I moved away from Texas literally one year ago. So I was so excited to eat at whataburger while I was in town. And this was the worst by far. This place took the order, and didn't compute. I asked for a SIDE of mayo, I like to dip my fries! Of the 30+ other whataburgers across the south, this is never a problem. Well this WB forgot or didn't understand. Then I order a dr.p. And somehow went home with a sweet tea. The avocado bacon burger was my all time favorite. But this one was dry, one lump of avocado in the middle, and just disgusting. But my dogs enjoyed it. Fries were okay. Really salty. I drove north to the Arkansas rest area, so I could eat and exercise my dogs. That is when I noticed the problems. Those guys are getting paid by the hour, it's ridiculous that the customer should have to not pick the order to confirm its contents. Doesn't this place have some type of assembly line to prevent this from happening? I'm sure this million dollar idea is not unheard of. Well then, get your shit together, get it all together and put it in a back pack, all your shit, so its together..... And if you gotta take it some where, take it somewhere, you know? take it to the shit store and sell it, or put it in the shit museum. I don't care what you do, you just gotta get it together..... I love Whataburger but I will not visit this one again. The food was ok and typical of other Whataburger restaurants and would earn 4 stars but the service was terrible. We walked in at 7:30 for breakfast and had to wait a while for the cashier to finish a personal call on her cell phone before we could order. Zero personality from the staff made us feel very unwelcome. The final turn off was the profanity coming from the kitchen staff that could be heard throughout the restaurant. Why does it take entirely to long to receive your food thru the drive through? I'm just not understanding. I ordered late Wednesday night and while it was somewhat warm the fries were fresh but the sandwich put out of the wrapper looked like I had sat on it and the sweet tea was never sweet and barely tasted like tea. Upper management needs to step up and do something. I counted 5 works plus who ever was cooking to start off. From the time the front of my vehicle reached the window, where it stayed for over 5 min, it took a total of 28 min on a Saturday morning. 28 min!!! Unbelievable. Born and raised in Texas I have ate at whattaburger for years and this one in Texarkana is the worse iv ever had the food was bland and cold as if the patties had been sitting there I ordered mine plain with cheese I got no cheese with mustard it took a while to get my food and when I ordered it was around 11:30am and I was the only person line so if your hoping and looking for a good burger this whattaburger is not the one. read more

WORST WHATABURGER EVER!!! We sat in the drive through of this location for 20 minutes at a standstill - on a Sunday afternoon at 2:30p!!! We called into the Whataburger twice to see what was going on...and were hung up on TWICE!! We were trapped in the drive through for a total of 30 minutes before we could get out of the line. We are big fans of Whataburger. This one fell off the charts due to poor maintenance and possibly a holiday rush causing the facility to be, lets say unclean. The toilets were overflowing and a roto-rooter was stuck down the floor drain. Wet gooey floors. We should have left but our order was in. I assume some deviant flushed something down the toilet and stopped the whole system up. Getting a plumber out in Thanksgiving Eve may have been impossible. My first whataburger was in Oklahoma City when I was a junior in college. I have to say that this is one of the best fast food burger places in the country. In and Out burgers are the best. This one is supposed to be open 24 hours but I went a couple times around 3 am on Sunday or a weekday and they were closed which really pissed me off because I really wanted a Whataburger burger. However, the staff is pretty friendly here and they do try and keep the place relatively clean. It is probably faster to get a burger walking into the restaurant than going through the drive-through because there are a ton of cars in the drive late night. read more

Stopped in while driving through from Hot Springs back to Houston. Friendly service, pretty quick on the food. Some disorganization when bringing our orders to the table, but nothing too crazy. Moving back to Texas from Tennessee, first stop, Whataburger. Ordered for 5 people. It was a complicated order, and they nearly got it correct, but no hard feelings. Until they did put cheese on my daughters cheeseburger. Children are picky, and was looking forward to her old usual order. I went back to the front and informed them of the minor issue. The guy took the burger and went to the kitchen. Then came back out holding it. He then asked for my receipt and took both the burger and receipt to the back. Then he said the manager said it would be 45 cents since he didn't charge for it, even though I ordered it. I said okay, I'll get my 45 cents worth some other way. As he held the burger for about 5 minutes straight as all this took place, it was still warm enough for them to add the cheese and leave in the white wrapper. My order was then cold of course, but dads take care of their kids first. On another note, I am from Corpus Christi and am fully aware of what a real Whataburger restaurant is like. This location must be one of the franchises. Your best bet is to just drive a little further into Texas to get a real Whataburger. read more

Carl went out of his way a few different times for us, but it wasn't really going out of his way because he just did the little things while we was doing other little things. The fountain soda was awesome, I only mention because I know there are places that must have the fizz to syrup balance out of whack but Whataburger has it right on the money. This has to be the absolute worst whataburger I've ever been to. As soon as I walked in the smell of grease was overwhelming and I felt like I was about to slip on the disgusting floors. A peek into the kitchen confirmed what I was already thinking as there employees running around everywhere and they were scraping grease off of the disgusting grills. We were in the drive-thru for 30 minutes. Once we got to the window we were nearly given a different person's order. When we were finally free of the parking lot, the 2 burgers we ordered were both cold like they had been sitting on a counter for the entire 30 minutes we were sitting waiting (however, the cheese wasn't melted, so I suspect the burgers were never hot). The burger patty itself was crunchy and way overdone. The small coffee we ordered was Luke warm at best and served in the incorrect cup (normal small drink cup with normal cold drink lid). We've heard this place was something we had to stop at and that this burger joint was comparable to In N Out if you're from the west coast or 5 Guys if from the east coast. It delivered! This is the worst eating facility I have ever been to! I came in thinking I would order something, but the scenery changed my mind fast. The place was filled with FLIES! They were flying everywhere! Most of the staff was unfriendly (except the blonde girl who took my order). I saw one staffer drop a fry, pick it up, and did not wash her hands afterwards. She then continued and "delivered" customers' orders and shouted numbers. Her dirty hands were also touching the fries! Overall, she looked like she hated her job.
