On 11/30/2022, I visited the whataburger on 3636 N Main in Houston, Texas. I ordered a cobb salad, ranch dressing and whatachicken. What i received was a cobb salad with no carrots, bacon or cheese. I received lettuce, tomatoes, chicken and egg. I'm not going to make this a long post. It took 15 to 20 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I got to the window. I have posted this review on facebook with pictures of the salad i received and my receipt. I also posted a picture of the cobb salad on the website. So bummed! I moved to Houston two years ago and had my first Whataburger--I loved it because it was packed with avocado slices. I hadn't had it since then, so I ordered it again the other day. I was so disappointed to arrive home and see that there was a teaspoon-sized glob of some sort of guacamole situation on the burger. If Whataburger has changed their avocado slices to a tiny bit of mashed avocado/guacamole, they shouldn't continue to claim that it's avocado you're paying for. Awful service and ridiculously slow! This location is pathetic. If I could give "0" stars I would. I should have known something was up when the employee who took my order in the drive-through could not get it right. I ordered a combo number two with ketchup. This is something I order frequently so I am familiar with the price. However this location wanted to charge me way too much. By the time I went to the window and explained I only wanted a combo number two which is not nine dollars I finally got someone who could figure out how to charge me correctly. Then it was time to pay. Round two of drama began. I decided to pay with a debit card,big mistake. After them having my card for six minutes, I blew my horn and asked what was the problem. I was told that they were having problems with their card reader machine. By that point I told them to give me my card back here's your food back, I am ready to go. What I dealt with today was absolutely outrageous ! I was beyond nervous because several people had taken my card and yet none of the employees including the manager could figure out how to get the card reader machine to work. The food is always good, but this morning the service was terrible. When I first got to the drive thru, someone came on the speaker and told me they'd be with me shortly. Five minutes go by when I finally said, "hello?" at which time they took my order - 2 taquitos, 2 hash browns, 1 Diet Coke. When I got to the window, the woman confirms the order - and it's the wrong one. I correct her, and she goes about her business. From that point, it took them 12 minutes to get me my food. When I got back to my office, it was the wrong order. 1 taquito, 1 hash brown and a breakfast sandwich. They were not busy at ALL. Usually there's a huge line in the mornings, but today I was only the second car in two lines. No excuse for taking this amount of time. :( read more

I never thought I would actually eat at Whataburger's dining room. After reading every review, just glad that I didn't wait in the drive-thru line. I was in the area (kind of lost my way to enter the freeway ramp). I wanted something to eat before hop on the freeway. Then, I saw a long line at the nearby McDonald's and I said, "no way". As I drove away, I saw this giant orange sign flirting at me across the street. Lucky me, my GPS guided me to here. I couldn't believe I was actually in The Heights. I always scared of driving in Heights because so many one way streets. Pulling up in the tiny parking lot and walked into this tiny restaurant. There isn't many people this late lunch hour. I got served rather quickly and surprised with how fast my food delivered. The staff was definitely friendlier than the one near my house. Although I don't come here often, I wouldn't mind to stop by again next time I'm at this intersection. read more

I'm going to qualify this review by saying that I am not comparing Whataburger to all of the incredible restaurants that we have here in Houston. I'm not even comparing Whataburger to other burger joints in town. I'm comparing Whataburger to other fast food joints like McDonald's, Burger King, Jack in the Box, Wendy's, etc. I stopped by this location before a concert at White Oak. Located in The Heights, it's only a few minutes away from the venue and I was looking for a quick meal. Whataburger is a Texas institution and they do a lot of things right unlike a lot of other fast food restaurants. The restaurant is usually pretty clean which can't be said of a lot of other places. I went to a Jack in the Box the other day and it was filthy. They also bring your food to you which is unusual for fast food but it's a nice touch. They even bring napkins and condiments to you including their homemade ketchup. Third, they have a lot of notable items! Beyond the burgers, which are solid for fast food, their honey butter chicken biscuit and their BBQ chicken tender sandwich on Texas toast can't be beaten! Their chicken strips aren't too shabby either. Whenever I hit up fast food, which isn't often, Whataburger and Chick-fil-a are at the top of my list. read more

This Whataburger is always poppin and the many times Ive been theyve only gotten things wrong a handful of times. Most of the time the food is hot and delicious and I have complicated orders and they get all the customizations correct. Theyre always very nice too even when theyre super busy!! Worst Whataburger I've ever been to. I've never been there and it take less than 30 minutes to order and get my food (and normally it's 45). Even if it's not busy. Sometimes the fries are even cold when I get them and never really salted either. They are INCREDIBLY disorganized and inefficient and most of the time if I go inside people aren't even really working. If it weren't the only WB within 10 miles I'd never go at all. I don't have a Whataburger where I live so when I came to Houston I was excited to get to eat here. The order taker was super nice and friendly. When he learned it was our first he gave us free shakes for the kids. The burger was really tasty and my daughter loved the fries and she's picky about her fries! Restaurant was clean and tidy and everyone working was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend coming here for a quick burger. read more

Finally can say I have tried Whataburger! While it's nice to cross it off of my list, I wish it didn't take almost two hours to do so. I came here for breakfast this morning and had an amazing service experience. We were drawn in by the teacher appreciation week breakfast. (Whataburgers in general are amazing at celebrating teachers every year during teacher appreciation week, by the way. I have received free Whataburger swag and meals for the past several years.) There was no wait inside and Willie took our order. He was extremely friendly and engaging. He even thanked me on my way out the door for being an educator. I hate that this is my only option since I work nearby, because it's run by idiots. Every time I go through the drive thru it's drama. Today I pulled up to the speaker and they didn't take my order but instead told me to pull around.
