Having heard a lot about this farmhouse brewery from my brother -in-law it was finally time to…read morecheck out what all the commotion was about. Expectations were high, after my sister's go to craft brewery closed down and her husband took to Stone Silo immediately, signing up to be a club member. The building itself did have a stone silo on property that opened up to fields. There was a rustic, farm type feel walking in the front door. Welcomed by stone and dark colored woods, the facility was quite large and clean with ample seating. A glance outside there were fire pits and chairs to sit set, along with an 'adult only' section if you don't like your craft with a crying 2 year old. I sampled a few beer including the IPA, which was a bit underwhelming, but expected since the West Coast is known for quality IPAs. I settled on the Japanese rice lager, 'Nojo with Yuzu.' What a mistake! Not something I could get behind and I like yuzu too. Just too tart for a lager and not what I was looking for in my light beer selection. Second round I tried their Czech style dark lager, Clever Crow. Not sure what about this was supposed to be lager, it really felt more porter-ish to me, did not drink light and just not what I was looking for in a dark lager. The grounds and staff were great, it was a fun place to hang with family, but maybe I just made two poor beer decisions. Expected a bit more from the taps but would be willing to go back and give Stone Silo a second chance, as I know my bro-in-law will want to go back since it's close to the house

I may have found my new favorite brewery! What I liked most is how many low ABV options they have so I can have a drink while still keeping track of my kid and being able to drive home. The service was phenomenal. I asked a lot of questions about the drink options and the bartender was able to answer everything or refer to a manager for help. I decided to get the frozen mojito which is made with their spiked seltzer so it has an ABV of 5%. It comes in 3 sizes and I got the smallest one. It was so tasty and refreshing on a hot weekend! The mint flavor came through without tasting like toothpaste. I would definitely get this again and try some of the other frozen drink options too. There is so much outdoor space for kids to play! Families had infants, toddlers, and elementary school aged kids with them. Kids were kicking a ball, parents were strolling the babies, and everyone was having fun. My daughter loved walking through the grass and observing all the lawn games being played. It was so easy to sip my mojito and watch over her. I am very happy I found this brewery and am looking forward to a returning visit with the family.

It's been a bit so this is an update. Came here for dinner about a week ago. I love this place,…read moreit's cozy and like a little hidden gem. Food is always great, as is the service. There were 5 of us, we had the cheese curds (always delicious), tried the crab nachos (surprisingly good) as apps. Ordered the crab soup. I was expecting more of a cream crab soup but that was my fault as it wasn't listed as such and it's a reddish sauce kind of a minestrone with the veggies in it. We ordered shrimp and grits, I was told it was good with a little spice. Two of us ordered the salmon with crab/corn risotto (delicious). Mac and cheese ordered from apps menu, but as meal and the last meal was a pasta chicken dish. Great experience again!

Surprisingly pleased with my Walker's experience!…read more I met with a former student. Since I got there a little early, I ordered a small pizza as an appetizer. The waiter didn't quite know what I meant, but did get the request to slice it in smaller rectangles rather than triangle slices. It was light and tasty. However, I'm pretty sure I'd be very hungry if I had ordered it as my meal. That was followed by the beer can chicken cobb salad. It was just the right size! We sat outside. Since Walker's is at the end of the strip, they have outdoor seating on the sidewalk. No fault of the establishment, when the sun went down, it got cold quickly! Now, I'm inclined to try the other Table and Tap restaurant a couple miles west.

There are also a few annexes, including a cozy upstairs space. The staff is professional and welcoming. Everyone I know loves the beers here, but if you're not a beer fan (like me), no worries. They have wine, canned sodas, and water in a fridge, plus those fun machines with a variety of fruit crushes and even basic full-bar cocktail offerings. To get a drink, you simply order at the long bar or the side window. For those who don't drink alcohol, they also have a fun dirty soda bar to the right of the brewery inside the attached shop, Lucy's Little Red Wagon, where you place separate drink orders. Lucy's is an attraction in and of itself! You can bring your drink inside and browse the cute clothes, stylish jewelry, local snacks, and unique gifts. They have a packed event schedule with live bands, line dancing, trivia nights, cornhole, and all sorts of fun activities. We've met friends here, brought our teenage kids, hosted out-of-town guests, met coworkers after work, and always see plenty of young children running around. They're dog-friendly too! When you're ready to eat, just walk over to The Food Spot through the entrance to Lucy's. You can order at the counter or through the app using the QR codes scattered throughout the brewery. The food is remarkably good and has exceeded our expectations every time. They rotate weekly specials, and have a standing menu. Our favorites have been the huge salads, delicious pizzas, and flavorful flatbreads. Whether you're stopping in for a drink, a meal, live music, or just a relaxing evening with family and friends, Flood Zone has become one of our favorite local spots!
