So while I appreciate not getting "upsold" I would expect a tire shop to try to sell me tires when mine are in need of replacement. The guy up front seemed particularly bored to be there but didn't do anything wrong. I've just been to a number of shops relatively recently that are super energetic and happy to help ( Victory tire and auto Roseville, GP's wholesale White Bear Lake) I will bring to a different location next time I need an alignment. I did get the lifetime alignment which is a good deal for my AWD vehicle (220 for lifetime, 175 at another shop for one time) Was irritated to see $20 in shop parts for an alignment. WHAT HAPPENED: I blew out a run flat on an AWD vehicle in the evening not long before closing time. I called several large chains who specialize in tires closer to my flat location who all told me crazy things from "they didn't have the equipment to take my tire off and they'd have to cut it off and replace it with a regular tire" to "I could play for a regular set of tires then but a set of run flats when they ordered some" (aka pay for two sets of tires). HOW THEY HELPED: I called North Oaks Auto Service at the urging of a friend. Josh assured me they could handle my tire no problem and waited for me to arrive despite the fact he was getting ready to close. While they didn't have 4 tires that would fit my car they were able to get 4 tires in first thing the next morning and have me on my way by 10am! Amazing service and customer service. Competitive price. Super friendly team. Would completely trust them with my car again.
