Brought in my car for a tire alignment. Was shocked that they didn't point out that there was some significant abnormal wear on my tires (see photos)- inside tread is all but gone (hence the alignment) only note was my battery should be charged. So while I appreciate not getting "upsold" I would expect a tire shop to try to sell me tires when mine are in need of replacement. The guy up front seemed particularly bored to be there but didn't do anything wrong. I've just been to a number of shops relatively recently that are super energetic and happy to help ( Victory tire and auto Roseville, GP's wholesale White Bear Lake) I will bring to a different location next time I need an alignment. I did get the lifetime alignment which is a good deal for my AWD vehicle (220 for lifetime, 175 at another shop for one time) Was irritated to see $20 in shop parts for an alignment. Also disappointed not to get the alignment report The lobby is also surprisingly sparks. It feels like something is missing. read more

He indicated that this site is in legal battle with corporate and do not take customers thru corporate scheduling. Wasted my time. Incompetent customer service. Ordered a set of new tires for them to install. Was told it would be about 2 hours so I walked to a local business and restaurant. When I returned they had done nothing with my car due to not having the correct lug nut key. When I asked why they didn't call me, the service person told me he was "very busy." So I spent 2 hours waiting for nothing because he was too busy for a 2-minute phone call! Update: The manager did call to apologize and said he had a family emergency. I'm sympathetic to that, but the business still needs a better customer service mindset among the staff. read more

Because of the great service and budget friendly deal we get on tires, we gave them a try for brakes. I made an appointment & within 5 min of the appt time the car was in service bay. They explained everything & didn't push new rotors or anything. They showed me why they were not needed and showed why pads still were. They noticed I had new license plates in my backseat and offered to put them on for me! The bolts were rusted & a pain but they got them replaced, then refused to take payment for the help. The brakes are still great a year later. Good solid work, average price and honest hard working mechanics, I can't ask for more. read more

I brought my dodge Dakota in for an oil change &tire rotation. After 15-20 min, I was told by the new manager that the upper/lower ball joints were bad and the lug nuts were swollen and needed new ones @ $16/each! Total estimate was $2100.00. Went back later that day to hear the bill was $2,400.00! I checked internet before arriving and found parts should $400-$500. I questioned the manager & he took it back and said he accidentally "fat fingered" extra parts & labor. My new bill was $1,400.00, which I still feel was inflated with the (20)-$16 lug nuts(should be $5/each). I have been going there for 15 years & have never had that happen before. I needed an oil change and heard this Tires Plus does a great job...and does it quickly as well! While I was there I also had them check a tire that has constantly been getting low throughout the winter months to see if there was a nail/leak or if it's just the cold, cold air. The guys were super friendly and extremely helpful in getting to the bottom of it, and what I needed to do to have it be a permanent fix. The staff did an excellent job of not only thoroughly explaining the findings, but they even took the time to show me it as well. This is a neighborhood spot that my family has used for years. I just went in for oil change and tire rotation and they advised me that my tires don't need it yet! Always appreciate businesses that aren't constantly up selling but instead care that you do what's best for the car. The team is kind and we love working with them! Was told my flat tire could not be repaired and I would have to buy minimum of 1 tire. Tire had small screw in tread area of tire, not in sidewall. Should be a simple plug or patch repair for $30. Told them I need second opinion. Took tire to North Suburban BP today. They patched the hole and said he saw no plug or patch in there that Tires Plus claimed to have done. I see other review of this same mistreatment of customer. My tires have 11k miles on them, certainly don't need new tires but Tires Plus also said I should replace all 4 tires since I have AWD and they wont wear properly if only replace 1 tire. Avoid this shop! They do not put the customer first. They must have a hard quota on tire sales so they lie to you. I do know this is a franchise store not a corporate store. This particular owner is corrupt. If I could give them negative stars I would. read more

Stay away from this location. They are completely dishonest!! First red flag I needed a plug for a tire. They told me that the tire was unrepairable and because I had to replace that tire, I needed to replace all of them. That is untrue but I needed to eventually get new tires so I agreed Second red flag I told them I was looking for the cheapest set. Tires plus told me their cheapest set was $685 (171 per tire) for everything installed. Later they said they didn't have them in and had to order them. I asked again if there were any cheaper ones. Tires plus then told me the had a set for $155 a tire Final straw: I agreed to go with the original tires I had picked because the Brandon the sales associate told me the manager was going to give me a discount for $125 a tire. I agreed and they ordered them. Tonight when I picked up, I asked the total and Brandon said $700 something. I was like "we agreed to $125 a tire. He said he forgot to put the discount. He adjusted the bill and it still came to $666.47. After I repeatedly tried to get him to print out the bill summary, finally said his manager only approved each tire for $130 a tire. And that corporate wouldn't approve them at the price we agreed to. In conclusion: With all the non-specified "service charges". I'm paying the full price. Worst auto place in the world, 3 hours to fix my tire . They were supposed to rotate my tires, said they did but did not. Only one had any fingerprints. Nothing but liars. 6 months before that we bought four new tires, 2 months later was making a noise, brought it in and they said the front two tires were shot. DO NOT GO HERE... I repeat, do not go here!!!! I broke down on the highway and called them up to see if they were open. I brought my car in and they told me it was my alternator and wanted $950 to put in a new one. Already a rip off. My car wasn't running as I really had no choice. They called me and said it's a computer issue and it wasn't holding a charge. They said I needed to bring it to a car dealership to find out what the issue was. Turns out the alternator was fine, just needed a new battery. How does a "mechanic" not test a battery if doesn't start? They need more schooling. read more

My sister went hear to get some work done on her alternator. She had got it fixed and everything was fine. Until she pulled into my driveway, and her power steering fell out from the engine bay. Had to get it towed their to show them the horrible work they had done with putting things back together and how they have put her in serious danger. She received a full refund and we went to a dealership and got everything fixed by professional workers who actually know what they are doing. Aweful service and even worse mechanical ability. Took my car here for an oil leak, they said it was repaired when I picked it up and all was good, even though the light was still on...when I asked about the light they said it would go off once the car registered the new oil level in a few days. I took it home and the check oil light stayed on for another week. I asked them to take another look to make sure there was no leak, I also asked them to look at my battery and squeaking breaks. They seemed annoyed I asked them to look at these additional items while inspecting my oil issue but I shrugged it off. I was then told everything on the car was fine and there were NO oil leaks, NO break issues and NO problems with the battery (which barely turned over under 20 degrees). Frustrated and questioning their professional conclusions, I took my vehicle to the dealership to have it inspected and they identified 2 oil leaks, the need for a new battery and new spark plugs, breaks that were so bad it needed both new pads and rotors, and the engine was misfiring. In all the repairs needed totaled over $6,000. I paid Tires Plus over $900.00 to inspect and repair a minor oil leak. When I asked for a refund because nothing was fixed or actually identified, I was told the oil leak they fixed wasn't one of the ones the dealership quoted. Insane. Can't trust them. Curious about their business practices. I recently had them put new tires on. They ran out of time and did not do my alignment. Not cool. So I had to drop it off again today. I was at the local grocery store when Steve called from Tires Plus to say they had the results of my alignment test and that I definitely needed one. That my "front tire was off by a whole degree. And others were bad too." $80. I say to go ahead and do it. When I hung up the strangers around me said "are you taking about Tires Plus across the street (Centerville Rd)?". Long store short, 3 people around me had terrible experiences with them and told me not to trust them. I cancelled the alignment. When I got there to pick up my car, Steve mysteriously could not find the printout of the alignment test. So I insisted on speaking to the mechanic who did the test. Good guy. He confirmed that the alignment was not bad but that one rear tire was at .18 degree off, just barely in the red, and that I should probably get an alignment at some point but that it was not that bad. I insisted that they print-out a new report and waited 20 mins while they figured out what to do. Seriously? When they did, it confirmed what the mechanic told me. Steve seems like someone who will sell you what you don't need. If you go there, be careful. Try to work directly with the mechanics. read more

I wish I could give negative stars to this dump! My "friendly customer service agent", Steve "helped" me today. I called to ask if I could get in for a battery and was told "come right in and we'll take care of it". When I showed up, he was on the computer doing something and didn't acknowledge me for over 5 minutes until I began to leave. I was the only customer in the waiting area. When I told him why I was there, he proceeded to pull the "you're just dropping it off" B. S. that's typical and I reminded him that he just told me on the phone that they would take care of it right away and he gave me the high and mighty attitude as he argued that it would be "at least 45 minutes, if everything went perfectly". Well Steve, you can explain to your boss why I wrote this bad review specially calling you out for your piss-poor customer service. Absolutely the slowest service I have ever had. 3 hours I have been here for them to find a nail in my tires and replace them. Literally 3 hours. I have never say around so long for something so simple. Didn't help that it took them 30 minutes to tell me the tires they were going to put on we're not in stock. I called in and they quoted me a much higher overall price for a lower quality tire, and didn't include the tpms valve replacements, than what the website (that didn't know I was a woman and did include the valve replacements.) While I was waiting, they tried to tell me that I needed to have 2 more parts that ran $115 each not including labor (average price online was $50). To their credit, they were originally going to knock of $15 each and weren't going to charge me labor. My option was to spend $200 dollars or be left stranded without my vehicles, until I pulled up the actual law that he was quoting that said I DIDN'T need the parts. The best they were willing to do at that point was sell me the parts at cost, which still was an extra $65. They will not be getting my business again. I had a tire get a flat and they convinced me to purchase a new set of tires. A week after purchasing the new tires I kept getting low tire pressure warnings. I went back and was told they patched a small leak. Two weeks later again low tire pressure warning. Returned again and they "fixed" the leak again. Two weeks later again low tire pressure. This went on for almost a year. Finally called their corporate office who told me this is a franchise and should go to a corporate owned store. I did and was told the tire I had been driving on for a year was badly damaged. It had a massive amount of black rubber inside the tire. Now due to road ware I needed all four tires replaced. Two weeks before Christmas I have to speed money I don't have. Not to mention driving for a year on unsafe tires with my family. I complained to corporate and they covered some of the cost and given some free oil changes. I strongly recommend not going to this store. bought a set of firesone precision touring May 16 2015. a little over a year later started noticing noise. took a while to figure it must be tire noise and more time to finally find the time to bring car in - but I had to have my wife bring it in. guess what? they didnt notice any problem with the tires but did notice it needed an alignment for $85! a couple weeks later I brought it in myself and insisted they check for tire separation (thanks to suggestion of a knowledgeable friend) - and TWO tires had tread separation! Did they act apologetic for selling me crap and not finding it when my wife brought it in? Noooo. So they charge me $178 for two replacements (different model - wonder why the precisions aren't made anymore?). Today I see on Firestone website that these tires should have a 100% free replacement warranty. What do you think - are these guys crooks or what? read more
