I now live out of the area, and boy do I miss this place! I can still buy white castles out of the freezer at the supermarket, but nothing beats the real thing at the restaurant. Burgers are cheap, good and always fresh. There's something special about those little white castles... Fries and rings as sides are good as well. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day (late night drive-thru only), which is convenient when it's late, you're hungry, and not much else on Middle Country Rd is open at 3 o'clock in the morning. Sometimes the service is pretty slow late at night, but it's because not as many people are working and they are making everything fresh on the spot for you. Haven't had breakfast there, but I imagine it to be good just like everything else! read more

Seems like they scrapped their attempts at the Hoity-Toity approach to Belly-Bombers. They have a garbage can again. The coffee stand seems a little less kept up with. When you get the White Castle craving you just know you have to go and get some or better yet a suitcase. JK. I think this is one of my favorite fast food treats. Wow did I really say that. These mini sliders are the originals and worth it. After a night out and you want something to eat. This is a great place. Pick up a combo pack and upgrade to a sack of fries, add sack of chicken rings, and a soft drink and your golden. While your up at the line you can see the staff making the sliders. I don't know if I am drooling at the food or fascinated by the process. Either way I stare. lol. read more

I like White Castle a lot as a chain, but find this location to be standard. I visited with my girlfriend for a late-night bite, and was surprised that she'd never been a customer before. Interestingly, the drive-thru here is awkwardly long, and cars behind me were honking at me because I didn't roll-up fast enough. We ordered fries and two jalapeno sliders, both of which were typical. Be aware that the fries here are crinkle-cut, and barely salted (which may be unexpected in today's fast-food dining world). The price was cheap, and gets cheaper as volume increases. I recommend ordering a crave case for the novelty, and seeing the shocked expressions of your health-conscious friends. I had never been to White Castle previously and wanted to try it because I had heard a lot about it. I ordered a cheese slider, fish slider, and chicken ring slider. It was not nearly as cheap as I thought it was going to be. Over $5 for three very small items. It took a while to get my order and when it came it was in a take out bag even though I ordered in. It was also slammed onto the counter and the woman serving me just said "here". The slider was horrible, far worse than the McDonald's McDouble, which is the same price for four times as much burger. The fish slider was decent and very hot, but still barely edible. The Chicken ring slider I ordered came incorrect, they gave me an order of chicken rings instead of the slider. They were possibly the worse chicken tender type food stuff I have ever eaten. They had a similar texture to the fake meat soy products and even less flavor. I will definitely not be coming back. read more

As for the Centereach restaurant, it is could use a big improvement and it could use some training for their staff. On our last visit (yesterday 5/18/18) they were understaffed, the tables needed cleaning. We placed our order from the White Castle app and had to wait over half an hour more once we got there. Very disappointed our order was to be ready at 6:45, we got there on time and they didn't know we placed our order. We didn't leave until after 7:30 with our order. While we waited customer complained there weren't any napkins available, when customers kept asking they finally brought out a package of napkins the person behind the counter didn't know what to do with them, another customer had to grab a stack and move them to the front of the counter for other customers asking for napkins. Our onion rings were over cooked and our shakes were left on the counter way before our order was ready. Yes, I get this is fast food and not a 5 star restaurant but even a fast food place can have an organized shift manager who gives the staff direction. We didn't see any of that. read more

Ah the castle of white. It's a love and hate relationship. I love it when it goes down, and well you know the hate. So some people don't like the crave and I understand but I love it for what it is (drunk/stoner food). And the best kept secret is their breakfast is the best in the fast food biz. This White Castle always seems to be pretty clean and and puts out piping hot food. This is the ultimate late night food. Im not so much a regular at white castle but I do need my fix about twice a year. The service is usually slower than most other fast food places but its so worth it.They have an extensive menu with all different types on non-healthy treats. One year I even brought a crave case to a pot luck christmas eve party!! read more

Well as much as I absolutely love my White Castle (one of my many guilty pleasures) My other half decided we should eat inside instead of taking it home. I recommend to never EVER EVER eat here. The inside is filthy. French get remains on the floor...sticky benches and tables. It kind of ruined it for me. I gave 3 stars ONLY because I love my White Castle burgers...and the fast food restaurant itself is hard to find on Long Island. After having a bad experience at the location in Huntington Station, I decided to come here and compare. It turns out, it's only that Huntington Station location that sucks! I came here for a weekday lunch and opted for a fish sandwich combo w/ sack of onion chips and some fish nibblers. For the fish sandwich, I would have liked them to be crispier but they were fine. I removed a lot of the bread and ate mostly the fish. The fish nibblers were a lot darker than pictured but they weren't burnt and tasted fine. They're actually decent chunks (or processed into chunks) of fish and the breading wasn't heavy on these. The fish taste comes through. For the (full!) sack of onion chips, these were great. They were pretty big-sized chips and each one had a very distinguishable whole slice of white/clear onion. The batter could have probably been a little lighter but these were better than some that I've had in actual restaurants. These weren't greasy at all and the white onion taste comes through. In my opinion, the price you pay really isn't worth it - and don't be surprised if your total seems higher than expected: cheese costs extra and they don't tell you beforehand. First time at Whitecastle in 25 years! Back then you had a long wait time to place an order and even longer still waiting for your food. I used the White Castle app ordered my food and went to pick up. It was ready on time. And it was easy to place the order on the app. The restaurant itself was actually quite pleasant. However pretty much all our food items with the exception of mozzarella sticks lacked salt. Usually fast food is packed with salt but in this case It really needed salt everything from our burgers and french fries and onion rings. The food was generally tasty The only thing that was lackluster the onion rings. I think they used to be better back in the day. We will definitely be returning. read more
