Our server and bar tender were very attentive and we got to watch the Olympics on the many screens. People were generally happy and it was a terrific vibe. They have live music on occasion but the bar menu and craft brews are from local breweries. Stop in and enjoy a few Hubby got the smokehouse burger and I got the jalapeño burger (my picture was blurry-sorry). Omg, their fries are amazing!

The chicken wings had a good crisp, the side salad I asked for was fresh, the cheese steak roll was pillowy soft and was nicely cheesy, and most importantly, the gentleman behind the bar who took our order was a fantastically nice guy The cons. The garlic parm sauce on the wings were a bit lacking and the amount of meat on the cheese steak was only half enough to really fill that long roll. And the most irksome thing was the 2,23 % "technology fee". No offense but WTH is that?????? If it was to use the credit card, it wasn't explained at all. Look, if you like a funky bar with good food and you are in the area, I would say check it out once in your life and form your opinion. But, for me, I just don't know how often

Nice bar, and good selection for wines and beer. Parking is street parking mostly and they have couple of parking spots to the side of the restaurant. Genuine hospitality that welcomes you like they've known you forever. You are going to ask why you haven't been here many times before after you visit. Everything is of quality and fresh. The menu is concentrated offering a nice balance of traditional items and Irish dishes. The Potato and Leek Soup is made very well with such a clean smooth broth and plenty of potato and leek present in the soup. Try the Cajun Chicken and Sausage gumbo was a nice option offering Big pieces of Chicken and Andouille Sausage. Nice kick but not overwhelming. Clams or Mussels appetizers are on point and worth sharing with the table. The Corned Beef and Cabbage dish was amazing and definitely NOT bland! Lean Corned Beef and fresh hand cut veggies make this a must have! The NY Strip, is tender, cooked perfectly and recommend having the whiskey sauce over the top! For $38.95 it is a bargain! Highly recommended as it literally checks every box for me. Will definitely return!

Wings weren't the best but we enjoyed the pork chop Murphy, cod and strip steak with old school classic steak fries. Only slight ding was my draft Harp. I love Harp but it had a skunky after taste, most likely from unclean beer lines. Place itself is very cozy and cute but pretty small. Perfectly mellow live music was great and was delighted that no tv was on. Parking can be a bit tricky. Service was good and as noted, super friendly! QM isn't too close to my home but I hope to be back!

Stirling Tavern is a casual but polished neighborhood bar and grill with a trendy aesthetic and a…read morecozy ambiance; a menu featuring classic pub favorites elevated a notch above your average bar fare with gourmet ingredients; an innovative and seasonally-updated adult beverage program; and attentive and friendly service. The space on the first floor is divided into a lively bar area with plenty of TVs and a slightly quieter main dining room with comfortable booths and tables. There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. The menu captures the essence of modern American comfort food. Whether you're grabbing the Stirling Burger ($18) -- made from a tasty short rib and brisket blend -- or splurging on the Grilled New York Strip ($48) topped with crabmeat fries, the quality is evident. They are also great with dietary restrictions. Between the various poultry, fish, and vegetarian options on the menu and the kitchen's willingness to make moderate accommodations in any other dish, there's something for everyone. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Stirling Tavern offers a Happy Hour Monday through Friday between 3pm and 6pm, which features specials on certain cocktails, wines, beers, and light snacks. You must be seated at the bar to take advantage of the promotional pricing. If you enjoy a good Old Fashioned, try the JB ($10), made with Four Roses bourbon, blood orange amaro, orange & angostura bitters. PRO TIP #2: Stirling Tavern does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on South Street or Maple Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, paid parking is also available in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot #8 (@ 10 Franklin Street) and Vail Parking Area (@ 110 South Street). FREE on-street parking is located on MacCulloch Avenue, just two blocks from Stirling Tavern.

We did sit at the bar today which dominated a large section of the place, has room to sit dozens and as expected from a sports bar, tvs and big screens all around. We came there wasn't a game, so we were pleased to listen to good music as we sat in the corner of the bar. We only sampled a small portion of the menu as we only had 40 minutes, but the fish and chips were spot on, crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, came straight from the fryer without feeling overly greasy. The fries were delicious, and the burger was respectable We def plan to come by next time we need to pass time waiting for our drummer boy.

I only photographed some of what we ordered but there were 10 meals, total, ordered at our table, so, a variety of tastes. Unfortunately there wasn't any consistency when it came to flavor. The Thai chilli wings must have been seasoned with old bay because that was pretty much all you tasted. The filet mignon while nice & tender, was slightly over seasoned (with salt). The lobster mac had a good amount of lobster throughout it. The Chimichurri skirt steak, though meant to be medium well, was overcooked & over seasoned (with salt). So much so it had to be sent back due to not being edible. The kitchen did replace it & there was less salt but still overcooked. The snow crab boil was ok although it could have used more old bay. The zuppa de pesce, in a garlic butter sauce as well as the kids meals were all decent. The best meal on the table was the chicken bacon ranch pizza: dough was perfect.
