    Whataburger Breakfast Burger
    Mary B.

This was a delivery order. The Breakfast On A Bun burger is everything you want for breakfast in a sandwich. I mean everything, a burger patty, a slice of melted American Cheese, crispy hash brown sticks, bacon, fried egg along with a creamy pepper sauce. All encompassed in between a delicious Brioche Bun. Everything you want for breakfast, and more held together in the palm of your hand. This master creation of What-A-Burger's, is a sight to behold, and even better when you eat it.

    Short slow line.

Another what a burger poor service story. How many times can one franchise have such poor reviews. 20 minutes in line and I'm still not up to the window to get my food. And can't get out of line. Why can't they learn how to deliver "Fast Food".

Tony Bell partner with Whataburger... reminded me of my friend... he came into my thoughts while I was on vacation LOL... go figure!

Per Google, "Whataburger is a Texas institution! Beloved by so many, that it was declared our stately equivalent of a national treasure, a Texas Treasure, by the 77th Texas Legislature." Wow... what an amazing fact! Since I've been in Texas for the last several days, I've been wanting to try out Whataburger (Wab). Even though I just had lunch at Rice Pot Express with my co-worker, I took advantage of my presence and checked out Wab LOL. When I walked up to the counter, I didn't know what to expect because a burger is usually made of beef. Well, I stopped eating beef in the year my dad passed away back in 2018. I haven't resumed beef consumption since and I don't plan to start now. Anyway, I was very happy to see they have chicken sandwiches so that's what I got... a grilled chicken sandwich. Besides the sandwich, I wanted to try their shakes. I was hesitant on the white chocolate raspberry shake because white chocolate is usually sweeter than non-white chocolate. However, the gentleman who took my order assured me that he'll make it not too sweet. I said okay and he did good... it had the perfect sweetness! Thank you sir! After I got my order, I wanted to at least get a taste of the chicken sandwich while it's fresh. So I took a bite out of it and it was so good I ended up eating the whole thing LOL. So much for saving it for later LOL. By the way, what's up with the loose lettuce? It's a pet peeve of mine... I don't care for loose lettuce in my sandwich. I'll still eat it though... don't want to waste food. I just prefer the whole leaf lettuce... it's less messier IMHO. That's why I like Jack-In-The-Box, they use the whole leaf lettuce. Staff was very friendly and nice. Prices were okay. Restaurant was clean and bright. It was quite spacious on the inside. I really liked the bright orange color. Love the non-burger options and shakes/malts! When you're ready to come over to CA, we will welcome you with open arms Whataburger! Until then, Happy Whataburger'ing in Texas!

Anywhere you go in Texas you will usually pass a Whataburger. As with every food purveyor these days, issues can and do arrive at this Texas institution. However,it's been my experience it's never a deal breaker. After a dedicated decades long love affair with my favorite fast food I'm happy to say they all: Have the same great tasting Hamburger Efficient service Astonishing value Fresh made to order ingredients Go!

Decided to order a large whataburger order for my dental office through this location! Cannot say anything could've been better! Everything came nicely packed and labeled and was fresh ! They even delivered it to me ! Definitely will order lunch in from this location again !

As a lifelong Texan, there's no comparison for me in the Whataburger vs. In-n-Out battle. So many late night visits for breakfast taquitos in Dallas, Lubbock, and of course, Frisco over the years. Perhaps my favorite onion rings of any burger place. And for me, the order is always the same...#2, add cheese and jalapeños, hold the tomatoes. Best fast food burger in my opinion. I'm not a big ketchup person, but their spicy ketchup pairs nicely with the rings. I hear they now have a location in Colorado Springs, so perhaps we'll stop by when in the area.

Maybe I don't eat enough burgers to know the difference, but my fully loaded burger was juicy, delicious, and just perfect. I also love their tater tots -- crispy and tasty every time. The only small downside is that when I order to-go, they never include ketchup, and I don't usually have any at home -- so my poor tater tots go without! Still, the food itself totally makes up for it. Definitely worth trying!

When I…read morearrived, there was only one other customer in the place, which gave me plenty of choices in terms of where to sit. But first, I went to the counter to order my burger and fries from the friendly cashier. I also ordered an orange-cream soda fountain drink, one flavor among the pure-cane-sugar drinks they offer. No high fructose corn syrup here. The burger was actually much better than I expected. I thought it was quite delicious, and the ingredients were quite fresh. The portion size was good, too. The fries were good, but they weren't the standouts in this meal. The burger and the orange-cream soda were more memorable. Although the place was very clean, and I was sitting indoors, where there are lots of tables and bar seating, there was one aggravation: aggressive fruit flies that have no fear of humans, so it was nearly impossible to swat them away. Thankfully, they were not mosquitoes, but it was impossible to keep them from crawling on my cup and food no matter where I sat in the large dining room room. Although the burger was good, prices are probably a bit high for what you get. That together with the fruit flies resulted in my three-star rating. If you can find a day when the flies are calmer, and you're not paying out-of-pocket (as was the case when I went), it might be worth a try if you are needing a quick meal within walking distance of your hotel.

Sorry for memory lapse) listened well and made suggestions accordingly. Actually, all the staff were friendly & outgoing. We had the egg roll appetizer and scooped up every bit of sauce - was excellent and looked pretty too! That reminds me that the current menu is a fair bit different from several I saw posted in the photos - whether they've streamlined or change it seasonally, not sure, but what we had was top-notch. Also had a couple of Pineapple-tini's, not terribly sweet, would certainly drink again. Shared an oven roasted chicken - would have eaten the entire thing myself given a few spare seconds. Crispy, not overcooked, garlicky potatoes, spinach just cooked and seasoned well, my mouth is watering thinking about it again. Saved room for Bananas Foster bread pudding and again, well-done! I will usually try the bread pudding - searching for the world's best, I guess... Anyway, this one hits right - addition of bananas and some sugared pecans along with a caramel syrup made the flavorful bread pudding base stand out well. Definitely going back, looking forward to trying more dishes. Also, having a patio at the Star is nice, and their interior is cool & casually swank as well. Really thrilled to have another really good casual eatery there.

I ate the popper, lb&j, and the cowboy, which I love (ate the smokehouse in the past and that's also a top choice). The Cowboys pimento cheese was just the right amount of cheese for the slider and the jalapeno cilantro aioli was an outstanding addition to it. The PB&J - I'm a sucker for jam in a burger and the blackberry jam was refreshing and cool and paired great with the bacon in the peanut butter while still complimenting the meat. The Popper had a lot of rosemary lime aioli which was delicious to bite into. I've been here several times and narrowed down to my favorite 4. The sides (waffle fries, extra sugary drinks, onion rings) could be improved but while the sliders are pricy, they leave a great impression. The service is also very kind to lete grab a lot more ketchup packs and you do feel the "butcher" vibes in the food when you're eating.

Cowboy - Beef, pimento cheese, crispy onion straws, jalapeño cilantro aioli - DELICIOUS. the pimento cheese was the star of the show and made the slider taste extra good 2. Smokehouse - Beef, smoked brisket, Cheddar, pickled red onion, house BBQ sauce, rosemary lime aioli - I enjoyed this the only downside was the brisket was dry and made me so thankful for the drink that came with my meal. 3. Popper - Beef, fried jalapeño & cream cheese, pepper jam, bacon, cilantro, rosemary lime aioli - DID NOT ENJOY. Unfortunately the jam that this burgie came with just overpowered the whole thing and not in a good way. It did not mesh with the rest of the ingredients and the popper had no flavor or filling. It just flattened when I took a bite and I got nothing but a mouthful of that terrible jam. The waffle fries were ok just nothing special. The onion rings though....OMG so crisp, so fresh, so flavorful. Would just come back for those. Service was fine, we were the only people waiting to order so it was quick.
