Whippany Pizza is easily one of my favorite local spots. It's a casual, reliable gem with plenty of parking, making it perfect for quick takeout, though they do have seating if you want to eat in. ​While their pies are always fresh and the service is consistently pleasant, I switched things up during a weekend lunch visit. They had a huge variety of slices available, but I went with the chicken vodka parm sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The portion was huge, loaded with cheese, and the side of vodka sauce for dipping was a total game-changer. I'll definitely be back to keep exploring the rest of the menu. read more

The three employees behind the counter at noon on a Saturday didn't seem to have much to do. I cannot believe how many slices they keep out. Plenty of variety - well beyond the usual BBQ chicken, buffalo chicken, pepperoni, cheese, and grandma slices. I'm skeptical they were all baked the same day, given how many there were. My BBQ chicken slice was served too hot to hold and eat, which quenched my excitement. It's a thicker slice than usual for NJ (not complaining, just observing). The BBQ sauce was too sweet. Stopped in, this is relatively new store in Whippany, they have a number of specials for family-sized meals listed outside. While I was hoping they would have something for lunch special, it was mostly pastas listed on their menu with sauce. I grabbed a couple of slices, the pepperoni was a nice large sixth of the pie and solid, but the chicken and ranch with bacon made my tummy queasy... Probably far too heavy. Inside you have a couple rows of bench seats to the back, and they have a few regulars already that they greeted by name as they came in. Overall, another pizzeria that is okay but can't beat the Nonna's in Florham Park for quality and price. $7.55 for a special slice and pepperoni, was ok but have had better deals. read more

This is my go-to spot for pizza whenever I'm in the area. My family and I love the wide variety of pizzas they offer. The crust is perfectly crispy, and their specialty pizzas are generously topped. I wanted a quick slice on the go, and this place definitely did the job. There were three people working behind the counter, and I was greeted immediately upon entering the pizza establishment. When I walked in, I was expecting five or six different varieties of slices to choose from. There were about four times that many. Anything from plain to vegetable to chicken, broccoli, and tomato to fajita slice they have available for the taking. I opted to live a little dangerously, and went with the pineapple and ham slice. The slice had zero flop, and the crust was extremely crunchy. The pizza was good. The size of the slice was a decent size. It was called a gourmet slice and cost $4.15 which is about the going rate for this type of slice. Overall, I was in and out in less than five minutes. I would definitely come here again. read more

I decided to give this place a try since I was working nearby. Ordered some garlic knots, a pizza and a chicken francese sub. Knots were delicious. The marinara that came with it gives me hope for the pasta. Pizza was decent. Nothing spectacular but I didn't regret the purchase. The same can't be said for the francese. Even as someone who enjoys lemon chicken, it was too lemony and it could really use some cheese. The bread was really good but the sauce soaked through it quick and it just became lemon bread before I got through the first half. Disappointing. Ultimately, I think the three star average is apt. It's a nice place for a slice and they have a big menu but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to try again. read more

It took a little investigation trying to figure out where exactly this pizzeria is. This is a brand new shopping center on Rt 10 in Whippany. This restaurant has only been open for 4 months. Inside, the place is very nice. Plenty of seating and very clean. There was a good selection of slices at lunch. I chose a slice with sausage that was excellent. Very nice crust and just the right amount of thickness. I'm not sure if it was the owner working the counter, but both guys were very friendly. Stop in and give this new place a try. This fairly new spot which has only been open for about seven months now has got some killer high efficiency ovens up in here. Ordered delivery through the slice app - got delivered by somebody saying they worked for DoorDash. Led to an odd encounter. Sicilian was dry - overcooked - in the crust but very wet on the top. Cheese was sliding off and stuck to the lid of the box. Not the best. White Pizza was better. Meatball topping was very dry but still enjoyable. It had a thick crust with a lot of chew to it. I ordered a plain slice and barbeque slice. The plates they serve the pizza on are so flimsy and small that when the pizza was brought to the table the server, had to put his bare hands on the pizza (holding the crust with his thumb) to prevent the pizza from falling off the plate. Really didn't like the idea of his hands on my food. The plate wasn't big enough for the pizza and so the pizza touched the table. When I asked for extra plates so it would actually fit the pizza and prevent it from touching the table, he gave me a single plate. The pizza crusts are so thin that the pizza falls apart before you can eat it. Hope they implement some changes read more

This had become our go to place for pizza. We order pizza one week ago and attached was their menu. So tonight we ordered the family special for 23.95. When I went to go pay they told me it was 28.95, I gave her the clipped coupon for the family special and the owner told me that menu is not up to date and that the coupon doesn't work. No where is there an expiration date. I told him that you literally gave that menu to my husband last week and he just responded well it's cheaper then a pizza so your getting a deal. I was in a wheelchair and entered with my family on a Sunday afternoon no one else was in the place. after ordering food for 10 people they told uus my daughter with a small baby and a small stroller had to leave the stroller outside. she complied than then said I would have to go sit at the table nearest the door as I was blocking the walkway. not true my wheelchair fits under the end of the booth and there was plenty of room to walk by. keep in mind we were the only ones there. I asked to speak to manager to remind him of the American with disability act. he never showed. I went to their place of business when i needed a quick bite, and though their baked ziti was good, it gave me diarrhea and i ended up feeling sick after eating it. The service was kind of not great and i ended up waiting longer to get my meal. Not a great place overall, most likely won't be coming back here again. I left a review when this place had just opened.... It went from 5 stars to 3. I agree that it's a shame we can't get a consistently good pizzeria in a town with so many Italians! My issue is with the grilled chicken. It's a nice option for take out and lighter fare. Unfortunately it is marinated so heavily and is so salty, It kills the taste. I specifically asked for a grilled cutlet sandwich without a lot of spices. I was told it was " No problem." Price is right, timing for takeout is always on point, they don't deviate from their delicious ingredients. We have had their pizza every Friday for the past two months and wouldn't change a thing. A great kept secret in Whippany/East Hanover. Their pizza delicious, their pasta delicious, and their sandwiches are on point and delicious. We ordered a half tray of penne vodka last night, with an eggplant sandwich and a plain pie, they didn't flinch at all. The order was ready in 30 mins and was hot hot hot!!! My sister and I ordered through a third-party app and came in to pick up our order. The girl at the front was very friendly and we received our order with no issue. As we were getting into our car, we noticed the owner standing at the front counter glaring at us through the window. I saw him say something to the girl and he rolled his eyes. He then picked up the tip jar in a dramatic way, kind of turning it upside down to see if there was anything in it. There was not because we left a tip on the app we ordered from. The pizza was decent quality, but not nearly good enough to justify the attitude from the owner making us extremely uncomfortable. Order not delivered. Called and they said the order was picked up for delivery a while ago and told me to call "Slice" to contact the driver. Not satisfied with the response, I asked for a refund. Young gentleman said it was not "not their responsibility" since they outsource delivery service through "Slice". I offered to stop by for a refund, or they could even redo the order and I'll pickup myself. Answer was "no, we're not refunding you and we're not going to GIVE YOU FREE FOOD (free food?!? I paid already!) He then clearly said do DO NOT COME HERE". The conversation got ugly on both sides. I admittedly was frustrated and could have chosen kinder words. But they were so unprofessional. I understand the business model: They make the food and Slice handles the delivery. But to make zero accommodations for your customer is completely unacceptable and not worthy of my business. I work nearby. I ordered two sandwiches for pickup. I walk in with a smile and ask the girl have you got my sandwiches, which I could see were sitting on top of the pizza oven. The place was empty. The manager (owner?) immediately copped a nasty attitude. 'What sandwiches?" "For who?" He was practically yelling. I gave him my name, still smiling, and the clown throws his hands up in the air like I had done something wrong. The friendly teenaged girl got my sandwiches and as the guy was walking away I told him "they should have been easy to find, it looks like that 's the only business he's had." I paid through slice (credit card) and when the order arrived my co-worker paid the delivery driver, not realizing I had already paid. I called the place and they told me to take it up with slice! Ordered some takeout things from here the pizza was doughy and not much flavor the soups were very salty again nothing too impressive and expensive for the small container. Ordered a drink it was left out of the order but was charged and I didn't realize it until I looked at the receipt later.
