Went late night. 2 cars ahead of me, 1st car didn't even order when I pulled up. Took another 5 minutes for them to order. Finally ordered 15 minutes later. Received food 10 minutes after getting to 2nd window. Sandwiches were cold because they were waiting for the fries to be finished. How do you not make enough fries? Especially since I ordered way before. Soda machine was broken. Sprite was horrible. No flavor or fizz, just sour water. Husband loves White Castle, and I occasionally indulge, but my 2-star rating is for the location, not the food. This location is small, way too small for the volume that clearly comes through here. Even at 10pm, this place was clearly overwhelmed. Given what I could see of the building and the size of the dining room, the kitchen is woefully undersized. The staff was neither rude, nor friendly, just indifferent. OK, fine, whatever. But SUCH A LONG WAIT. When you're tired from flying, so hungry, and just wanting to get to your hotel, waiting at this drive-through for 25 minutes was just awful, especially considering we were one of only TWO cars. read more

So super dirty. I was looking in the ice machine is filthy the ice cream machine the same. I got the 10 burger meal. I did not even want the soda. I can't imagine what the ice looked like. They started making the food as I got to the window. I drove to the bridge on 47 and Cicero and gave the food to the people there. I just could not stomach it. I think the only time I go to White Castle is late at night. I don't think I ever have the craving at any other time of day. I'm a simple guy and I normally just go for the cheese sliders but now they have all sorts of options to choose from. I also enjoy their fries and onion rings and I find myself sometimes only ordering those items off the menu! I always loved to get a Crave Case (30 sliders) anytime I need to feed large groups of people or if I'm really hungry...kidding. My new favorite item would have to be the Chicken rings. You can get a sack of 20 for only $4 and change. I just love the deal and it fills me up too! If you've never had some White Castle before, I would definitely worth a shot! What's the 1st thing you do when you flight lands? Go to White Castle, right? This location is convenient because it's near Midway airport. The food was fast & fresh but the drive-thru employee was not attentive. When we begin to order she rudely said "I'll be with you in a moment!" Huh, why, there was no one in front of us! Then we pull up to get our food & there's onion rings in the bag. WHY? We didn't order onion rings. And when we told her she says "you didn't order onion rings?" Ahhhhh, NO! She goes on to say "we'll have to cancel the order & re-ring it". The manager then walks up and said "can we just give you a medium fry so we won't have to go through the hassle of canceling then ringing it all over." Living in California, we don't have white castles, but I've always wanted to try one considering how big the hype is. Unfortunately, I was not impressed at all and this place fell below our expectations. I guess you could say it's just like every other typical fast food place. The employees didn't not seem happy to be there, it made me feel really bad for them. As far as the food, it was just ok. I ordered a few different sliders since they are so small and I wanted to try different ones. The patties had no flavor at all and seem like they were microwaved. The buns were super soggy. I love White Castle but this particular restaurant is horrible. The place is always dirty. Feet stick to the floor because the staff must you a dirty mop to clean the floors. The last time I was in there, there was homeless people passed out on the floor and the staff didn't t seem to care and a customer ahead of me noticed my disgust and said to me that that most of them are always there and that they yell and scream at customers if you try to wake them up. I saw nasty fruit fly's and dirty tables. After I ordered my food I had second thoughts and hoped that I wouldn't get sick. Staff and the manager seemed unfazed! While waiting I used the bathroom which was also disgusting. I saw a spoon used to cook heroin behind the toilet. How thIs store is still in business is mind blowing considering it right next to Midway Airport and is usually a first stop destination for travelers. Please corporate do something!!! read more

This white castle deserves NO stars after the issues I endured today, but Yelp doesn't give that option. I pulled up to the drive through, and as I pull up I see another lady in front of me pull off from the intercom very upset. I kept on going to the intercom (not knowing what I was getting myself into). The guy over the intercom tells me to wait, so I'm on hold for about 5 minutes before I said hello again. He tells me "Sorry, can you wait just a minute?" I said okay because I'm starving and I really wanted White Castle. So, ten minutes go by and my kids are in the backseat starting to become impatient, as was I. I said hello again, and the guy replies "Sorry, we're busy at the moment." I was about to reply when the lady behind me zooms past me and drives up to the window. Then, he comes on the intercom and asks me what I would like to order. When I drive around the bend to the window he's taking the lady's order who cut me off, and I was pissed because I have been waiting patiently to give my order, but he decides he is going to take hers and have me wait to pay for my food! The thing is, when I FINALLY get my food it is cold and hard and looks like it had been siting out for hours. It was not fresh AT ALL!! I went to this location on Wednesday 11/13/19 and experienced the most disgusting thing! After ordering my food. I proceeded to use the code to enter the women's restroom and was met with a male worker inside the restroom getting ready to exit as I was coming in. Walking in, I immediately notice the toilet with urine in it and on the seat, he never flushed not sure if he even washed his hands. I decided to wait until I got home to use the restroom. While I was waiting for my food, I saw the same male worker that I encountered in the restroom making food. I notified the manager. Her response was " I will talk to him" I will never go to this White Castle ever again. read more

Hi my name is Angelica and I'm addicted to White Castle. 12 years ago I moved from Chicago to LA and my addiction has grown stronger. The frozen burgers from the grocery store just don't cut it. You have to get the freshly steamed stuff from the castle shaped building. When I'm back in Chicago visiting, my mom picks me up from Midway and we bee-line it to the 63rd and Cicero location which happens to also be walking distance from the house. I get the #1 with cheese, fries and a coke. I'm torn between the crinkle cut fries and their awesome onion rings so I switch off with each visit. White Castle is definitely what I crave. read more

Just so happened to be right across the street from Giordianos Pizzeria (literally a 15-20 minute walk from the Chicago Midway Airport), so decided to stop on by after Giordianos. The White Castle burgers are CHEAP and SMALL (I'm talking only $0.61 for a White Castle burger). I can now say I've been there and done that. The burgers are honestly nothing that special or great, just had to try it after watching Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle! :D Fries were pretty good! They put pickles in the burgers, so don't forget to ask for no pickles when ordering if you are not a big pickle fan. Service was fast. Quality of food was poor. read more

Waited a long time to get a short interaction with the cashier. The cashier was in such a hurry that she walked away before giving me my receipt. The associates seem to be in such a panic when there is relatively no customers. I have yet to receive my food, but I'm sure I have nothing to look forward to since the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I had a great experience today at this White Caste location. We ordered a crave case and it was taking a little while, a very nice women, maybe the Manager, asked if we wanted a drink while we waited, we declined. She apologized and gave us a crave warmer with our crave case for the wait time and for us being so patient. We definitely were not expecting anything, nor were we upset with waiting, 30 cheeseburgers is a lot to make, but the gesture and her attentiveness was appreciated. I give them one star for being open late. However, it's clear they don't have the capacity or expertise to handle their flow of customers at night. Drive thru wait wasn't bad. When I get to the window my bag is ripped up the side. My stuff fit neatly in the bag so I'm confused how it got ripped and why the cashier thought it was OK to give me a ripped bag. But whatever, it was late. Driving past the window there was at least 10-15 people crowded inside the lobby waiting. So I was confused when I got home why ALL the food was cold and stale. I get its late but I ended up throwing the food out, for fear that it had been sitting out somewhere for hours, and they just didn't give a care and threw it my bag to get the line down. read more
