As far as sandwich chains in Cali go, this one is my favorite. The sandwich to get is the Muffuletta! The olive spread on it and the oil and vinegar just light Italian sandwich on fire. We opted our water. The machine was doling water in a very narrow inconsistent stream. When I mentioned to the staff, they said that is what it is. Not acceptable. On the good front, the employee gave me a couple of bottles of water to make up for it. The inside of the restaurant had too much smell - don't know if their AC is working properly. We opted to sit outside - the tables outside hadn't been cleaned in months - even after I took a wet napkin to clean, it couldnt be cleaned. So in I went. There were a few customers ahead, but not crowded. Upon entering, there is a counter to the right where you can itemize your sandwich then proceed to the ordering counter. Select a bag with a basic sandwich and add whatever toppings and flavors you want from what they offer. Everything from basic lettuce and tomato to crunchy onions and olive spread. Lots of variety and flavors. Initially I didn't notice the sign for $5 Wicked Wednesday. But after hearing another customer mention it to his colleague, I jumped at the chance. It's a good deal as you can still top off the sandwich as you like it. When I first discovered Which Which, they offered bags of chips to add to you meal. They now serve fries. Had to try them. Meh... I think I'll stick to a bag of chips. While I enjoyed the dipping sauce, I could've done without paying almost the same price for the fries as my sammich. Nothing special, but good. Trademark bag ordering system has been cut in favor of kiosks, and rewards through their app system have taken a nosedive. For example, a free "birthday wich" is now just 8 dollars off. Personally, my spouse and I ordered the ultimate BLT and cali club, both supposed to come with avocado, and found that both sandwiches lacked any whatsoever (not about to bother the overworked minimum wage employee). But basically: 1) grab a bag (mine was labeled chicken--so be sure to grab the right "meat" bag) and a marker 2) mark off the ingredients you want 3) if you want a meal, grab a bag of chips 4) take it up to the cashier 5) place your order and pay It's a bit pricey. I got a large sub with chips and it was $12. Quality was good. They only have wheat and white sub bread as an option. Would be nice if they could expand this choice to include a couple of others. I went back to Which Which for the first time in years. I used to go to this location, and another nearby location. I have been many, many times. I always liked Which Which because you could customize your sandwiches. I was running errands in the area during my lunch break last week and grabbed a couple sandwiches for myself and my husband. I ordered the BYO turkey and the house BLT for my husband. When you go in, you grab a bag for your sandwich and write your order on it. They used to have red sharpies, but now they have red crayons. It was ridiculous! Most were broken and I couldn't even write my orders. Luckily I had a pen. I lent it to the woman who came in after me as well, as it was really needed to be able to write anything on those bags. The orders took a while. It was not very busy. Maybe there is a staff shortage. They used to come out much faster. Also, you used to have the option to make your sandwich skinny, where they remove the inside of some of the bread. That options was gone. I actually liked that option for the times when I was watching my carbs. All in all, the sandwich was good, but nothing special. I used to think they were much better. How to order was a bit confusing and no one was really there to explain the process of ordering and writing the information on a sub bag. I had to find a cashier and ask him to explain the process on how to use the bag to specify specific items In addition it was not inexpensive we ordered a large steak and cheese and it was almost $14. Also I didn't realize I had to ask for lettuce and tomatoes. The process could be smoother with more explanation and more room to comment what your needs are on the bags.
