    Sad chicken sandwich
    Tanya P.

My chicken sandwhich was a chicken tender. Overall the price does not match the quality, the extra charges for (pickles, ranch) make it even less desirable. Combo doesn't include a drink The chicken tenders were alright, but they did not come with a sauce cup. A little cup of ranch was $1.07 more. 2nd meal was a Combo 1 spicy, which is a white meat chicken sandwich with coleslaw and pickles, a chicken tender, and fries. And the same tube of sauce for the chicken tender sandwhich... $15.99. FYI this is a combo that does not include a drink, had I know that I would have gotten the dark meat chicken sandwhich. As a drink is $3, so it would make a combo 1 with a drink just about $20 with tax. Absolutely not worth it. It had some spice and not much flavor. Why they used a chicken strip and not the chicken portion listed was quite odd. But they did add a 2nd tender. I was not impressed with the 3 tenders and little bun that I had. The fries were a decent portion but over seasoned. Both ordered slaw on the side and extra pickles. That turned into 1 side of pickles for $0.99. The quality of food did not match the price. It lacked flavor and just not something I'd get again. The cashier was on her phone the entire time I was there often while customers waited for her attention. Also the tables are all dirty and the trash was overflowing when entering the building not a good look . Definitely will not be returning there is better places

Checking out this chicken place near USD. The order taking was so slow. I was second in line but took almost 10 minutes to get my order. I ordered combo 1 (Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Tender) and Combo 2 (all Chicken Tenders) all naked, not spicy. Food is for, chicken tenders were juicy and big sizes and the MC sauce matched well with the chicken. I would have given this experience a 4 star but the order taking was really bad and slow.

Pretty decent deals on Uber Eats so decided to try . The sides are great size and the Mac cheese is definitely cheesy. The sandwiches were spicy and decent size for me and my hubby who don't eat a lot . The fries were well seasoned but seemed dry . Not sure if I'd order again .

Went here for some spicy chicken to go and boy was I not disappointed. The supreme spice level is definitely not to be toyed around with took 3 tenders to the dome and suffered the sweet spicy consequences of my life choices the next few hours. If you are not a spice lord steer clear, if you do like your food spicy and need that next level fix try this out. I personally would probably cap out at spicy and just chill the rest of the day next time lol. Fries were straight and sauce was not bad. The chicken tenders themselves were very good crunchy, juicy, well made. Maybe just get one of your three tenders supreme level if you decide to sign the waiver and spice your day away.

Best Nashville Hot Chicken in town! I ordered the #1 combo with the Spicy Sandwich, and Extreme heat on the tender. The tender was quite spicy and required a waiver but wasn't that bad! Flavor was absolutely incredible. Perfect balance of heat and flavor. Fries were great too

Hair in my chicken sandwich box...yuck

This place could have been awesome! First their fries are delicious. And my picky 3 year old ate their mac n' cheese. I picked mild for the chicken sandwich for my husband....way too spicy for him....should have ordered no spice. And also there was hair in the box :( I ordered medium for my chicken strips and again, I should have ordered mild. The spice level is way off here. The chicken itself and the side menus are good. So if they fix the description of the spice levels and be mindful with the safety and hygeine, this place could be aweaome.

Combo 6 - 2 Dark Meat Sandwiches, Fries

If you're searching for the best hot chicken in San Diego, look no further than Main Chick. I've tried them all: Dave's Hot Chicken, Cross Street, Red Chick's--and nothing even comes close to Main Chick! The number 6 combo is my go-to every time. What sets Main Chick apart is their use of dark meat in their sandwiches. Most places only offer white meat, but Main Chick gives you the option to enjoy that juicier, more flavorful dark meat, and it's an absolute game-changer. The fries are seasoned to perfection, and their sauce strikes the perfect balance between sweet and spicy. It pairs flawlessly with both the sandwich and the fries. I usually go for the medium spice level, and it packs just the right amount of heat, while my wife prefers the mild, which still has a good kick to it. Honestly, I'd give Main Chick 10 stars if I could. It's hands down my favorite hot chicken spot ever, and once you try it, you'll understand why.

    Dark meat chicken sandwich

I have only been here 2x, once when they first opened for their grand opening and recently just because my little sister and I were craving chicken sandwiches. The lady taking our order was so sweet, she helped us make our order and even offered us some water while we waited. What we got: - Combo # 6 which came with 2 dark meat chicken sandwiches, seasoned crinkle cut fries, and 1 MC sauce The chicken sandwiches were really delicious, there was a pickle flavor, but it wasn't overpowering and the coleslaw helped balance the heat from the chicken which was both juicy and flavorful. The MC sauce elevated the sandwich as well. I do wish that they gave 2 of the sauces since there are 2 sandwiches and fries in the combo. The fries: seasoned, crispy, crinkle cut, and delicious! - Side of Mac and cheese: this to me was good, but not great. The cheese is on the light side as far as flavor, which isn't a bad thing, I just think it was slightly bland. My little sister on the other hand, literally scraped the entire container lol.

We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and it was blazing hot in there. I don't know if their AC was broken or what but it made it very uncomfortable to even wait inside. They at least could have propped the door open. On top of this, we asked for a water cup. The girl told us that they "ran out" while we were staring at the cups they have for soft drinks near the cash register. The least she could have done was given us that cup. Don't worry, we're not going to drink soda. We just wanted water. I have never been to a place that rejected water to people. Water is supposed to be free, its human decency to provide water for guests especially in a place like this. I noticed in the back they have water bottles that you have to pay for an additional charge. This made me think they purposely tell people that they ran out of water cups but in reality they just want you to buy the water bottles. Because of this I don't think I want to come back and "dine in". It's only worth it if you get to-go. The space was also really small with limited tables. The chicken sandwiches weren't bad but I prefer Hot Chickz on Camino Del Rio as it's more flavorful.

So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! Orange Juice: Not a fan really, not pulpy enough and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Overall this is definitely a must visit! I will definitely be back.

Our server Ulises was great which he immediately greeted us and was very attentive even with the Father's Day crowd. I decided to try the rib and eggs and I have to admit, I was very happy with my choice. The ribs were lightly sauced with a thin sauce that worked well. The meat was tender and had great flavor. I just didn't like the grass they put on top!lol The eggs were okay. I added cheese but I barely had any compared to my friends. The cantaloupe was a nice sweet treat afterwards. I tried my friend's meal and they were also good which they also enjoyed their meals overall. I also tried a one of the Bloody Mary flights which was the only tequila shot with pork skin on top. I do not like savory and spicy drinks but that particular shot was decent and was hot sauce for the pork skin. Overall, the experience was nice and the food was good especially for the value.

As he approached to seat us I informed him that the bus boy told us to seat ourselves and the server half jokingly asked who so I pointed to him. As for the food, we ordered sandwiches and fries. BFF had the Cubano sandwich and it was a good size but they put a thick piece of ham steak on it along with shredded pork that wasn't seasoned. He claims his fries were good and fresh. 3.5 stars for food, extra star for the service…read more My friend and I came for dinner on a Friday and Anthony took SUCH good care of us! The place was empty on a Friday at 7 which was weird, but the decor and ambience are really very nice. Anthony was friendly and energetic and gave very enthusiastic descriptions of all the menu items. He was attentive and kept our drinks full and crumbs cleared, but the flow of the meal was relaxed which was good because there was so much food in the four course prix fixe. Another example of the excellent service was this: the sun was in my eyes and I mentioned it but they didn't have blinds to draw, so Anthony went and found a large umbrella from the patio and moved it until it blocked the sun, watching my face til I was no longer squinting. As for the food: The sourdough was delicious and the herb butter really elevated the already great bread. I had the pork belly appetizer which was a generous portion with the frisée and other greens on the side too. The fat was well rendered so it melted in my mouth with wonderful caramelization and crisp edges. It was sweet but also tangy with the kumquat slices on top. The sumac popcorn was a fun and unusual addition and altogether I would highly recommend this appetizer. My friend had the gnocchi which was a bit dense but I loved the mushroom flavor and again, it was a generous portion. Very cool variety of mushrooms in it and the truffle wasn't too much. I chose the little gem wedge salad which came with the most wonderfully crisp guanciale. The cubes were so light and crumbly-crisp they seemed like they were freeze dried. The buttermilk blue cheese dressing was excellent, and my friend's Cesar salad was very authentic and looked great as well. I was starting to get full at this point so I started saving room for the short rib main, but the portion there wasn't overwhelming. The honey cornbread was sadly my favorite part here as the meat was not as tender as hoped and could have used more bordelaise. After the appetizer and salad (and I don't even usually like salad) the main was only so-so. For dessert my friend and I shared the s'more which sounded like a must, and the blueberry cobbler (crumble?). The s'more was delicious though more a mousse than a s'more as the marshmallow aspects (inside the mousse and the sauce as well) were not strong in taste and didn't really get across the marshmellow idea. Maybe if the sauce was thicker and torched more like a meringue but it tasted more like a cream sauce. The crumbs were very tasty and I loved that the chocolate portions were not too sweet but more bittersweet which helped with the richness. The blueberry dessert could have used more of the crumble as that was the best part, but it was pretty good. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the cocktails as well. The blackberry cocktail was our favorite of the two we tried and we stuck with that one. One thing to note was they had changed the menu so that more of the items on the menu were upcharges for the prix fixe, so the value was not as good. The original price was enough of a deal that it did draw me more to trying this place. But overall still solid, though given the stiff competition in San Diego for fine dining it's not high on my list to run back.

Caesar, I understand if there was a little bit of anchovy taste, but it was really fishy Bolognese was actually pretty good pretty decent. It came with pulled beef and it was over top of a skillet that was kind of bread, but you couldn't really eat the bread because bread was so tough but it's not like they're trying to use the bread as a bowl to hold it in because they put in slices at the bottom that would leak all the juices anyways, so it was kind of a waste that itself was $28 Kids pizza it was two out of five kids weren't too keen on it Gnocchi the server did a good job for running us if we like mushrooms or not, but we didn't really realize the extent that it was that much mushrooms. It is always busy, so a reservation is best (I'd call vice using that @#$# open table app, I swear). Shout out about Johny - in fact, ask for him to be your waiter, he a star.

It made for a really relaxing and memorable meal. The food was excellent from start to finish, and everything came out fresh and full of flavor. Our server was friendly, attentive, and checked in just enough without making us feel rushed. It's always nice when the service matches the quality of the food. He was from Arizona too so way to represent! This is definitely one of those places I'd recommend to anyone visiting San Diego or even locals looking for a nice dinner with a view. Great food, great service, and an atmosphere that's top notch. Easy five stars from me. Will definitely be back.

I especially love the sight of the Coronado Bridge. Absolutely aesthetic! For my order, I had the Lobster Bisque and C Level Wagyu Burger. The Lobster Bisque was tasty but I had expected a stronger lobster flavor. I had the lobster bisque at its sister restaurant Island Prime a long time ago and remember the lobster flavor being punchier. As for the burger, you can taste quality in the patty. However, the burger could have used more seasoning. The bacon was delicious--as were the included Parmesan fries which were perfect in texture. This restaurant encompasses beautiful views of the Downtown skyline. While I enjoyed my experience and the food was pretty decent, I was left wanting a little more in the flavors of my food.
