What could you improve? Everything. Drive thru kid was rude, manager not any better. Seems like it's a hangout where they make mediocre food sometimes.. Grease was definitely BAD because it left a bad taste in your mouth. Hamburger completely cold Out of milkshake mix (told by manager that they had to wait til next shift so another manager could physically go retrieve some from somewhere) No apple pies because it would take seven minutes to make one. (That was a way to tell us they didn't want to make any) By that point we got the drift. Why would we wait?! Also, why is it you can make a grilled chicken SANDWICH, but can't put grilled chicken inside a tortilla!? The rude kid said it isn't allowed; but they CAN put fried chicken in a tortilla :/ Makes zero sense. Ambiance? The floors were flooded with water being mopped, looked messy in the kitchen and bins for food were all empty. And they're open 24 hours and it's only 9pm? Excellent service today in curbside pickup. I accidentally placed an order through the app at a different location. They figured out my mistake when my order could not be found in their system. Still, they offered to make my order so I would not have to drive the other location. Then they gave me an extra item at no charge for having to wait so long! When it was 100% my mistake! When I went to get a burger today the burger I got, under close examination, looked slimey. Almost as if they've spit or licked the bun before putting on mustard. It was disgusting. Ordered off of the app for curbside pickup. Got there when it said to and checked in on the app. Waited for 26 minutes before I gave up and called the store. They brought it right out. They said I should have walked in after five minutes and they had my food ready the whole time. Last I checked, you don't blame the customer for your own screw-up. And most people apologize for screwing it up. Not blame the customer. They also didn't get all of my order correct. Overall it was an okay experience. This was my first time eating at a Whataburger, and it almost made me not want to eat at another. The staff that helped us at the register was rather quiet and unwelcoming, she seemed like she was really uncomfortable working front of house. At 3:15 am I counted 8 employees at this location and literally just 1 (the pregnant one working the drive thru) was actually working. The others were standing around talking... I even heard one guy yell the "f bomb" as I sat at the drive thru window. My trip today was very frustrating first the line was taking forever I asked the window if they had apple pay and they said yes I arrive to the window and then apply pay did not work. They did proceed to tel me to order on the app and get my food that way. It then took then a lot 10 minutes to get the food out to my car. Lady working the drive thru this morning was super nice and professional. I can't say the same for the staff preparing the food, however. We ordered a lot of food so we checked our bag to ensure all the food we ordered was there. We were short one sandwich. When we told the lady working the drive thru, she asked the staff preparing the food for our missing sandwich and the lady in the back wouldn't prepare it! I had to count out the sandwiches and turn the bag over before she'd prepare the sandwich! We're not trying to get one over on Whataburger. I went to this restaurant on Friday 11/27/20. Upon pulling in the parking lot I noticed the drive thru was empty but there was a truck parked near the side entrance. Didn't really pay too much attention but pulled on in the drive thru to place my order. After waiting about 5 minutes a young lady named Aliya came to my vehicle and said to me that the line starts "back there". I don't hear good so I asked her to repeat what she said and she did. I then asked her "Don't we order at the drive thru?". She said again, "the line starts back there so you need to back up and get in line." I told her I would have to pull through and come back around as I couldn't see good to back up. She said Okay. I pulled around and there was already a car at the drive thru window so I had to wait to pull on around to get in the ordering "line". The truck that had been parked near the entrance door pulled up behind me and the man was hanging out of the window and yelling all kinds of obscenities at me as he thought I was trying to cut in line. He was calling me a "effing bitch" among all kinds of other things and shaking his fist at me. I am still very upset about this. The drive thru was clearly empty and I have never in all my 60 years been to a Whataburger that you don't order at the drive thru. How would ANYONE know the line was starting at the entrance door which is probably 3 car lengths from the drive thru speaker where YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO ORDER? Manager be aware that your idea of ordering elsewhere could have caused an incident had I responded to the idiot that was mad at me for pulling into the drive thru. I do plan to contact the corporate headquarters as well to see if they are aware of this NEW PRACTICE that the manager implemented. read more
