The food is decent. The service is the absolute worst. The owner is more concerned with quantity versus quality. On several occasions I have been through the drive through with both lanes open only to find out after ordering that they are chilled down to one lane due to a lack of employees working. I normally like Whataburger. This is not one of them. They got our order wrong and burnt the onion rings. When I took them back, they gave me a new batch of burnt onion rings. The quality of the food is well below par. My wife and daughter went to restroom... No toilet paper or paper towels. When she finally got someone to listen, they gave her toilet paper and did not replace paper towels. The lady next to us was also complaining about service and restrooms. I thought that as a born and raised Texan, never a disparaging word about Whataburger would ever come out of my mouth. This location has succeeded in changing that over the past couple of years and reached the point of me completely swearing to never eat at ANY Whataburger ever again, after my most recent experience. The build-up over the past couple of years included slow drive-thru service, incorrect orders and cold\tasteless burgers and fries an inordinate number of times (See other reviews, also). But here's the straw that broke my back. Granted, it was a fairly busy Friday evening at 6:20 pm when I arrived, but there were only maybe 4 cars in each lane that had already placed their orders, but only 1 car in front of me waiting to place their order at the ordering kiosk in the outer drive-thru lane. It took 25 minutes before I was able to even place my order - 2 double-meat cheese (one all the way and one with extra tomatoes and pickles) and a large order of fries. That was a long wait just to order, but once you're in line and someone is behind you, you are committed - no matter what. An employee did come out pretty quickly once my order was placed to take my money. He told me that it would be a long wait - well duh - it had already been 25 minutes, but no mention of that. The cars in front of us started getting their orders, but I noticed on every one, the employee would bring the orders out, but each time had to go back into the store to get drinks. Hmm - I think they could have brought out the drinks in the 25 minutes or so that people had already been waiting, but apparently not. After 15 more minutes there was only 1 car in front of us waiting for their order. The line employee came out with some food and headed to that car. But it was not their order - so then he headed to our car. Yes it was our order - but all we could do was sit in our car with our food getting cold. The employee, reminded me that when he took my money he had told me it was going to be along wait - like it was my own fault for coming and ordering despite his earlier warning. Another 4 minutes or so and they brought food to the car in front of us - yes! Oh but he had not brought their drinks - so back into the store he went and then emerged after another 2-3 minutes with their drinks. Ok - well at least we can finally go home (3-4 minute drive). But we had spent over 45 minutes at Whataburger to finally get to this point. Ravenous after the ordeal, we were willing to put this excruciating event behind us and dive into our burgers. I was in another room as my wife opened our burgers. I hear screams of "Oh, my goodness. OMG!" I come into the kitchen and my wife asks if I want to see our burgers. See my attached picture. Yes, our DOUBLE MEAT cheeseburgers - both of them - HAD NO MEAT ON THEM. Breakfast hash browns were used instead of meat. These were not Whataburgers - they were WTF burgers. Looking at our receipt, we noticed that whomever took our order had keyed "NO MEAT" on each of our burgers (see attached). Not sure why anyone would ever choose to order and pay for an expensive double meat cheeseburger and then say, "Oh, by the way, I don't want any meat on these double-meat burgers, but please charge me the full double meat price." Needless to say we had to make alternate dinner plans. When my wife called the store to alert the manager, he did apologize and said he would replace our meal at no charge the next time we came in. What do you mean no charge? We already paid for this disaster. She had to push him to say we could order extra stuff beyond our original order. Honestly - I will not be getting anything from this or any Whataburger ever again, but maybe our grandson can take advantage of our misfortune sometime.
