I just had an absolutely disappointing experience at the Whataburger on Chastain Road. There was no one in the restaurant and we were the only car in the drive-through, yet somehow it still took nearly 20 minutes to get one burger and an iced coffee. That alone is unacceptable--but it gets worse. While our order sat getting cold in the window, multiple employees were casually walking around, laughing and goofing off, completely ignoring the fact that customers were waiting. We even honked the horn to get someone's attention, only to be blatantly ignored. When someone finally decided to approach the window, they had the nerve to ask if we had paid--as if that wasn't the only part of the process that was handled promptly. It felt like a slap in the face. The disorganization and lack of professionalism were astonishing. It's truly sad to see how far this location has fallen. When it first opened, lines were wrapped around the block. Now, it's deserted--and after this experience, it's clear why. Unless there's a complete overhaul of the staff and management, this place will keep circling the drain. Do better. read more

Don't do it y'all waited in drive through for an hour!! First time I came wasn't do bad. This time they have people lined up in front of drive through waiting on items. Like they're not even telling folks to pull into a spot to wait. Therefore, drove through backed up. Even if yo just your food from window you can't leave cause they have all the people waiting in items drive up a little and wait. It's complete dumb dumb logic. I paid through the app and selected drive through. I thing it would work like Chick Fil A. Which still has its issues but overall they have systems in place. read more

My husband spoke with who I assume was the owner, and she explained that they don't typically sell all flats because it leaves them with too many drums--which is understandable. The tables were filthy, and we had to ask for ours to be cleaned before we could even sit down. To make matters worse, most of the fountain drinks were out. I settled for fruit punch, which unfortunately wasn't good. My husband and son received their meals, and overall, the food was just average at best. Between the unavailable menu items, miscommunication, cleanliness issues, and overall quality, this experience fell short of expectations. We will not be returning.
