Company should change its name to Wheels of Misfortune!! Despite a confirmed date with the agent for this company, driver was a NO SHOW! He didn't have the courtesy of contacting me to say he wasn't coming. Had to cancel plane reservation and incur extra costs. If you want to use this company, you can roll the dice, but I found them to be unreliable and unprofessional. read more

[See my previous review for the beginning of this story, you are in the middle right now] So after Stan reviewed the photos of my vehicle, he called me back and said he would pay to have the paint touched up at a body shop of his choice. I agreed. The body shop he picked was in Queens, NY, which is no where near where I live, but since he was willing to have the car fixed professionally, I figured it was worth the drive out there, the taxi ride to the train, the train ride to my area, and the taxi back to my house. After the car was at the body shop for 3 days, the shop calls me and said the "right way" to fix the bumper would be to take the bumper off, sand it down, and repaint it, which was more than what Wheels of Fortune had agree to do. He said the repairs would cost about $800. Because I wanted the job done right, I called Stan at Wheels of Fortune and offered to split the cost of the repair with him. His reply to me was that the body shop had originally quoted $200 to just respray the bottom and that was all he was willing to do. So I told him that the shop didn't seem comfortable with that, but I had no issue with it because I just wanted it to look cleaner, since the chips and scratches were so obvious. Stan said he would call back the shop and direct them to just spray the bottom provided that I agreed to that type of repair, which I did. A couple hours passed, and at the end of the day, I received a call from Stan. He told me he could not work it out with the shop in Queens, and that he had a shop locally in Oceanside which would do the work. He said he was going to pick my car up on the flatbed the next morning, bring it to this shop, and he would let me know when it was finished. The next day at 3:00 PM, I received a call saying my car was done and that I could come to their depot to pick it up. I thought it was odd it was finished so quickly, but at this point I just wanted this situation to be over with. Stan gave me the number of a contact would meet me at his lot (it was Bobby). I called Bobby on the way to the lot, and during the conversation, Bobby said "I'm no artist, but I think the car looks okay". I was shocked, I replied "Wait, did YOU fix the car yourself, NOT a body shop?" and Bobby said yes and that the car looked great. Bobby also told me he would not be there at the depot but he had given my keys to the night watch man. So when I arrived at the depot, the first thing I noticed in my car was a NYC parking ticket sitting on the dashboard. The next thing I noticed was that the rear bumper of my car looked exactly the way I thought it would, a bunch of scratches poorly covered up by a $15 can of touch up paint. It looked horrible. Even worse, the night watchman wouldn't release the car to me unless I signed a waiver no longer holding them responsible for the damage to the car. The ticket on my dashboard was for $65. I was told by the owner of the shop in Queens (which was in a bad neighborhood) that my car would be kept inside. Apparently it was not. So, in closing, Wheels of Fortune is not an honest business, they are unprofessional, and they do not honor their own agreements. If you use them for transport, be advised that your total cost may look something like mine: $680 for transport $15 gas to drive the car to Queens $12 cab ride to train station $16 train ride to your home $10 cab ride to your house $12 gas to drive back to Oceanside to get the car; $14 gas to drive back to my home $65 parking ticket $886 for a local, reputable shop to re-spray my bumper Grand total: $1710. You may want to consider enclosed transport, or anyone else for that matter. read more

Items missing from center console upon delivery that they refused to take responsibility for. Also, car had a dime sized chip/dent which they refused compensate for. The fine print actually says that they don't take responsibility for any damage caused less then the size of a credit card. SHADY SHADY SHADY place. DO NOT USE FOR TRANSPORT!!!! If you don't mind waiting ten days for delivery if your car from Florida to ny, then you don't need to read this. If you do mind waiting that long, then use a another company who can deliver sooner. We have one car in our family and living on Long Island without a car, could be a disaster. read more

Do your car a big favor and stay far away from STAN WHEELS OF FORTUNE.I hired him last week to ship my PORSCHE 911 to Florida and when it arrived it had been driven 114 miles, no gas and filthy dirty . Stan was not aware of what happened and really didn't give a sh_t. This guy shouldn't be in business . He has no knowledge what goes on with the cars once they are picked up at your house. Oct. 2016. Great Service , With Stan the Owner / Operator of this business, I only spoke with him on the phone a couple times, because in the past three years my elderly parents cant make the drive from Long Island / Florida anymore. ( I will never forget, last year I called my mother to see if the car was delivered to there house on time, And she rushed me off the phone, Saying the car arrived on time, And that Stan (the owner)was helping them unload there summer clothing out of the trunk. .. So basically we saved $380 not using the Ebay Transport Company , And I didn't have to drive to my parents house to unload there car, And hear about how nice it was in Florida , And how I should relocate my life to Florida . read more

I wanted to share my story so that everyone knows what could happen to them. I hired someone by the name of Mike Prestia, who is a old friend from 25 years ago. My mother was quoted $450 and we have agreed to use his services. He also stated you can put items in the car but make sure the driver's side is clear. My mother followed his instructions and she left for Florida to go to her primary residence. The day they picked up the car, a guy named Stan called & said I can't take this car unless you pay an additional $200 because of the weight of items put in the car. At this point, we were at his mercy and agreed to pay this amount. After a few days go by, my mom gets a call from Stan again to say he need $750 in order to drop off the car. This was $100.00 more then we were quoted. I had no idea where he got this price from. My mother spent the ENTIRE day with calls to Stan and Mike. After speaking to Stan, we find out that Mike is a broker who hires Wheels of Fortune Inc., which was unbeknownst to me nor my mother. According to Stan, he quoted Mike $550 but yet Mike told us $450 without the additional $200. I had explained to both of them, Mike & Stan, if there was a lack of communication between the both of you, my mother shouldn't be responsible for the $100.00 at this point. Either one agreed to work out this matter and are just demanding the money or they will put her car in storage!!!!!! At this point, my mother is at their mercy and is feeling like a victim of a scam. Regardless if its $100.00, my mother is living on a fixed income and is scrapping every single penny now either one admitted it was THEIR MISTAKE NOT MY MOTHERS.
