Sometimes they are amazingly delicious, but today uneatable, fries were ice cold and hard! Did not get the hamburger that I ordered, and it too was cold due to being cooked prior to order! You just never know what you'll get from this store read more

I used to go to this location a couple of times a week for lunch. For the last couple of month they have closed the lobby and are only opening the drive thru. What I don't understand is why they don't put a sign on the door that the lobby is closed? Again, as I waited in the drive thru, I saw several people walk to the door and then look in the window to see if it is open. When I drove by I verified that there is no sign. I know that they probably can't get employees but a little courtesy seems like it would be a small thing. Now my hamburger was also made wrong and I got a regular drink instead of diet, so they have a little ways to go on the drive thru orders also. read more

First, I grew up up in Texas and have been going to Whataburger for 44! Years. I always request one of the 4 oz side cup of mayonnaise filled up. Nothing else on my burger but cheese. I ate at the one in Denton, Texas EVERYDAY in college alone and at least 3-4 times a week now. I have spent undoubtedly thousands of dollars over those years. The new manager, Michelle now says new ownership of whataburger will no longer allow her to do do the mayo and will only give me about a half teaspoon of it. Let's be clear: I have offered over and over I am happy to PAY for it or even and entire other burger! Nope, there is nothing that can be done according to Michelle. I have asked her to contact the corporate office to ask if they can find a way to charge me for it but she's apparently too lazy and completely devoid of any sort of customer satisfaction assurance. She would rather argue and yell at me than to try to remedy the situation. Last Friday I asked an employee to put more mayo in the cup. He took it back inside and Michelle charged out, THREW the same mayo at me through my driver's side window and yelled "You're NOT getting any more!". Really? It's just freaking mayonnaise! Unbelievable aggressive, unhinged and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior from someone who is supposed to set an example for her employees. She also yells at the employees who take my order and makes sure that they know not to give me extra mayo. NO amount of money can apparently buy this mayonnaise. I have explained I am a 44 year customer I just like a lot of mayo. I have contacted the corporate office and will update my review one they get back to me regarding a solution and equally importantly, addressing the ridiculous behavior of this woman. read more

Waited at the window for a couple minutes with no response so waited behind a few cars to pull up to the window and instead of taking my order there, told me to pull around again to place the order and someone would answer this time. I'm not pulling around when I just waited 10 minutes and would have to wait at least another 10. Maybe try having more attentive staff and accommodating your customers for your mistakes. read more

Kudos to this location. I came here about a week or so ago and back again today. Both visits the restaurant is exceptionally clean. The place is packed with employees taking care of business. Employees upfront taking orders both visits were very pleasant. I've been to other Whataburger locations throughout the valley and this one is by far the cleanest and most pleasant to visit. I gave you five stars because I really don't see a reason to only get four. Great job people! read more

This place should be closed due to the horrible reviews. It needs new management especially for 2nd and 3rd shifts. 3rd shift manager served old rotten lettuce on the Whatachicken and gave the excuse that the chicken was so hot it welted the lettuce. Like WTH you consider this fresh lettuce that got this way from fresh cooked chicken, really? See the photos for yourself. I wouldn't send anyone to this location giving Whataburger a bad name. I went through the drive thru, the sign says whata meal is $8.69, I added cheese.55 that is $9.24, I ordered 2 meals, I'm thinking around $20, she says $25.18 at the window, I'm thinking that's not right, she says oh the tax i said no way that's like $5.00 tax. After arguing with her she says oh it's actually $10.99 plus .55 for cheese I said the sign says $8.69. Oh we forgot to change the sign, I was very upset, so the manager refunded half my money back. That is bait & switch that is illegal. Today I saw on the neighborhood app that lots of people have been complaining about this same Whataburger in 91 st & Bell. Stopped in to the 89th and Bell Whataburger after I had my motorcycle serviced nearby. Everyone seemed very happy-greeted me when I came in, was pleasant when I ordered and very nice when the server brought me my order. When I was about to receive my order I asked for a second jalapeño ranch. The young lady told me it would be another 38 cents. I didn't want to run my card for that and said never mind. When I got home to enjoy my delicious fries, I had 0 jalapeño ranches. This is absolutely ridiculous, I am an American and need ranch to eat my fries! I have to say....I am becoming a huge fan of Whataburger. Sure, its a little bit expensive for "fast food", but in the end its worth it. They cook everything fresh, their burgers are always juicy and huge, their fries are always salted well, they have spicy ketchup!, and I recently found out that they have a secret weapon....its on their breakfast menu.... the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. Wow! A freshly fried crunchy chicken strip nestled inside a freshly baked buttery, soft biscuit and then they drizzle this thing with their honey butter mixture. WOW! Possibly the best breakfast biscuit sandwich out there (Chick Fil-A is good, but this one here is a notch above that) right now! They are only like $2.29 too, which is not bad at all. The last two times I've been to this location I have been impressed with the woman who brings the food out to cars. It is so hot outside and life is stressful right now which I'm sure makes her job harder. She has a great attitude and is always so kind no matter how hard she has to work or how hot it is. I was compelled to write this review because she needs appreciation. After the treatment we were just given this place isn't even worth one star. After my husband and I went here yesterday and were charged extra for cheese neither burger had any. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger so how they messed that up I'll never understand. Being its a trip back my husband called and the manager said not to worry come back within the next three days and they would replace the order. After a busy day at work we decided to just do the easy thing and go back and redeem our replacement order. Not only did the manager Mandi argue with my husband about who he talked to yesterday she claimed her was lying about our food missing cheese. The manager my husband had spoke to yesterday asked us to take pictures which we did and my husband showed this so called manager Mandi. After being very short with my husband and walking back inside we waited and I was speaking with my husband from inside our vehicle. After a little time we noticed the drive through attendee would not stop staring us down. I finally asked if there was a problem because after this so called manager Mandi treating my husband like he was trying to steal food now this employee staring us down like we were criminals I had reached my breaking point. The attendee made a hand gesture to me like she was flipping me off but I just thought to myself okay this is clearly how this manager Mandi has taught her employees to treat their customers. I figured we would just take it up with the General Manager who we had already planned to call tomorrow. You'd think it would end there and the manager would have came out had replaced the part of the order she was willing to replace but nope. About 5 minutes I had got the hand gesture from the drive thur attendee, she decides to go in and tell her manager I cursed her out. I never cursed her out I asked if there was a problem because she felt the need to stare us down after her manager made us feel like we were criminals for doing what the manager from the day before told us to do because the employees couldn't make our food correctly. The manager then comes out and starts yelling at us and refuses to give us any food or even our receipt back that she has taken from my husband when we first got there and told us she was calling the police. After trying for thirty minutes of waiting for the police (never came) we called and askedfor her to give us back our receipt and this so called manager Mandi acting like an immature child telling us we can get our receipt when the police decide to come, so we just left. My husband will be talking to her boss and going through the proper channels but be aware guys this is how this location treats their customers when they mess up their food. Never had we ever recieved this type of treatment from a fast food place. We will for sure not be spending another dime at this place. read more

Just got home after an ABSOLUTE LET DOWN OF AN EXPERIENCE. First off we waited on our food for at least 10-15 minutes only to be given cold onion rings and rock hard chicken bites. The burger was not any more impressive then the rest of the food. I'm absolutely shocked by how the manager responded when I called to inform her that I wasn't even home yet and my food was cold and disgusting; to which I was told to bring my food back, even if it was tomorrow, how can you take food back during a PANDEMIC?! how is the an actual policy? So much confusion as to how they even messed up the order in the first place there was at least a dozen staff members in that building. you would think they could manage to get the food HOT and out in a timely manner. Customer service when dealing with the issue was as piss poor as the food. What a waste of time and $20. I'm holding onto the rocks of chicken for when I call a different manager tomorrow morning. This review is literally 15 minutes after getting my food and driving home to open my meal. First of all this is an open carry state there was no sign stating no firearms allowed or no ARS codes and regulations that were posted. Gentleman who I believe was the manager because he was the only one wearing a different color shirt (grey)name was Elijah Curtis according to receipt very tall man with tattoos on both arms asked me to cover up my firearm because we can't open carry OK so you want me to conceal carry??? Anyways I politely said "oh I'm sorry did you guys have a sign that I missed?"he rudely responded " we don't have to I can give you the card if you want it we don't have to have a sign" I said okay I'm sorry I complied with what the gentleman asked and covered up my firearm. After ordering a number one and a number two with no onions again I repeated both no onions I waited for my food. I kept seeing one of the ladies look back at me so had an odd feeling something was being done.. I ignored it , waited Keep in mind I am the only one in the lobby at this time the same gentleman came out to bring me my food looked me dead in my eye and told me "enjoy" after driving eight minutes home I realized my order is completely wrong they gave me two number ones both with onions even though they stamped it with no onions on top of the burger my fries were completely cold the only thing that was OK was the soda and that was because I poured it myself sad thing is I can't even complain because the gentleman was most likely the manager and when I did call there was no answer at the location which is why I am leaving this post HE completely ruined my experience with Whataburger. read more

Delicious burger and fries!!! I love that they have spicy ketchup along with regular ketchup! It's delicious. The workers are very helpful - not too 'friendly' but I personally don't need staff to be overwhelmingly "fake" friendly. I was very satisfied with my meal. We went to Whataburger on 89th and Bell, we have been to this location before and the service was so-so, definitely not something to write about. I was very impressed how they treated our situation.
