It's White Castle so I wasn't expecting much. I had time to kill and hadn't been to one in years. Service was atrocious. Employees yelling at customers and taking forever to take orders, dirty tables and just plain rude. The food was just like I remember it. I love the chicken rings and fish nibblers. I've been to this restaurant probably 30-40 times on trips to visit my wife's family in Minnesota. My family is annoyed that I have to make this stop every trip, but it is a tradition for me. Living in Nebraska, I don't have White Castle and nothing really close to it (except sit-down burger joints). But there is something about White Castle ... how they cook the burgers on the bed of onions, in bite size patties that you order in sets of 4/6/20/40/etc. I've had the original, the cheese, and several promotional varieties. This location is the main one I visit. I have visited others a couple times, but this location is the main one. On my last visit, I had a normal experience, which was just as delicious as the others. The staff is usually very friendly and the restaurant is clean. There are slight areas for improvement in these areas, which was the reason for the four-star review. But food quality, taste, and temperature are always consistent and spot on to expectations. The price is reasonable given the product and uniqueness - combos and cases are reasonably priced. I have always enjoyed my visits to White Castle and will continue to visit when I'm traveling north. read more

I bought a T-Shirt at one location, I had breakfast at another and of course many cheeseburger sliders at all the others. Packaged individually and neatly and oh so good. Great value for the price. I gotta say though, the smiles were few as I made a late evening run through the drive through... maybe the workers had a long day but I love some interaction when I pick up food. I have to lower my star rating and update my review based upon my most recent experiences. I used the drive through and wasn't greeted. After waiting, I spoke up and an employee was finally ready to take my order. After pulling to the window, the employee was taking another order while processing my payment, but forgot I had given her my card. I was then given one drink of two ordered, and it appeared like the employee at the window was overwhelmed and couldn't multitask. It took forever to get food. This isn't fast food. When I got home, the order wasn't correct, I wasn't given requested condiments, and the fries were cold and stale. read more

We came here in the afternoon and it was quite exasperating. Visiting from the west, I am told White Castle is something you just have to try (which I've avoided during my other trips to the east coast). It took a good 10-15 minutes for the staff messing around loudly and yelling at each other to stop and ask us what we wanted to order. When we tried to get our drinks, the soda machine was broken and when we mentioned it, the staff just merely stated they forgot. They didn't even bother with an alternative or to get us a drink from the other soda machine behind the counter. The food is pretty meh. I have eaten better everywhere else. I think this will be my first and last attempt eating here. I could do without it the rest of my life. read more

Absolutely love white castles food and always have. As usual when I visited this location their food was amazing. However their customer services, if it can even be called that, was some of the worst I've ever experienced. The employee who took our order was impatient and rude while we were ordering. When we got to the window the same person who took our order took payment and handed us the food. When asked for the receipt he acted like it was a major inconvenience. Our food was hastily thrown in the bag with zero care resulting in a mess of food strewn throughout the bag as all the smaller bags were tipped and busted open. We were also missing our sauces. I personally won't be visiting this location again and I wouldn't recommend anyone else do so either read more

Oh, it's such a blessing to have this fine dining establishment in Maple Grove now. I used to have to drive into the depths of Brooklyn Park for my slider needs, but now they can be met much closer to home! As a senior burger lover, I find that an outstanding parking lot and drive-thru is a great way to get me in the door. My Buick handles OK in this area, although I prefer visiting White Castle with Agatha because she has a smart car. Favorite memories of this location include: sharing stories with the friendly staff, Jorge is a kind man with a pleasant demeanor, although he still has yet to join me for that game of cribbage! Dawn is a vivacious black woman, she handles those sliders with poise and accuracy, and has yet to disappoint. The breakfast menu was a secret to me for years, but now I can enjoy White Castle any time of the day. After church on Sundays, while my appetite for Jesus is quenched, my stomach is growling and these breakfast choices are outstanding! The maple and brown sugar oatmeal is something I can even eat before I put my dentures in, and the berry blend is mouthwatering. I tend to get this item after my Walgreens prescription refill runs that I make weekly. If the dentures are in, it's the breakfast sandwiches on wheat with egg, sausage and cheese that I flock to! Perfect food to eat on a late night after drinks. While White Castle is known for their tiny delightful burgers; it is their chicken rings that really stand out. You can get a bag of twenty chicken rings for under $7. The fries here are legit as well. I've never had a problem with their service even in the middle of the night. You'll get you're food quickly and it all tastes great. This White Castle location is very clean, the service is great, and the food is good. I've never been disappointed at this location. read more

I am a White Castle lover and I keep stopping here when the craving hits hoping that the staff steps it up a notch. I'm not sure what the issue is with their pop machine but nothing tastes right unless you go inside and get it yourself. Today my classic coke tasted like it was mixed with strong cherry syrup. A simple burger order with a request for "just ketchup and pickles" rarely comes out right, today there was mustard dripping off it. This review is based on breakfast only, I have not had anything else here, yet. Had a coupon for a bogo breakfast slider. They were something like $1.50 each, you have your choice of bacon, sausage, or the normal burger patty. I had 2 sausage, kicking my self now for not trying a bacon also. I did not expect this to be anything special, we'll it was fantastic. It is the normal square bun, and American cheese that comes on every burger, with choice of meat, and an egg. I did not see if it was a freshly cracked egg, liquid from a box, or a frozen patty already cooked and heated up, but it was good, and fresh tasting. I also tried a medium hash brown, which were just like the little circle ones at Burger King. They were freshly made for me not sitting under a warm light, hot and crispy. There was no salt which is typically sprinkle on deep fried potatoes of every kind. Not sure if this was an oversight, or on purpose, but I preferred it that way, not needing all the salty goodness for a breakfast item was perfect. I would go back and try more breakfast items. The customer service was top notch. How can you screw this up? You ask. We'll the White Castle in coon rapids has a masters degree, going for a PhD in screwing it up.
