We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch and to see their bourbon selection. They were not that busy when we got there but we like to sit at the bar so that is what we did. Friendly locals sitting at the bar to visit with. The sandwiches my wife and I had were amazing and we decided to share them. The coleslaw and fried chips were also very good. The main reason we went there for did NOT disappoint! The whiskey selection is the best I have ever seen at a bar or a liquor store. They had all the high end hard to find bourbons...Blanton's, Weller Antique 107 as well as all the other Weller bourbons, Eagle Rare, Bookers, Bakers, Stag, E.H. Taylor... even Pappy Van Winkle! And hundreds more bourbons! I have traveled all over the U.S. and have never seen a bar stocked like this. Absolutely the place to go if you want to spend some bucks on GREAT whiskey. The food is very reasonably priced and we were waited on very well. I have read negative reviews on some sites about the service, however our service was great. We will definitely be back. read more

Absolute horrible service and they were not even packed on a Sunday evening. Food was great when we got it. Over run by locals and my wife had to wait in line at the bar to pay the bill. We are from out of town and we found this place on yelp I love going to little hole in the wall places when we are out of town but a lady came over told us she was not our server but got us our drinks and we waited 40 minutes and not one single person came over to take our order or anything and all the employees were just standing at the bar. I am a regular Saturday Happy Hour attendee at Whiskey Dicks and they recently updated their menu and it is fantastic! This bar and grill is quickly transitioning into a Wichita destination. They added a Boon Dock burger to the line up that I tried Saturday and it was a marvel! A large hamburger patty topped with corned beef, bacon, swiss cheese, and a fried egg! I tired it as it comes on the menu but my friend added chili and it was excellent! If you would like to have good food, a great happy hour (half priced appetizers and drink specials 3:00 until 6:00), nice staff, and be in a low key relaxed atmosphere with really nice people, stop by here and enjoy! read more

One of the best burger joints in the entire city of Wichita, but even these towering mounds of juicy meat, cheese, and bread aren't the real reason you're coming here. No... that would be the french fries. All fries aspire to be fries at Whiskey Dicks. They are the pinnacle of the category. Crispy on the outside, fluffy and hot on the inside. Perfectly seasoned, they are the envy of all burgers, fish 'n chips, and Ore-Ida. I cannot overstate how good these fries are. The burgers are excellent too. From the Richard Dick to the Ricardo Dick, even the ones with the weird toppings like the Green & Bleu are wonderful. If you care, my mom, who considers fried pickles to be the pinnacle of fried food design, says these are the best on the planet. I wouldn't compare my taste in that category to hers, but they are stellar. The wings here are different, but tasty. They bread their wings here before frying. The product is not like most wings like that - Whiskey Dicks wings are still crisp and they have nailed the breading to wing ratio. Just enough to provide some texture and crunch and not too much to overwhelm the chicken. Service is not always spot on though and they are normally understaffed during the week with a bartender doing double duty as a server which means, predictably, service at the bar is FAR better than the table. Keep that in mind. TLDR: The best fries EVER in the history of potatoes, great burgers, fair prices (HALF-PRICE BURGERS ON WEDNESDAY), excellent sides, but slow service at tables. 4.5/5 read more

I would give a 0 if I could. Went there with my 18 yr old daughter and an adult friend for dinner one night and was told that we had to leave as they do not have a food license to serve food because they do not serve enough food to have a license...really do you think I am that dumb?! "They can only serve food to adults over 21." I always see them posting lunch and dinner menus on FaceBook. If they don't have a license to serve food...then that means that the people that work there do not have food handlers licenses. Will never go back. Most Sports Bars allow kids up until a certain time of the night and then it's adults only. read more

I found this place on yelp and as an avid football fan they stuck out as a local sports bar where i can catch the game. The parking lot was very dim and small, looks like it could be a problem when busy. First impression was that the food was going to be sub par. The inside is poorly lit, but it added to the local feel. Vintage alcohol and soda signs are hanging on the wallsWaitress was very friendly. I judge most restaurants on their ability to fry a good pickle. They were a tad salty for my taste but overall very tasty. The breading was light and fluffy but could get soggy fast. The portion was huge! Now on to my burger, the richard dick. This burger. What could be better with velveeta and cheddar cheeses, bacon and bbq sauce. We came on a Tuesday and they were offering half price appetizers as well as $3 calls. We were there to watch the game and ended up playing darts the entire night! This is my favorite place to bring friends to eat wings and watch a game or play some pool. They have some great staff although the newer staff is slow and off task. The food is on point!! I was visiting Wichita from out of town and found this bar on Yelp. The reviews were sure right and this was a great place to catch my Chiefs playoff game. Plenty of screens, great food, great drinks and excellent service. I would recommend the grilled cheeseburger, it was amazing. I left a pair of sunglasses there and the manager is mailing them to me all the way in Texas. I offered to send money but he said no worries. Great people! But I'd just stay with a regular burger, the extras are just to suite your taste I guess. Fries were excellent as well. This place is great. Reasonable drink prices (with specials every day, even Friday and Saturday), pretty good food, nice ambiance. There's a decent sized patio and plenty of room inside with a pool table, shuffleboard table, and they do karaoke on Saturdays. Plenty of TVs and good service. This is a great place for burgers. Ordered the Midwesterner and it was great! The fries were amazing without the liquid cheese. We ordered them with cheese and regretted it. We also ordered the trio and split it. On the trio we ordered jack bites, buffalo wings, and mushrooms. The jack bites were too much. None of us were a fan of the creamy cheese. Ranch was amazing and tasted homemade! Overall the food was good. BBQ sauce was amazing! Service was good. The waitress took her time to explain the menu. Not very busy. Gave it four stars because we didn't enjoy the cheese! Restaurant was clean. We almost didn't stop because of the way the restaurant looked on the outside but it's worth stopping and trying! We tried this place for dinner on the spur of the moment, so glad we didn't go with our first impression (strictly drink dive bar). The food was AWESOME! Aelisa, our Server, shared with us that 85% of all the dishes are made from scratch. And you can tell it in the quality of the food. We tried chips with queso, guacamole and salsa, and fried mushrooms for appetizers. All was very fresh and delicious. Everyone at our table had a burger, they were all cooked just right, huge, and the garnishes were fresh and crispy. The fries were the type that are battered and very crispy, I had the mac & cheese as a side and it had a nice little spicy kick with bacon on top, can't go wrong with that! The drinks were generous, and the service was spectacular. I highly recommend this place for groups of friends wanting to hang out and have a nice visit with some good food. By the way, they do have some salad, and grilled chicken breast and turkey wrap options for those who are trying to eat healthy. However you will be missing out on the really good stuff. read more
