Finally a Dave's in Kennesaw! The Reaper is HOT. My husband and I are fans of spicy food, being from the Subcontinent, but we could barely handle the Reaper tender. I didn't bother touching it, while my husband sweated through the entire meal. He's the guy that eats Buldak noodles as a snack! The Extra hot tender was spicy, but manageable and still tasty. The place was clean. The staff was very helpful in explaining all the selections being that it was our first time. It's a chicken spot with different levels of hot I didn't get hot. First time to try Dave's Hot Chicken and was not disappointed! I tried the mild while my husband went for the hot and one extra hot tender. It was amazingly delicious We tried it with the Dave's sauce, honey and pickle on top. This was one of the best chicken tender I believe I have ever had! My husband tried the slider and said he really liked the kale slaw on it. The fries stayed crispy the entire time. It was so good! We said we would try the medium next time because I wanted heat and while he enjoyed his heat, said he would like to try medium just to enjoy it. Back in my hometown, we have a Dave's hot chicken so I was really excited to try this. Though it was good and flavorful I do think the quality of the food can be a little enhanced. I definitely want to give them more grace because we went when they had recently opened I believe it was that same week. Therefore, I still do think that you should try it, especially now. With the crowd and the popularity of everyone wanting to try the place, I do believe the service overall was solid and the restaurant was also very clean. Dave's in Kennesaw has the best staff. Constantly asking if we need more sauce or napkins. Everyone was very attentive. The food came out hot and on point. I ordered the tender mild and the sandwich medium. I added some honey and was in Heaven. My companions ordered the same thing and enjoyed theirs as well. The restaurant was very clean and a staff was walking around with wipes for the tables when people were leaving. Whomever owns this franchise should be proud. We usually go to Dave's Hot over in Sandy Springs but was excited to see this one in Cobb County off Cobb Pkwy where the Whole Foods is. I like this location better as the space is more open and you have room to order inside. The food was good as usual and the service as well. We went with the sauced chicken bites so good! Ordered everything on the kiosk. No big deal. At the end of the order, I was promoted to leave a tip, which started at 15% and was around 25% for the last option. Then, I was told by the employees my name would pop up on the screen and to sit down and wait. 20 minutes pass, and my food finally appears to be ready on the screen, so I go up to the counter and they tell me it's not ready yet. So I wait another 5 minutes. 25 minutes total wait time for some chicken fingers for 2 people, and it cost $35. My order was wrong. And I was expected to tip when no service was provided! This place is amazing! It was really crowded when we came in but they handled the line efficiently and the food came out fairly quickly. I got the Hot on 2 sliders. It was very spicy. Comparable to medium at a good Thai restaurant. The seasoning was not just hot it had a great flavor. The staff were keeping the place clean as people were leaving and more kept coming. There was not enough seating because large tables were taken by small groups, the manager had a table larger table full of papers and backpack. Our total was $90. Out of the 5 meals we ordered not one was eaten entirely. The fries were very plain, the chicken had a funky flavor. Their sauce tasted mostly like very blah mayo. The chicken was so bad no one wanted to take it to go even after the crazy cost. $90 for bad fast food in a nutshell.
