Chicken Wrap: I got the fried chicken wrap, but you could also get it grilled for a healthier version. This tasted like a regular chicken wrap salad, but I enjoyed the blend, and it had a good enough amount of meat! This is great for those who don't want the meal to be too heavy. Club sandwich: this was on the heavier side because both sides of the sandwich were made from Texas toast, but the toast was so good!! I am sad to write this review, I absolutely loved Laynes, and always thought their sauce and fingers were superior to canes. Unfortunately the portions have become so stingy that I no longer go there. The chicken fingers are no longer chicken fingers at all, they are closer to nuggets. Basically they have cut the chicken fingers in half, and doubled their prices. To try and hide the smaller portions they have actually cut their containers in half hoping that no one would notice. Service at this location was always good, but dropped off in the last year or so. Can't say much on ambiance, I have never been inside. Unfortunately this seems like a failed expansion of the franchise overall(originally a single location near Texas A&M) as I have seen the same decline at other locations. It is unlikely I will ever be back, I have given Laynes several second chances, just hoping it was a temporary issue, but I will likely never be back. read more
