    The food truck
    Ann D.

The service was very good for a food truck set up. I had the spicy tiger shrimp sandwich which came inside a piece of Texas toast. I think it would be better to eat the shrimp out of the toast since part of a shrimp fell out of the sandwich when I was trying to eat it like a sandwich. My friend got the chicken sandwich which I thought was better than mine but the chicken was breaded so that is probably why but it also had avocado on it and the bbq sauce was so good. The tater tots were nothing special but good. The ambiance was very clean and all of the tables had games on them. So we played dominos which was fun.

Early Saturday morning, a group of us did beach yoga right in front of the restaurant for a bachelorette party. Later that evening, the bride realized she had lost her engagement ring in the sand. We came back, searched everywhere with no luck, and eventually asked the restaurant if anyone had seen it. The general manager immediately stopped what she was doing, gathered her employees, and actually came out to help us search the sand. Thankfully, a patron had found the ring and turned it in to the restaurant, so WE GOT IT BACK!! I was so excited I didn't even catch the manager's name--I just hugged her! All the waiters and waitresses started clapping and celebrating with us. It was such a sweet moment. The integrity of everyone here deserves recognition. Someone easily could have pocketed an engagement ring, but instead they made sure it got back to its owner and genuinely cared about helping us find it. And while I was searching, I have to say...the food and drinks coming out looked delicious! After this experience, I would absolutely come back to actually eat here. Truly wonderful people working at this restaurant.

My sister's dog enjoyed brunch from the comfort of his stroller My husband got his usual cold brew and I got a spring water. We shared the avocado toast with egg and bacon added, plus a side of potatoes. The avocado smash was good and the egg was cooked perfectly, but the bread was a little dense for me. Nuzz really enjoyed the bacon. The POTATOES though!! So good. Thinly sliced, thicker than a potato chip, perfectly salted and super crispy. The side portion was generous too. Our total was about $53 for the avocado toast with add-ons, potatoes, cold brew, water and tip. I'm glad we shared because that felt pretty steep for one breakfast! And for my IBS friends Two separate, private all-gender bathrooms with actual doors. No stalls. We love to see it. Overall, cute place, good food and a different brunch experience. Nothing was bad at all, but for the price, I probably wouldn't rush back.

Not much was open which is how we ended up here. The place was super hot so we decided to order our food to go and there was a super annoying drunk guy ahead of us in line. I felt bad for the 17 yo employee stuck interacting with them. We ordered a sandwich with shrimp in it. L said it was good but the title shouldn't mention shrimp as they were super teeny tiny and basically non existent. I got the gluten free fried rice bowl with chicken spicy. It was not spicy at all, and the chicken was a bit dry, however I could taste the flavor of the chicken and the meal was bland enough that I knew I would be okay. Earlier in the day before the bowl we went to a winery and I had a headache, so this food for me last night worked especially since we picked it up to go and had it at our Air BnB.

There's no sign. I drove by several times and parked, determined to find it. It was next to Lama Dog. I ordered at the window from a very friendly and efficient staff member. I found a nice bar-height communal table inside a super cool restored warehouse with awesome indie music jamming, also surrounded by big screens and sporting events. I ordered a bottled Arnold Palmer from the bar, not realizing the bottled drinks are self-serve. Nevertheless, the bartender kindly got it for me along with a glass of ice. Now here's the best part: the very best Turkey Burger I have ever had--way better than any take-out before. It's topped with garlic aioli, avocado, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and crispy skinny onion rings, just perfect. I also ordered the fries with truffle and Parmesan--absolutely delicious, though a bit too flavorful, which overshadowed the turkey burger's flavor. It was $25 for the Lobster mac & cheese, which I would've been more open to with a bit more fish in the dish. The ambience was lively, the service staff were warm, and the food was amazing. One of my favorite things they offered as starters were their assortment of mini muffins (banana nut, rosemary, cheese etc). They were so good! The staff was nice enough to give me some to take home at the end of our meal. As we were enjoying the muffins, there was point in the evening where the staff all came together and sang "Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. It felt special and was nice hearing everyone sing along. We eventually ordered a jambalaya pasta dish and fish with vegetables dish. Needless to say, the pasta was out of this world. It was creamy, savory, and perfectly balanced in flavor. I'd come back just for that pasta dish alone, and that says a lot as I am not a huge pasta lover. Since it was my birthday, they surprised me with an ice cream dessert with chocolate writing on the plate. I was most impressed with the quality of chocolate they used for the writing. It was not Hershey's syrup one would assume, they went an extra step and used high quality thick chocolate that they melted to write my birthday greeting in cursive. Thankfully my name is long so I could eat more chocolate lol. By the end of the meal, I left the Palace with a feeling of nostalgia and mild sadness because I had to leave. That's when I knew I experienced something special. I can't wait to go back!

The decor of the restaurant makes you feel like you've stepped into New Orleans--murals, Mardi Gras themed items, and cards on the ceiling! I was so excited that they bring out complimentary mini muffins! They are SO good! They have a few different flavors like banana nut, jalapeno corn, a rosemary one, etc. Definitely a highlight! For appetizers, we ordered the Cajun Popcorn and the Soft Shell Crab. I haven't had a lot of crawfish before, so I really wanted to try the Cajun Popcorn. These crawfish tails are dipper in cornbread buttermilk batter and fried. They're crispy and fun to eat! They give a sherry wine dipping sauce, which was also yummy! Would recommend getting these! We also wanted to try the Soft Shell Crab, and you can get it as an appetizer or an entree. The appetizer comes with one soft shell crab that's been stuffed with Bienville crabmeat dressing, coated the cornmeal flour, and flash fried. It has just the right amount of crispiness! It's served with a jalapeno beurre-blanc and rice. For our entree, we shared the Crawfish Pasta Lafitte. We couldn't get enough of the crawfish tails so decided to get the pasta that had them as well. The pasta also had caramelized onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, cream, and creole seasoning. Very tasty! Would recommend this pasta! For the fun part that I mentioned--they have a magician that walks around and does magic tricks at each table! It was entertaining and very cool to see some of the tricks up close! They also have a Sing-Along moment in the evening where they'll had out lyric sheets to everyone, turn on the music, and everyone sings the song together. They were playing "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong on the evening I was there, but the song changes and they ask you not to open the lyrics book until right before the song, so it's a surprise!

I'm glad three pickles didnt do sandwich week because it gave us an opportunity to try this place. Entrance is on Chapala Street and there is a small parking lot area in front. When you go through the entrance doors they're pretty slow to open and you have to wait for one door to close before another one opens. Inside is very nice and well lit, and the people here are very friendly. Even though we originally came for the sandwich week other things on the menu look delicious and we had to order them as well. The sandwich week Reuben was a half sliced bread with a generous amount of meat. The sauerkraut had a nice tang and the sauce gave it the perfect amount of moisture. So those of you on a low-carb diet this is a perfect sandwich for you. The potato and onion knish tasted like garlic mashed potato wrapped in pastry and it was delicious. The latkes came with sour cream and apple sauce... I preferred dipping it in the hummus. The sarice's harissa and hummus plate was very delicious. Everything was flavorful. While putting my plate away I did notice someone didn't eat the harissa. My guess is that they couldn't handle spiciness. To me, the harissa had the perfect spicy-ness and made me wish they gave us more. If you can't handle spicy, try mixing the red harissa with the hummus. The hummus was flavorful and not super salty! Even the olives they put on the hummus wasn't as salty as a lot of other places. The green sauce was also good. I would definitely come back for the hummus plate. Esp for the pita bread. It was super soft and almost like eating a cloud from heaven. The stuffed cabbage almost reminded me of how my mom makes it and they do provide some bread to dip it in... But the hummus was too addicting so I ended up dipping that bread mainly in the hummus. To me the coffee was mild but it went well with the food. But iced tea had a nice floral flavor. Near the end of the meal they did give us some dessert on the house. Since I didn't see the chocolate chip cookie when we ordered I knew that was fresh. The rugelach were a nice 2 biter...or you could eat it in one big bite. The black and white cookie had a lemony flavor that dries up your mouth, so its best with coffee or tea. The warm chocolate cookie initially made me think it had raisins in it, but there were no raisins. The chocolate cookie had flavors that reminded me of fall with warm baking spices like cinnamon or warm apple pie spices. It was interesting and made it unique. Service is also really good...they had a place to drop off your dishes, but throughout our meal we had employees stopping by the check on us and remove some plates. They also made some small talk to give you a personal experience.
