though I also asked for splenda not noticed till I got home !! So my son and I couldn't drink anything!! And the bean burritos were mostly cold cheese in fact all the burritos were cold and tasted nasty just a blob of cheese maybe 2 teaspoons beans on the cold shells!! And tacos were kinda ok but not really warm as usually are! I ask for hot sauce didn't get eve n enough for 1 per item or heck even half of them This was a big let down from usual service at this location I was there at 5.12 pm on a Saturday .it took a really long time to get thru drive thru i understand they were busy but the food and drinks yuck. read more
