Great experience. One wheel wheel of my 15 yr old car had bad studs that got destroyed when I was doing some hobby work on the brakes. Got the car towed to the location with the wheel hanging on by one nut! Someone less scrupulous could have easily taken advantage of the situation by changing unnecessary parts (like the hub), etc. But these guys replaced all the studs over the weekend, charged the bare minimum necessary to get the job done and were a pleasure to deal with. The only time I went to the shop was to pick the car up. Vastly exceeded by expectations, hence giving them a great review. read more

Dear Management, You took my car in Saturday and your lift broke with my car 15 feet in the air. No one came out until Monday and you didn't get it repaired until Tuesday. You essentially held my car hostage IN THE AIR for 4 days. No one appeared to do anything and I was NOT getting updates until I called HQ. Service Rep was distant and unconcerned with the situation. Your people took my car without ensuring the parts were all there. This is what held up the job to begin with. People- I would suggest running, not walking away from thier awful awful service. Brought my other cars here before. Today I brought my BMW with gloss black rims. They scratched my rim and told me "can you come check it out before we work on it" this was already the start to more lies. I noticed my car was parked differently and they said "well we moved it and saw the scratch and put it back". Then the man later said "is the paint fresh? Because that's why we don't want to work on it". The paint is NOT fresh and I've had it for over 6 months. My suspicion is why would you let me drop off my car, leave it for over 3 hours then call and say come look at a scratch THEN say you don't want to work on it???? A few Sundays ago I took the kids Subaru Outback to Wheel Works for an alignment. They were the only shop open on Sundays. The guy at Wheel Works shows up 10 minutes late to open the store and he's in a bad mood. They proceed to do the alignment t and it costs $113.00. No big deal. Then he proceeds to tell me that both of the control arms are bad and that they need to be replaced. It's going to cost $1,002.02. He can order the parts today. Blah, blah, blah. I take the car back and didn't really feel great about the experience. I wanted a second opinion. This morning we take it to BIG O tires and they take a look at it. Seems the kid at Wheel Works is on commission and wanted us to spend the money there. BIG O tells me there's nothing wrong with the car besides the fact that it's a Subaru. :). Long story short, it pays to shop around. I highly discourage using Wheel Works. If you need something done with your car, go see Jim at BIG O. He just saved the kid $1,000.00. read more

Over the weekend my daughter's Mazda s6 had the check engine go on and we are going on a road trip. I immediately took the car in and Benny and his technician to determine the problem. Turns out it was associated with the gas cap not being tight enough. We were prepared to pay the diagnostic fee but he waived the fee due to the oversight on my daughter's part. They will only work on your car if it's a high paid job. I was in a pinch today, went by & spoke with Ben. My car had a screw in the tire. Ben didn't bother to come out to look at my vehicle and said they had no time to repair my tire today. Interestingly, I called back for a tire quote (it was a different person that I spoke with) and they had time install a new set of 4 tires TODAY. Unfortunately, they lost my business for any larger sales for my vehicles since they are unwilling to accommodate any other repairs that aren't worth their time or even to step out to take a quick look at your vehicle. I went to America's Tires in Dublin after that. They had someone standing on the curb to greet customers. Someone came out immediately and actually looked at the tire in question. Pulled the screw and it didn't even puncture my tire since it was a small screw. So off I went. I'll definitely remember America's Tires in Dublin next time I need a set of tires on my vehicles. read more

Happy with the service I received for my punctured tire. I brought my car in at 11AM, and everything was finished around 5pm. I also got an oil change and brakes maintained. We have been taking 4 cars to Wheel Works Dublin and before that Wheel Works Milpitas for at least 10 years. Wheel Works Dublin was consistently excellent when Armando and Benny were there. Since they left the service has gone down, down, down, down. Every time I go there a different person is in charge. The last time I went in, the latest manager went to the trouble of telling me he gets paid more than Armando did when Armando was there. I went to buy tires for my wife's car and another employee, I forget his name but he identified himself as the manager at that time, told me he could get me "cheap tires." I didn't ask for cheap tires so I don't know why he said that. I replied my wife drives that car I don't want cheap tires I want good tires on it. When I came back to pick up the car, that employee had his head down on the counter like he was asleep. When he picked his head up he complained about how hard his day had been. Anyway, a few weeks later I took my car in with my TPS light on. First WW called to tell me they fixed it. I picked up the car and the next day the same tire was low and the TPS light was on again. So I left the car overnight. WW called to tell me they could not fix the tire, I had to get a new one and the road hazard warranty would not cover it. I answered that didn't sound right, why don't you try again. So then somehow they managed to fix the tire at no cost. Great, but I had to leave the car off 3 times and I had no use of it for 2 days. Fortunately there is a Firestone near my workplace. Firestone accepts WW's lifetime alignment and tire warranties. I have gone there a few times now for both cars, spent about $2,000 between the two for tires and miscellaneous services the cars needed because they have 100,000 + miles. The Firestone service is good so far so that's where I will take the cars from now on. Also, WW Dublin used to be open Sundays but they no longer are and that is very inconvenient. I haven't returned to WW Dublin and I don't plan to go there again. From now on I will go to the Firestone in Pleasant Hill or I will try the WW San Ramon. read more

The great thing about Wheel Works is that you can get free flat repairs/rotations done if you purchased your tires there. The not so great thing is that it's the lowest thing on their list of things to do. If time is money to you or you need your car... just go to the local gas station and pay your $10-20. VISIT #1 Me: Hi, I've got a flat on the rear passenger tire. WW: Ok, no problem..let me just get your information.. Me: Do you know how long it will take? We just came here from another place b/c they were telling us it would take 4 hours. WW: Oh! No way! It will not take us that long, it shouldn't take anybody that long. Just run an errand and we'll give you a call 4.5 HOURS .. 3 ERRANDS.. 1 STARBUCKS RUN.. 10 MINUTES OF POUTING IN THE CAR and BACK HOME TIRED OF WAITING... they finally repaired the flat. Of course, they were only open for 10 more minutes so had to go back the next day. Nice people but 4.5 hours is too long for a 20 minute job...10 of which is to mount the tire back on the SUV. I'd feel a bit better if I went in and they were slammed on a Friday... but that wasn't the case. VISIT #2 - after 3.5 hours of having left my car there I get a call that they can't remove my tire because of my wheel lock. It's on the dash I tell him and he runs to check and comes back "oh..... right... " I guess my message when I dropped off the car wasn't good enough and placing it right in front of the driver wasn't either :( i give up! read more

If you use your car to get from point a to point b, and thats about it, this place is just fine. If on the other hand you are any of the following: you are a car person, you're detail oriented, you have wheels that cost $400 or more each, then this place might not be for you. I came here because tirerack recommended this place as a PLUS store, meaning they are rated highly. The price was right, so I decided to come. I have fairly expensive wheels, not super expensive wheels, I'd take those to my regular shop, these are close to $500/each. Anyhow, I was in a rush, and needed some tires mounted. I had the tires already, and decided to take a chance on this place. I dropped off the wheels and tires loose. The shop uses a "Coats 7050EX touchless rimclamp," at least according to the tirerack site. Not sure how you can clamp something, and not be touching it, but that is another story. I'm pretty sure this is a machine that extends 4 arms out and presses out on the inside of the barrel. These are 1" by 1" metal blocks w/ teeth that look like something that you'd use to tenderize meat. (Of course, I know this now after looking online.) I did a quick glace at the wheels, and they looked fine. Nothing major, and I was happy. The person behind the counter was very helpful and helped me load up the car. I get home, and I see along the inside of the wheel, tiny dings, probably from the rim clamp. I guess they can be described as tiny divots. If you have an iPhone5, you probably have larger dents in the aluminum ring around your phone. So they are not huge, and it won't affect the wheel, but I now know they are there. I've had other shops install w/o the divots, so they must use a different machine. I also now have 2 tiny 3/4" long dings along the edge of the lip (one on each wheel). Its not a huge deal, and you can't see it from more than 2' away, but I noticed when installing the wheels on the car. So again, if you don't wash your own car, if you see your car as an appliance, if you drive a prius, if you have steel wheels, this this place is probably just fine for you. read more

This place is awesome! I needed 4 new tires so I got a quote off Wheelworks.com for the Primewell tires and called Armando to see if he had them. He had them ordered and they were there the next day. They were able to take me as a walk-in and the wait was short considering they had to mount and balance 4 new tires and do an alignment. Four primewell tires and alignment for my Civic for a great price. The alignment was $20 off ($89.99) and comes with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. The tires came with a 40K mile warranty and they provide rotation at every 5000-6000 miles. The waiting room is clean and organized. I'd recommend this place to everyone! This is my goto location for tires and service for all of my cars. They are honest and curtious at the front end. Most of my experience has been with Armando and Benny. I do not recommend the Livermore or San Ramon locations. Livermore forgot to put the bolts back on my calipers. San Ramon didn't put a clamp on a new CV Boot. Because of those two incidents, I check all work that has completed. For the 10yrs I have been going to the Dublin location, I have had zero issues. I highly recommend them. read more

Went in for tire mounting everything went well. When getting the bill and keys back, they handed me a lugnut. There was no verbal mention of a stripped stud. I walked away thanking them for their service thinking everything was fine. I have no issue if the stud was stripped in process of putting on the new tires, but my issue is that they let me walk away knowing that one of the studs was stripped and did not have a lug nut secured on it. Safety. That's the biggest issue for me. It was documented on the paperwork, but it should have been addressed when handing me the keys back. There's auto parts store next door where I could have bought the necessary supplies and such. I would've even paid for another service to replace the stud with a new one that I would provide. Unfortunately, no one made this aware to me and I only found out after driving to work and looking over the paperwork. I'm extremely disappointed. I understand there is a high volume of cars and customers that come in for your service. But if your customers safety is not a primary concern, then this place is not for me. I paid for alignment as well which is now useless and a waste of $100. read more

Had to stop by last week Jan 2017 due to cracks in my tires and talked to Armando. He said he'll have his guys look into it and upon inspection, they discovered another crack in a 3rd tire that I didn't see. Anyways, he said he'll replace all 3 tires and actually would give me an upgrade to my old tires. At the end, I even didn't even have to pay for the labor either!! Just for your above average to excellent customer service, I'll always plan to have my tires purchased through your company and most likely any small minor repairs that might come up during an inspection! Finally I convinced my husband that it wasn't worth our car being there all day for an oil change to them wait another 30 minutes at the register to get our keys and pay while the guy at the counter answered phone call after phone call. These guys are awesome! Got a flat tire on 680 and was towed to this location. They quickly checked the tire and ordered what I needed. They told me my flat tire was still under warranty and adjusted the price accordingly. Both the manager and technician were super polite and helpful. I think I was there for about an hour. This review is for Ben and his team. I spoke to Ben over the phone regarding some noise that was coming from my suspension and felt comfortable enough to drop off my BMW for an inspection. He notified me of the problem after the diagnosis and was able to solve the problem by only tightening up some loose bolts on the sway bar links. He did not try to up sell me or anything like that. I have used them in the past for buying tires, batteries and other services and have always been pleased but my last experience was pretty disappointing and turns me away from coming back. I called and checked on an Interstate battery which they had to order and promised to call back with it in stock within 2 days. After several days and no call I call again am told the same thing. Again no word from them so I drive over there to check on it. They have no record of the order, the person says he promises to have it by the next day or he would drive and get it himself. I call back after two more days and they don't have it. They tell me it should be on tomorrows truck...Again I never hear back. Finally after 10 days and my truck is sitting dead in my driveway I call around and find the battery at Napa auto parts pick it up and install it with zero hassle. 2/8/20 - realized my wife's rear break lIght was out last night. Called wheel works in Dublin at 8am this morning and the service tech said no problem bring it in ( drop it off) we will call you soon as it's changed. It's now 3:30pm 8 hours later and they still have not changed the bulb. So this place just kept the car all day and didn't do anything. Warning - DO NOT let this place tell you to drop off the car. They will keep it all damn day. I went ahead and read the reviews and clearly this is an on going issue. I think we should be able to charge them a rental fee per hour for holding out vehicles. They also shouldn't accept cars they can't complete in a reasonable amount of time. This is 2020 and the service of this place is completely unacceptable. Long story short - picked up the car and having the oil change station replace bulb. Wheel works if you are listing please feel free to drop me a line at csenerote@hotmail.com and maybe explain why you had our car for 8 hours and couldn't change a bulb? Had a nail in my tire and took it into Wheel Works in Dublin. I ended up needing to get my tires replaced, and Mike was great at explaining why they needed to be replaced and what would happen if they weren't, based on my vehicle type. He talked me through the different tire and bundle deals so I could make an informed decision. My car was in and out of the shop quickly on a Sunday afternoon and the tires were very fairly priced. A month ago I brought my car to replace 4 tires without an appointments, the guy took care of my car in a same day. A week ago, I brought another car that had a warning light on the tire with an appointment. I asked the same guy to check the tire and rotation with wheel alignment which I paid for 'lifetime wheel alignment service' when I bought the tires before. Then, he said it may be done by 3 ~ 4 days later for Covid pandemic. So, I ask him to check if the tire has a flat on it and I will pick it up but he told me the same (3~4days). I tried to understand that maybe they are super busy. But I felt like he refused the service because these are all free services (flat tire, rotation with warranty and the life time wheel alignment I already paid). After that, I drove to Ameica's Tire in Dubiln and asked them to check the tire and rotation. I wasn't sure they were gonna do that because they seemed busy and it was the first time there. But they did it in 30minute even with no charge and they are super nice. read more

The guy at the front desk, where you buy tires is the reason I didn't end up buying from them. I ended up going to Big O Tires to buy a new tire because the guy at the front desk, an elderly Asian man, said I would need an appointment to buy the tire and have them install it onto the tire frame. People were infront of me in their books so I would need to wait an hour or more. Went to Big O Tires took ten minutes. I didn't need an appointment. With service like this, I am not surprised at their overall bad rating. read more

They're always really nice, helpful, and I never feel like I'm being scammed or getting subpar service as happens at many mechanics. Prices are very reasonable! My family has a lot of mechanics (but they don't live near me), and I trust this place :) I will say they tend to be super busy, so either make an early appointment or plan to drop off your car! read more
