5 Stars for a spectacular brunch at Psomi with standout baked goods including the spanakopita,…read morecroissant cinnamon roll, and baklava coffee cake! Pro-tip: additional parking is located just down the street (look for the blue building with signage). I got to enjoy brunch on the outdoor patio (covered, breezy, and dog-friendly) recently and was blown away. We started with coffee and the aforementioned pastries (get them early because they all sell out!). The spanakopita was the perfect, flakey, savory intro and then paired perfectly with the sweet baklava coffee cake and croissant cinnamon roll. All three were exceptional and next time I'll go next door to their market and buy some to take home. From there we dug into breakfast dishes. I shared the Strapatsada (vegetarian, but you can add meat options), which is a Greek scramble with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, grilled baguette; along with the Med Morning Yogurt Bowl (v, gf) featuring fresh berries, house granola, mint, greek thyme honey. The granola was clearly house-made and I would also opt to purchase it at the market if they sell it! Both dishes were satisfying and hit the savory/sweet combo I was searching for. Finally, the service was fabulous and friendly and they even brought a water bowl for my pup. Great spot and my #1 go-to when in Tampa now!

The barista was kind enough to remake it when she realized the foam on top was missing. The olive dip was really good! I think I read too many hype reviews, but I want to say it's very good and you should try it and I'll leave it at that to not overkill.

The first time I came was right after that article, and there were about 50 people in line, so I left. This Saturday I stopped by at around noon, and I was third in line. WARNING: do not be in a rush! Your food is not coming out quickly. Paulie is a sweetheart, but he is a one-man show, and he likes to chat and get to know all his customers. They currently do not carry the full menu they show online, so I went with a Chicago hot dog, and the Italian beef sandwich. Paulie educated me a bit on the sandwich; if I wanted it juicy (with the sauce already on it) or on the side to dip into (yes, please, I'm a dipper), and how spicy I wanted it (more peppers, less peppers). After a nice chat with Paulie about politics, I headed home and dug in. The Chicago hot dog was perfect, although I had to remove the hot peppers. The sandwich was outstanding; the beef so tender, the peppers and onions adding depth, and the roll was so soft-I could only eat half, but the other half heated up nicely for dinner. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent other choices like a plentiful Pastrami sandwich which can also be made as a Reuben. Friendly service from a real Chicago native & veteran housed in an adjacent building (not a food truck) to a gas station - gives a dive vibe but is great for to-go. This is a lunch only (11a-2p) business 6 days, closed SUN. Very limited outdoor seating and service can be slow because he's mainly a one man show (occasionally has a helper), BUT the deliciousness of the mostly Vienna products are well worth the wait! You can also call ahead for better timed service but that hinges on him not being too busy to answer. Pro Tip food choice: his 'Best of Both Worlds' gets you a Chicago dog & a 5" Italian beef for a sizable discount!

The banana was delicious to me, however it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, the Oktoberfest suited everyone's taste. The Oktoberfest. We ordered the JÄGERSCHNITZEL with Veal with the Pancakes and Pierogies. Our two big appetizers are the Onions Rings and Pomme Fries. All delicious. I could've ate two of those schnitzels all on my own. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, super friendly- down to earth guy. The interior also blew me away with their decked out supply of German snacks, deli, beer, chocolate, random grocery assortment, all the way down to the furniture and how the employees dress; you feel like your legit in Germany. On the weekends they also have live performances, unfortunately we got there too late but from what I've heard from others that has been, it's a lively great time. Definitely will be coming back to try enjoy their live performances and food!

I had such high hopes for this place. :( The selection is very limited and perhaps I missed something (entirely possible), but I did not see a price list for the deli case. We did find a unique assortment of other German products- some we haven't seen in many years. The restaurant portion was quite busy and the customers looked happy. We were flooded with nostalgia and left in hopes of dining in on a less-busy day. I ordered two meats, including the German bologna. During the drive home, my family and I noticed a terrible odor-- the kind where we started pointing fingers at one another. We never suspected that the package from the deli was the source. When we opened it at home, a nauseatingly funky, ammonia-type smell came from the German bologna. While the liverwurst smelled okay, I could not trust it after the bologna and decided against keeping it. Wasted time and money. Dang! The staff is super nice and that was truly a plus. However, I doubt we will be back. My family is very bummed over this.
