This was actually my second time having goodies from here but my first time being inside. You see I had actually hinted to my husband back in May for my birthday and he picked up some goodies. A girlfriend and I were coming home from brunch and I had asked whether or not she had been there before. When she said no you had better believe that I made her turn into the center! It's an adorable little storefront in what seems to be a pretty dead part of the shopping plaza on South Fort Apache just south of Pinkbox off Tropicana. Inside is has the cutest mural and details of whisks. Their counter was beautifully filled with delicious goodies. Back in May, my husband got me an oatmeal cream pie, a strawberry shortcake cupcake, a cookies and cream cupcake, some push up cake pops, and chocolate and s'mores ring dings. Everything was soooo good. So I had to get another oatmeal cream pie, and I got the cookies and cream while convincing my friend to get the strawberry shortcake (I told her it changed my mind about liking strawberry desserts; she agreed that she couldn't stop eating it!) and was nice enough to bring home the hubby some chocolate ring dings. It's a good thing I ate the oatmeal cream pie because I did not get a single bite of either of those ring dings. ‍ Now they are even on Doordash which makes this even more dangerous! I checked out this bakery this weekend and learned they do more than just custom cakes. They use high quality ingredients in those cakes but also have a display case with nostalgia inspired cakes. They make their own version of an oatmeal pie cookie, a strawberry shortcake ice cream cupcake, and their version of those ding dong desserts called a ring ding that are different flavors. I also grabbed a lunchbox cake for my niece for her birthday. They've also done tons of cakes for family events. Custom cakes not only look beautiful, they're also delicious. This bakery is closeby to my house and I bought a dozen cupcakes for my sisters bday. There were no prices on the display when we walked in so I clutched my pearls when I saw the total was $60. The cupcakes are similar to Sprinkles with the dome frosting. We really enjoyed the coconut caramel and strawberry shortcake. They were moist and not too sweet. Talk about a stumble! Drove cross country from Florida and I stumbled upon the new "Dubai chocolate" trend along the way. Of course it being my last day in Vegas and with my love for croissants, I searched it up and here we are! I had no idea they were on a baking show and had award winning cakes, so that was a pleasant surprise (except for my pockets, since that usually means higher prices). I ended up getting 4 items in total to try out with a total price of around $42 (I may be a couple dollars off since I lost the receipt, but definitely over $40). (2) Dubai chocolate stuffed croissants: These were SUPER delicious, although quite pricey. Am I glad I got two still? Yes, although it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience for over $12 a piece. I will say, I thought it would be a bit dense due to the sauce on top, but I was completely wrong. The croissant was as flaky and delicate like that of a regular butter croissant while still holding the fluffy airiness inside even with all the filling. The filling was amazing as well. Very pistachio-y flavors with a lot of crisps in every bit. The servings were generous as well. (1) Dubai pistachio crunch cake: Another pricey delight, but completely worth it on the first (& hopefully not last) bite. The cake was soft and airy with a thin, slightly solid shell of a chocolate on top. The little sprinkles of pistachio are also always a bonus delight. The portion is a treat as much as it is a tease and my bet is you'll eventually go back for seconds. (1) Lemon Ring Ding This one was interesting and I enjoyed the lemon cream filling (I think that's what it was? Lol). I wish it had more of a zesty-ness to it though. It's hard to find a good lemon flavor with some zing in it, but overall it was still an enjoyable "nostalgic" treat when on the go. Overall the ambience was clean and welcoming, the service was pleasant and quick, and the delicacies I got to try were easily an 8/10 combined. Were the prices the best? Not really..Will I be back? Most likely. Will it be often? Doubt it. Is it worth the experience to try it out and see where it takes you? Without a doubt. read more

OK, this was my first time coming to this place and I was welcome by young African-American woman who was very nice to me and greeted me warmly. I then proceeded to see the famous Dubai chocolate bar along with the Dubai chocolate crunch cake and I opted for two of the Dubai chocolate crunch cake. When I got home, I ate my lunch and then about two hours later, I tried the Dubai chocolate crunch cake and it did not disappoint! This is a 10 out of 10! I highly recommend it! We got the house made Ding Dongs (forgive me as I forget the special name the business gave them) and they are one of the best bakery selections we have ever had anywhere. They are so good that I almost wanted to keep them a secret, but, Whiskful Thinking deserves to know how exceptional they are! I got the Dubai dingdong for my husband and the original for myself. They were both absolutely delicious, but the original is a stand out and we wished we had more than one to share. I love whiskful thinking cakes. I went on Feb 13th and got the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries. The strawberries were so juicy and the pistachio were crunchy and nutty and the milk chocolate was so smooth all the flavors went perfect together. It was pretty busy in there. The owner was so sweet and talking with everybody she even gave my son a cake pop. All the employees were so nice and everybody was efficient and worked well with each other! First off this is not a review of the standard bakery items - just my experience of online ordering their viral croissant with pistachio filling and picking it up. 5 stars for the online ordering experience. Being able to park in the pick up parking spot, go in, be helped so fast - the experience was amazing ! The customer service was on point and website was easy to navigate. That said I have to say the croissant was sad and disappointing. The croissant itself and the chocolate drizzle was tasty and well made but the filling was so awful. The texture was stale and dry. Having eaten a lot of pastries I can 100% imagine the pastry was mixed and filled the night before, it sat, absorbed the moisture and left the filling tasting weird and dry IF you are going for their viral treat I would say go in the morning and try your luck with a fresh one because paying in advance got me a half eaten treat and throwing the other one away. read more

We were interested in seeing what all the hype was about Dubai chocolate but that quickly changed once we went to Whiskful Thinking. I originally visited to purchase the strawberry Dubai chocolate that was posted on their social media account. But was told by one of the staff that it was only made on Saturdays...Regardless, I decided to make a purchase and give it a try. I understand that their bakery specializes in custom cakes. So any other treats that are displayed would be an added plus. There were a few options of baked goods and no prices displayed which is odd. Something I've never seen in any local bakery. So I was surprised to see the prices coming out to $24 for the Dubai chocolate bar and $12 for the Dubai pistashio cake. I sucked it up and thought maybe those prices would make up for the taste of the desserts. Unfortunately, that was a big disappointment...the cake was wet, under baked and the flavor of the cake tasted very artifical. On the other hand, the chocolate bar was too sweet and it was lacking flavor. I only took a few bites of each and threw it away. With all that said, it was a miss. There are other bakery options in Las Vegas that offer those particular treats. I'd advise you to try those bakeries instead.......... it was not worth the drive or money. read more

Here's my 2 cents on how it went without name-bashing, you can probably guess who they are: Bakery that has been open for over 30+ years - their cupcakes by far, fell flat, it was dry, tasteless and tragically blah. Bakery that has a well established name on 215/Eastern- good but nothing that knocked my socks off Bakery in Summerlin, lower price point than the above- good taste, moist-ish and the frosting was very light, not overpowering sweet and good!! Bakery on 215/rainbow- they looked pretty but they were rock hard upon purchasing, frosting was overly sweet and I was let down by the look vs the taste vs the price. Staff was not friendly, nor helpful- that alone would have kept me away anyway. And then there's Whiskful... I've been stalking them on IG over a year before they opened their storefront. I never ordered from them before. But I walked in and just seeing their cupcakes, I had high hopes... They LOOK like a gourmet cupcake, they are slightly larger in size than the average cupcake like those listed above as well as Sams/Costco. Whatever magical goodness the frosting is made of- feels so good in your mouth - it tastes light and kind of airy, tastes like fresh whipped cream but with a frosting consistency. You get the feeling like it's soft-serve ice cream and you just want to scoop it off and eat it all by itself! I digress, you can't have one and not the other, the cake is moist, light and airy but still enough to feel like you're eating cake. The staff is all so nice, friendly and helpful. Each time there were patrons in there and they chatted up each of us with friendly conversation. Don't waste your money or calories on dry, tasteless cupcakes. These cupcakes are worth every dollar!!! I ordered one dozen of each of the classic flavors that are always available. For a kid party, the first to go was the confetti, then the chocolate oreo, then the strawberry. We had quite a bit of coconut left over - but we took them home and took care of it!! There were a ton of complements about the cupcakes at the party, people wanted to know where I got them from. My new favorite bakery! This bakery is so cute, smells amazing, spotless, and has the friendliest staff. We've visited a couple of times now and they are always so helpful and excited to interact with us as customers and they love my daughter - they even remembered her name on our second visit and she's only 6 months old. We have now tried the oreo, caramel coconut, birthday cake, and cookie jar cupcakes. I have to say - I think the cookie jar cupcake is quite possibly the best thing I've ever had.
