Terrible food, I had the beef chimichangas and it was so greasy I couldn't eat it. The waitress, Elise, was also really bad. She didn't know the menu or drinks and actually got into a bit of an argument with me. 6 people were served 1 bowl of chips and salsa and we asked for a second bowl so everyone could reach the chips and we were charged $2.50 per couple for the "refill". This place is a hidden gem! My family and I went here for lunch and absolutely loved all of the food we got. All of the food was so good, we would definitely come back. The waiter was so awesome at accomodating my 4 year olds want of rice, beans, chicken and sour cream! My husband got a jalapeno burger and said he would definitely get it again. The house marg was really good....but I was disappointed with the food quality for the price. I really didn't feel it was anything better than I could prepare at home in the microwave. I really wanted to love this place, especially because I'm a local. My boyfriend made the same comment with his food. Great food! Nice atmosphere.. Not too loud or too dull. We started out with the Mount Olympus as a appetizer and it was so so so good. Like greek nachos. Incredible. Next time I come back I am absolutely getting it as an èntre. I got the Greek martini with ouzo. Super yummy. My fiance got the Southern Gentleman and my sister got the raspberry mojito...also both very tasty. For an entre i had two lamb kabobs and a shrimo kabob. Great flavor and char.. The lamb was maybe a lil chewy but not bad at all. The garlic sauce that came with it was awesome. Our waitress was really sweet and timely. 10/10 will be back! read more

So my husband and I got carry out from this restaurant about two weeks ago. It was the first time we've use the restaurant, we were in the area very close for a hockey game. We actually live only a few minutes away. When we got home, we discovered that half of our carry out order was missing and immediately called the restaurant back. The restaurant was closed for the evening as it was about 10:05 in the evening but the manager on charge offered very quickly to replace our items at our next time of choosing and also said that he apologized and would throw a $25 gift card in. We called this evening to get our items replaced and were greeted on the phone by a manager, not the same one there the night this happened. The manager was extremely rude. He demanded to know exactly which of the 30 types of tacos that we ordered that evening. When I couldn't remember he rudely replied" ma'am, you're calling me back and asking me to replace an item and you can't remember what it is?" Well, no I can't remember the exact name of the one of 30 tacos but I could remember that it was a chicken taco wrapped in corn tortillas. The manager in charge then went on to state that they would not supply the $25 gift card as the other manager had promised. As a clincher to the situation, the food at this establishment was only marginal at best. Those two situations combined lead me to give this a thumbs down. I would give zero stars due to the disrespect and complete lack of hospitality but unfortunately yelp doesn't allow that. Let me preface this review by saying I worked as a server for 8 years before I graduated and I'm very attuned to the service industry. The ignorance, disrespectful and lack of class displayed by the "manager" Chris, and whoever the server was that answered the phone is disgusting. My friends and I frequent this place on a weekly basis. We ordered $95.00 of carry out food at 7:28PM, and we were told 30 minutes until it would be ready. We arrived at 8:01PM, 33 minutes later. The food was ready. We get home, I bite into a chicken taco and my friend bites into her chicken quesadilla and both of us spit it out. The chicken was hard as rocks, literally the kind of old, hard chicken that turns translucent almost. Hard chicken was mixed into all our chicken items we ordered. I called to discuss this with the manager. First, a server answered and he was extremely rude and condescending. First he argued the only thing we ordered with chicken was a chicken quesadilla, I had to explain to him 3 times we ordered 5 chicken tacos as well.... I had the receipt and I'm pretty sure I know what I ordered. I explain to him the hard chicken situation, he has THE NERVE to say "I just checked the cameras and you got here late to pick up your carryout" lol WHAT!? First of all, who says that? That is WEIRD to say. Especially since it's a blatant LIE. So he checked the cameras within the 2 minutes we were on the phone and rewinded footage to see us walk in and cash out??? Secondly I literally have a copy of the receipt of the time I checked out lol. So I asked to speak to a manager. Chris was rude and incompetent. He answered the phone by saying "YEP" like huh? I start to explain the situation THREE times and all THREE times he talks over me and says so you want to order 5 chicken tacos? Like come on dude how dense do you think I am? The server told him why a guest wanted to speak to a manager and he kept playing dumb saying "so you want to order 5 chicken tacos?" I asked to speak to another manager and he said "good luck with that im the only manager here" I have actually never had to call to complain about a carryout order before and I'm so appalled by the lack of human decency, lack of respect, lack of hospitality. These jerks do not care that how they treat guests poorly takes money out of the owners pockets when guests don't return. They did ZERO to mitigate the situation. We paid $106.00 with tip for food that 50% of we couldn't even eat because it was filled with disgusting hard-as-rocks chicken. Sucks to say that I loved this place but none of us will ever be returning after this experience. Get workers that actually care about your guests. read more

My fiancé and I wanted to try this place based on the reviews and we wanted mexican. We were not impressed at all with the food. The chips and salsa, for $3, were the worst we've tried. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce, literally! I don't remember exactly what he got but he wasn't a fan of the side of beans which tasted like it came straight from a can. First time tonight at Montage. Food was awesome. I had three different tacos and each was excellent (fish, shrimp and chorizo/potato). Wife had enchiladas and said they were great. Had an excellent meal at Montage Grill tonight. I had the peppers and onions sort of fajita style with braised lamb that was amazing. I had the Detroit City zip sauce with it which was very tasty. Hubby had the braised lamb entree which he loved. We started with the spinach and feta mushrooms--yum!! Drinks were good too. We will be back with our friends and family. I dined at Montage last night and really had a great experience. The manager or owner was extremely attentive. My server Cynthia was prompt, courteous, and overall wonderful. I ordered the hummus appetizer which was delicious, but I really appreciated that it was served with cucumber slices in addition to the pita chips. My husband and I shared two entrees; the beef kafta and the chicken shawarma. Both plates were presented beautifully. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The kafta was fantastic. The wine selection was limited, but I ordered the only pinot noir they offered and it was very good. We were in and out in an hour. My husband and I decided to try out Montage for the first time earlier this year (February?) Since then, we try to make a weekly visit here (whether it's for adults only date night or a family dinner with our kids)! I love the Chile Colorado (with spicy chicken) and the shrimp tacos! Both of those dishes are AMAZING. The margaritas are fantastic and the service is the best. Cynthia took care of us our first two times in and she instantly felt like a friend! Her brother Steven is equally as awesome. We have recommended Montage to many friends, family, and coworkers. This awesome little place was certainly a delight to stop in and have some very fresh and delectable Greek food. Most impressive was the very quick and friendly service as well. I had the hummus as an appetizer, but had them hold the cucumbers because I hate cucumbers. We just got back from eating at Montage Grill for the first time which is a new restaurant here in Clawson that opened in September. We had no idea what type of restaurant it was or we would have tried it sooner, but at least we know now. It was absolutely delicious! We definitely have a new favorite place to add to our list and they will for surely see us back in their establishment as regulars. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, we had the perfect dining experience. We received top notch service from Cynthia, who we found out is also one of the owners. She is a delight and we would have come back just for her incredible service alone but the food is EXCELLENT! It was a true win-win. I ordered the Montage salad to start. Um. Yum. (avocado, tomato, red onion, cucumber, and parsley all mixed in a lemon herb dressing. I asked for no lettuce and no chicken because I just wanted a small portion as an appetizer rather than a meal and they accommodated me) I ordered as my main meal the gyro platter and was told they make their own gyro meat in-house. It was like nothing I've ever had. It was different but it was incredible and the presentation was wonderful and healthy with the delicious green beans. I can't wait to go back and try more options. My husband had the chicken shawarma platter and it was just as tasty as mine and he loved itI I highly recommend this place! It really is a montage of different Mediterranean foods just like the name suggests. They also did a great job with the decor and bar. The next time we come back we might have to sit at the awesome lit up bar! Oh, I almost forgot, while dining the chef brought us out a sample of pulled lamb that they are going to try out as a special this weekend and asked us our opinion. OMG! Pulled lamb might be the best pulled meat I've ever eaten. I've had pulled pork, pulled chicken, pulled brisket but never pulled lamb. WOW! It puts all of the other pulled meats I've ever had to shame in my opinion. I literally cannot say enough good things about this place! Please give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.
